I love pork chop, gnocchi, salmon salad, scallops, plat bread pizza. The portions are not enough to me and my friends lol so we needed to order plates more. “This place ROCKS! I've been to many seafood wholesalers that really smelled of strong seafood...this place did not. It was very clean and tidy. The restroom was very clean. As we waited for our food, which was prepared, breaded, and fried right in front of us, a worker was wiping down glass display fronts as well as table and counter tops. The cashier who took our order was the most pleasant lady. All of these things are great but not why I came...I wanted good food and I was not disappointed. My fried shrimp was amazing; perfectly seasoned and cooked - no rubbery shrimp. The sauces were to-die-for. My wife's grilled shrimp was just as good. We will be back. Thank you for a great meal.“

“First time trying and I enjoyed it. Had the rib plate that comes with two sides, I chose the coleslaw and Mac n cheese, garlic bread and a couple of pickle slices with onion. The Mac was not your traditional type. Instead of cheddary it was Parmesan with a hint of what I believe was dill. It was good but different so just consider that. The coleslaw was didn't have a lot of flavor. Wasn't gross or anything but I just assume eat KFC slaw. The ribs were really good. Juicy and tender. They put sauce on the side, so I was a little mixed on my feeling about that but the ribs were so good they really dont need any sauce. Probably works better for the other meats. The negatives were that parking is not very accessible. But all of downtown Gainesville is like that, so not much can be done. If you're lucky you can get a spot in front on the side of the street. They could use two improvements though. A couple of more side item additions and a two or three meat combo platter. I believe this is the only BBQ place I've been to that doesn't. They could add one and easily charge up for the single meats were not crazy priced. I will eat there again if in the area. The place is also bigger on the inside than it looks from outside.“

“Excellent food and reasonably priced. We needed something quick before seeing a show at UNG. We went for the fried shrimp and whiting baskets, but if we had had more time the boils being eaten at the tables around us looked amazing. Staff is friendly and efficient, prices for the fried meals were very good. Boiled dish prices seemed very good too for the amount of food received. The rolls come out with massive chunks of Garlic on them, MASSIVE-see pic. I don't like garlic so I didn't eat the rolls. The salad is good, the dressing is bland but the salad has chick peas, beets, and lots of other good veggies. Our dinner portions were huge. Attached is a pic of the pasta sampler entree with meat sauce. Both our dishes also had a lot of garlic in the sauce. I feel like people use garlic to mask bad flavor or no flavor. The owner's attention to internal design elements, such as prominent TV screens, extensive decor, and a well-crafted countertop, created an environment conducive to beer enthusiasts. However, I believe there's room for improvement in the service; a lack of smiles from the servers was notable. Toney is fantastic people who care about every person there he supports our police in our military with a big banquet to raise money for them. “This place is outstanding. We moved to Buford from Savannah. We experienced great seafood in Savannah. We found that Fish Tales equals any seafood restaurant we have tried in Savannah. First, our server, Ofek, was outstanding. He treated us like family. He was probably one of the best servers we have ever had.As for food. My wife got the grouper basket. She normally doesn't get fried food, but tried this. She is now hooked on the fish basket. She said leftovers were almost as good as the original meal. I got the seafood basket. The oysters were outstanding. The shrimp were average. Next time, I will get the grouper and oysters.I got the Tale Ale and my wife got wine. Both were great.This place is a definite go to.
