“I will start in reverse. The food, cocktails and appetizers were delicious. The waiter and bar staff " Top Shelf". The cleanliness and restaurant theme decor, on point. Now, this is where I have a problem. Ive eaten at restaurants all over the world, I have adhered to many dress codes. A 600.00 Cowboy hat is part of a look that is acceptable in many fine dining restaurants all over the Country. To embarrass someone and tell someone to remove a hat, due to a poorly posted " No hat Policy " is ridiculous. Its not like a ratty, sweat band crusted Masters Baseball cap or similar. This is why I'll take our 300.00 + dollar dining elsewhere, not for lack of food but character.”

“There were four of us for a 60th anniversary dinner. The food was outstanding from the amuse bouche salmon tartare to the develed egg and buratta appitizers through the main courses of elk chops, trout pecandine, lobster tails and gnocchi and filet mignon and ending with the beignets and peach and flame desserts. Expensive but well worth the price for the food and service.”

“In my reviews, I share exactly what happens during my experience as a customer. There are certain things that I focus on service and atmosphere sometimes before the food review. I always pay attention to the health food inspection score if its not a 90 or higher we don't dine in or take out. I'm leaving the five-star rating only because the food was delicious and worth the price.

The lady at the counter was unpleasant when asked about certain bagels which I hope isn't the owner. During the order, no one was behind us not sure what the rush was about. Now, note this was the first time in the establishment was a small surprise we were trying this place recommendation from friends. I would say the atmosphere wasn't welcoming felt very uncomfortable to the point of walking out. The entire time while in the establishment placing the order we were being stared at by the customers and staff. Our appearance matched what other guests were wearing having lunch.

I've shared this location with friends and advised them that the food turned out great but there are other issues that I did not disclose. I'm not sure if diversity training is a thing but banknotes come from every race. The staff at this establishment should be trained on how to treat each customer the same regardless of their race. I'm only saying this because I watched the interaction between the couple behind us who walked in ten minutes later they were treated like Jordan Spieth at a Champions dinner. Perhaps, we could blame it on a bad day will not return.”

“This is gotta be one of my favorite southern food joints since moving here. The food is really really amazing the fried pork chops or something. I definitely recommend the peach cobbler is also very delicious. The staff is really really friendly. The restaurant is really really clean inside and outside. I definitely recommend Goolsby’s for anyone coming in the area. Trust me, you will not regret it.”

“They have an entire menu of chicken salad flavors—it was honestly impressive. I got the pickle flavor on a croissant with broccoli salad, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and way better than I expected. The place was clean and cute, I went with friends and had a great time, (parking is a little tight during busy times) I definitely recommend it.”

“Wife Savers recently catered an event for St Alban’s Episcopal Church. I was very pleased with the service from first contact with the staff to the actual delivery and set up of the food. The food was delivered hot and it was delicious. The guests were very complimentary of all of the dishes especially the mac and cheese. The amount of food was generous and reasonably priced. I would use them for catering again for good service and food and no hassle.”

With that said… *BUYER BEWARE!* *Don’t splurge for the fancy candles* *Theres NO WAY the 10” serves 18* ~~~~~~~~ 1st time ordering, but have had their bundtinis in the past. So, I knew exactly what I wanted for my own birthday; the white-chocolate raspberry bundt cake. ~~~~~~~~ I wanted an actual cake. My options were the 8” that *serves 8* or the 10” that *serves 18* (serving #s from website, $10 difference) Wasn’t sure of the # of guests attending b/c this was a casual dinner at my dad’s house, RSVPs weren’t a thing. Figured it was better to have too much than not enough so I got the 10. 5 guests finished half the cake. We didn’t have huge servings either, maybe 2” slices each. ~~~~~~~~ BIGGEST let down was their “TOPS Malibu Sparkler Candles” at $4.50 each (for the smaller size). I purchased 2 star shaped, a #4 and a #0. Four candles, $18. On the website they are described as: “TOPS Malibu Sparkler Candles…add the finishing touch to any Bundt Cake...From the first flicker to the final wish, our candles transform your cake into a memorable centerpiece…Sparkler candles burn clean and leave no black smoke or residue behind.” My dad and one of my brothers each attempted to light the candles. Nothing happened. Then, after about 15 seconds of a regular lighter being held to one spot, the spot turned black. No signs of any kind of spark or flame. My dad decided to look at the packaging they came in. On the back, it says, “May take up to 50 seconds to ignite using a *BUTANE* lighter”. (This info is NOT on the website. No one said anything when I placed my order over the phone or when I picked up in person). Total bust. ~~~~~~~~ In summary, the cakes are fabulous, but ask lots of questions before you order, especially about the decorations/extras/add-ons.”

