“They need some work. We went to the Lake Oconee/Eatonton Location. The service was bomb, expedient, and the staff were very nice.The food, overall, hella salty.Also, The chicken was of poor quality--It didn't taste right-- the chicken tasted bruised and cheap, maybe like it was reject-quality chicken.The okra, fries, etc. was so salty that the inside of my mouth became raw (that's off of one regular-sized order). I have a heart condition, and I was making an exception because I was with family. I don't usually eat salty food. So, I kept my mouth shut.The french fries were soggy and not done. Maybe the grease wasn't hot enough or rancid (though, they didn't taste rancid) but we had to throw'em in the air-fryer to get'em right/done.These critiques are intended to help not harm. So, this is why I didn't give the place a low-rating because the customer service was on point, and the staff were above and beyond--y'all keep up the good work but talk to the owner about those recipes and changing his chicken distributor. Much luv.Dietary restrictions: Not for people who might want to make an exception, but suffer with BP issues, Heart Conditions, or Sodium restrictions. They are worse than fast food chains.“
“Slow down and enjoy real sputhern soul food home cooking. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu or desserts. Half of the locals take away amd there is seating. For mains, the fried pork chop was the table favorite. The catfish was my favorite. Don't skip the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese bites. For sides, the collards, green beans, rutabaga, and mac n cheese were cooked to southern perfection. If you come on Sunday, Stella's fills up with the church crowd after 12:00. It's off the beaten trail and worth the drive outside Eatonton.“
