“I ordered two large ox tail dinners 4 Feb 24. To my surprise it was $53 and change. When I got home to eat the ox tails they were tough and rubbery. Which tells me they were not cooked long enough. Very disappointed. To salvage the ox tails I put them in a crock pot with a little vinegar to soften the up.“

“I've been going to Contreju since about 2016. I don't know what the hell these people with these low reviews are talking about. This food is outstanding! I don't know what's wrong with these people's pallets. They obviously don't know good food when they taste it. This food has so much flavor. If I could eat it every day, I would. And the owner is so sweet. She greets me every time I come, and ask me how I'm doing. I would say the people that are saying they are rude, have no respect for their elders. I stand by Contreju.