“Loved the shrimp pad Thai spice level 3 with a Thai Tea. Nom Sod is a great appetizer. If your a peanut butter fan you can not go wrong with Satay. Another favorite of mine and must try is the Gaeng Mussaman curry! (Not pictured) As a local mortgage banker and going to lunch often…. this is my favorite Thai place.”

“Mi Rancho in Evans is my favorite Mexican restaurant (period). I travel from Hephzibah to Evans to get take-out, I know there are closer Mi Rancho restaurants but I like the Evans location. My food is always made to order, the customer service is always on point, and I love the atmosphere. Years ago my daughter had rehearsal with the Augusta Players Jr. at Greenbrier high school, instead of sitting through her rehearsal I had dinner at Mi Rancho, I’ve been comeback to this location for great Mexican food every since. Call me a creature of habit, ok. But, I know what’s good and I know what I like. Oh, by the way I did double to Mi Rancho’s for my daughter a entree to go. Maybe I’ll see you there.”

“This is called Top China for a reason because it’s the best in Evans, GA. My family and I started coming to Top China in June 2023. This is a family run business that takes extreme pride in the Chinese dishes they serve. We have tried other Chinese restaurants and they do not hit the mark of service, taste, and fast service. If you’re in Evans then do yourself a favor and try Top China!”

“This course is sooooo much better than any of these previous reviews would leave you to believe. The greens are mint the fairways are plush. I honestly wish I could have see what everyone else has been seeing. I will say some of the cart path areas are rough but a far cry from back breaking everywhere. Most the time you can just drive around the areas. Also there are water areas through out as well to refill your water which is also a nice upgrade. All in all I loved it I will def play again if in the area.”

“The flour tortillas / soft tacos here taste highly chemical processed. This was a turn off for me.
By contrast Chipotle's flour tortillas are so delicious you can even have it by themselves.

The best part however was the attitude and consideration of our server, Madeline. It was clear from the beginning that she cared about our experience and was attentive to every detail. I so appreciate someone who works so hard to be the best representation of themselves no matter what they are doing. Cracker Barrel, Evans Ga, should consider themselves blessed to have such a conscientious server as they do in Madeline. If there was a fifth star, she would certainly deserve it!”

“Yesterday my kid was hungry. ONE hour before the parade had to start. I told her we could get a quick bit at Zaxbys. When we walked in almost PURE chaos. I was worried she wasn't got to get anything to eat. There were kids making a mess in the bathrooms, the ice was all over the place, long line and I was at the end of it. When we finally made it to the counter, my baby ordered and we waited. When her order was ready (which was quick) I went to get my drink NO ICE and NO COCA COLA! Which I didn't mind, it was pretty packed. The young lady was changing the syrup but she had to do 6 packs. I had a parade to go to. I was the driver of the float....ANYWAYS the entire staff was patient, friendly and helpful. Thank you for all you do. We made it back just in time! Merry Christmas.”

I used to avoid this Applebee's but while I was here, the manager came and checked on me and cut up with me and was just as friendly. If you haven't been to Applebee's in a while, come back. I'll even agree the food surprised me.”
