“We have tried several Chinese places in the Temple Terrace area, but China Star has surpassed them all. They are price competitive, the store is clean and their soups are the best around. We haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but their quality and consistency over the last 9 orders we have placed are spot-on. Definitely a good choice in Temple Terrace.“
“I have been coming here for 10 years. My husband and I drive one hour just to come here because it is the best sushi restaurant I've visited in my life. The food and the service are amazing. The crab rangoon roll is my favorite along with their own home made eel sauce. Even missed these flavors while tasting sushi in Japan, where eel souce was unheard of.“
“You guys HAVE to try this spot at least once. It’s conveniently located so I keep finding my way there at least once a week. Staff is really friendly, food is delicious as always. Try their chicken gyro with the white sauce (I never remember the name). So “
“Lima is now one of my favorite places to eat. The restaurant has an amazing and welcoming vibe. The Service is one of the best you'll ever experience. If you are new to Peruvian food, they will give you the best recommendations to experience the most delicious dishes of Peruvian Cuisine you could have. The Peruvian Rotisserie chicken was juicy , tender, and perfect.“
“This is the best food. It is so fresh and tasty. Service was excellent, even with a full dining room. The egg rolls are like none that I have had. Fried rice was so good and loaded with chicken and vegetables and egg. Also, no greasy after taste. Very reasonably priced.“
“I was introduced to this restaurant many years ago. At the time, I was told this location had the best pho. It was good back then but this restaurant was so far from where I lived that I have not returned since. I was in the neighborhood and so I stopped by for a bowl. The broth was rich. It was excellent. Highly recommend! Will come back when I am in the neighborhood.“
“Excellent service very friendly. Very good food. I have no complaints about the place and its services. Supporting small places in these times of pandemic is the best thing we can do to shape the economy so they don't have to close their doors. Negative people go ahead and keep buying burgers and fries. Have compassion on the merchants and people who put all their effort and money to be able to have their store open, in this Pandemic. By a client with Cholera. It does not determine neither the food nor the place and its service by the hundreds that we like about this place to eat.
“Go go go! I can’t believe I haven’t gone here yet. But I can promise I will be making this a regular spot to eat and bring friends with. The food is amazing. My first time having a banh mi, and it was beyond what I expected. The veggies were fresh, bread was crispy yet soft inside, the meat was delicious and flavorful. They are THE standard for me now for a banh mi, I can’t see it getting any better than that (I got the combination banh mi). The fried dumplings were amazing as well, super crispy, the filling was great. The Chinese sausage sticky fried rice was very yummy as well. The tiger tea and the Vietnamese espresso with condensed milk were just as amazing as the food. Must try, nothing bad I could say. The environment was open, truly a family ran business which was so sweet to see, and everyone was so nice.“
“Immediately I was impressed that their website updates the Rios daily and has a comprehensive and easy to understand menu! We decided what we wanted and called in. The man on the phone was so polite, friendly and efficient! Noon on a weekday and still 10-15 min only for pickup. The soup that day was cream of asparagus and it was SO GOOD. Perfectly wrapped to be transported safely home and piping hot. I went with the egg salad on a whim and it was perfection. My friend had the turkey Rueben and loved it too! Both came with a wrapped pickle for the sandwich and crackers for the soup. All very fresh, homemade and tasty. Additionally the prices were fair and Al the sandwiches came in a half or whole size and soup a cup or bowl. Will definitely order here again! (Also plenty of easy parking for Togo!)“
“I never EVER do reviews but here i am.Me and my family went out last night 3/28 for my grandpa and mom’s birthday and our server STEVEN made our experience so much better! The patience he had with a group of 11 was amazing! Kept a smile on his face and alwayyyss made sure we were okay and everything was stocked up with salads and breads. SOMEONE GIVE THIS MANN A RAISEEEEEE LOL! No but forreal thank you Steven for such an amazing night!“
“Found by chance driving past, so glad we stopped. Yummy everything! The kinish was perfect and the matzoh ball soup was delicious, lots of chunks of chicken too! And the kugel, mmmmmm! Will definitely be making this tiny jewel a repeat stop! Just wish Mom was around to enjoy it with us…“
“Jordyn was a fantastic server!! We cannot say enough good things about her. It was our first time there (the group of us are from Canada) and she was so efficient, kind, and sweet! She was working so hard yet kept making sure to check in on us constantly. Thank you for making our experience unforgettable, Jordyn!! ❤️- the 4 girls from Canada you served on 13/04/24 around 4pm“
“Servicio y comida excelentes! Desde que llegamos a la puerta, hasta que nos fuimos. La atención a mi hija con necesidades especiales, A+. Un lugar muy acogedor, tranquilo y limpio. Los recomiendo!Wheelchair accessibility: Total accessibility“
“Gotta love an empanada! First time at this particular store. As usual these little tasty pastry stuffed pies are AWESOME!! My go to is the spinach, artichoke and cheese. Soooo good. Then I usually get a beef and cheese. The Apple ones are great for a dessert. We always overbuy!! But thrown them in your toaster oven and they come out perfectly. They even puff up a bit! If you have never tried an empanada, then you need to run to this place, choose your favorite flavor and enjoy! Oh, and don't forget to get extras to warm up at home for another tasty meal!“
“We came in 30 minutes before closing and they were happy to serve us. Had some hot sake and those Thai-style eggrolls to start with. For our entrees we had the pepper beef and the pad Thai (Thai spicy) which were both fantastic. Both entrees came very quickly and the staff was great. Will be returning!“
“Got the Soup flight, French Onion, and the Cuban Sandwich. The Cuban was 7.5/10 would’ve been better if there was more pork there was not enough to cover the whole sandwich. All three of my soups in the flight were cold by the time I got to the last one it was inedible. The French Onion soup was phenomenal. The spicy bbq sauce was very nice. Kevin was a very attentive and had great energy. I would suggest to put up something to zap the bugs at the door they fly around your food the whole time.Parking: May have to walk a bit after parking it’s in Ybor“
“After eating in Colombia for over two weeks I can safely say that this place has some of the best empanadas in Colombia!!!! From Bogota to Villavicencio to Cali! This truly reminds me of proper empanadas made fresh. 100% worth it and worth the stop“
“This place is becoming one of our "fav" when ordering asian cuisine; taste wise and mostly freshness. They offer a variety of food including vegetarian and all great!I usually order via Uber and they are really amazing to prepare the order in a timely manner, I always have my orders fast.Whether you live in the area or visiting the Brandon or surrounding areas, this is the place to visit if you crave for Asian food, you will definitely not be disappointed at all!“
“All around great tasting food and experience! It feels like a very cozy, friendly, community-oriented restaurant. Very welcoming as soon as you enter and the food was delicious! Their soups are great and unique. I had the Buccaneer sandwich which was also super tasty and felt healthy.“
“We’ve had numerous of wonderful experiences here, although the all of the staff are very kind, Chris stands out the most. He is very attentive and will ensure that you experience the professional joy that Harpoon Harry’s is about. I highly recommend this place and am now a reoccurring customer.“
“First time back to an OG in a couple of years, it was a very pleasant experience. Friday night at 7:15, we were seated in 10 minutes and were greeted by our server almost immediately. We were never rushed but everything was served in a timely way and tasted great. We'll be back again soon!“
“Wanting dim sum, but obviously arriving too late at 6 PM we had to order off the menu because this place is beautiful. Large spacious plenty of seating, several private rooms along the side of the dining room. Sit down to beautiful China on the tables as well as a view of all of the live fish tanks. We ordered salt and pepper, fried tofu and shrimp in lobster black bean sauce. Start with some green tea absolutely fabulous tasty food large portions served beautifully. I always have to bring my own take away containers for anything left over after the meal and the weight staff thanked me very much. So feel free to use your containers, at the end of the meal we received a check and a complementary dessert, which was fascinating because it was a warm red bean soup with tapioca. Interesting that a bowl of peanuts is put out on the table just to Nosh on and they were very good because they were Spanish red skin peanuts. Beautiful restaurant located in the back Plaza next to the M and D market. that is not to be missed. Plenty of parking.“
“as a native New Yorker, i am always asked my reviews on three things.pizza. chinese food. bagels.and i always compare what i eat here in florida to what I've had in new york because new york will always be better... right?well. China Star is the first chinese food spot where I can confidently say it reminds me of home. i always get the crab rangoons, and i like to switch between shrimp and broccoli and vegetable lo mein. the shocker came when i went back to new york a month ago and had a meal from my favorite chinese spot... and found i liked China Star more! with their crispier crab rangoons and more flavorful fried rice, i was left unsatisfied from the restaurant that was once my favorite spot!!you're officially number 1, China Star!“
“Really cool building and the sushi was amazing. I have a gluten allergy and was able to get GLUTEN FREE soy sauce. They also were able to make some tempura rolls just normal so that they were gluten free.Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy“
“We had takeout from here tonight and everything we ordered was amazing, and great service. Best chicken tikka I’ve had in Tampa. Aloo saag and butter chicken dishes were very flavorful and delicious. They also had vegan friendly options. We plan to be frequent visitors here!“
“Delicious and pretty fast too. They got my order correct, and I always want some extra cheese everywhere. Perfect.Omg, I just had to edit my review because I didn't say enough about how good this food was. It was so delicious that I will be tipping the kitchen next time I order! It is seasoned and cooked to perfection! So good that I stuffed myself with too much food because it was so good I couldn't stop eating! ?“
“This little coffee and more shop is a well hidden gem! It's tucked away on the second floor of an office building. I just found them today while looking for good breakfast food and/or soup! The executive chef Antwoine is very accommodating and flexible. Within reason, he will alter the menu item(s) to accommodate your wants! I highly recommend!!!“
“Margaritas is a Davis island staple. I eat here at least once a month. I love the chips and salsa!! The strawberry margs are delicious, as well as the enchiladas. Service is good, they can get busy but have so many people helping out. This place can be fun with live music and sitting outside when it's nice out is great!“
“I had the pleasure of eating tonight for a pre birthday celebration with a good friend who introduced me to this restaurant. I must say "What a Wonderful Experience " Great food, atmosphere and excellent service. My dish was the Salmon with Fried Rice along with the fresh Spring Rolls and Fried Spring Rolls as an appetizers....Yummy!!!My waiter..."T" was Amazing...so Kind, Knowledgeable, and Attentive. Great Service Hands Down!!I will be coming back soon!!?“
“This place always has a healthy crowd of regulars. Service is good, food arrives quickly and I'm able to eat here on a 45 minute lunch break. What keeps me coming back is the food. The presentation is beautiful and it tastes amazing. This is the best Thai food in Tampa!“
“We enjoy coming to Margaritas, the food is great, it's always super busy so therefore the service is a little slow. The tacos are very filling and the serving amounts are huge! I don't fancy Mexican much but the variety of food they have, always keeps me coming back for more. the sangria and margaritas are excellent. Not a complaint about this place. We love it and will keep driving 45 minutes to keep enjoying their cuisine. Tell me what you think when you go there for Mexican next time ?“
“Consistently perfectly prepared meals, dine in or to go! Soup was amazing, 3 people, $40ish, left overs, appetizers and beverages.Vegetarian options: I had vegetable pad see-ew. Packed with perfectly cooked vegetables. Portion was enough for two meals.“
