“I think I’ve found where all the good chefs in Georgia went — Murphy’s Restaurant in Griffin, GA! This place is an absolute gem for breakfast and lunch (they close at 2 p.m.), and it captures everything you could want in a small-town dining experience.

If Anthony Bourdain were still with us, he would love it here — the food, the people, the atmosphere, and the pure authenticity. There’s a warm, old-fashioned, neighborly feel that makes you feel like you’ve been coming for years, even on your first visit. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and they make you feel like family.

We go so often now that we don’t even need a menu! Everything they serve is made with care and flavor. If you’ve never had a Torta, you’re missing an important part of life. Their tacos are heavenly, and the pancakes — I’m convinced — are the fluffiest on earth. Honestly, I’d have to list the entire menu to do them justice.

Murphy’s is the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants matter.”

“Healthy options in more ways than one! My name is Danielle, I had a Drs appt this morning in Griffin. Long story short, my mom got out of my car at Sock Shop. I am diabetic and after driving around, stopping at Louise’s (going in, wandering then leaving) I ended up at Waffle House #2212 (Taylor St) my sugar had bottomed out and I couldn’t talk, see well, or converse. The waitress Jess was so sweet. She kept asking me questions and brought me a plate of food showing me how to eat & drink. The manager John helped me get my phone out & called my family. Guys, when I say I couldn’t talk, it was BAD. I was in a trance. Jess & John took care of me, called an ambulance to check me out. My sugar started rising so I started to come around. My faith in HUMANITY has been restored. I don’t know where I would’ve ended up if not for their compassion! Thank you Jess & John, I will be a regular visitor when I can in the future.”

It was like, if they didn't look in my direction, I wasn't there. Then a woman, I presume, was the manager asked what I was waiting for, and I gave her my order.
The order came out quickly. It was hot, and the fries were crispy and good.
The Icee machine is down and they didn't have tea.
The dining room was clean. The music was at the correct volume for me.”

I had the Reuben sandwich and my husband had the cubed steak. We shared the southwest egg rolls. The waitress learned we rode our motorcycle and being a rider herself, she asked to pray with us before leaving. This is a local gem!”

“Me and my sisters decided to eat here 6:00 on this Saturday and the service at first was great got our drinks waited for order to me taken that took forever but seeing other people come behind us being seated getting their drinks and after awhile their food and still no food for us then after the restaurant starts to clear out we received our food some guest says food was cold mine was warm I think we waited way to long to get food especially being seated before some guest”

My review is on the kindness of the employees at Bank St. I was holding a table for 4 and had just got my drink when I got an emergency call and needed to leave. Both ladies were very kind and wished me well and were just really, really sweet. Good employees are hard to find, and Bank St does have some! My family and I came up to eat Thursday 75 cent night they were understaffed, but they did a great job. But from my understanding they were very understaffed at the moment from what I heard they haven’t been busy like that in a Thursday night in weeks, which is understandable you put people where they are needed. Our server was amazing, but the owner had called and said some really rude things to her to make her cry, that is unacceptable, she did an amazing job and if we come back I hope to see here their again. Also when we were paying the amount of times the owner called to complain about something he saw on a camera instead of being there, you have a good staff, treat them like it. I was amazed by the staff and how they could work together under that situation when the constant calls from the boss. Yes it did get a little rough for a couple of minutes but I believe the kitchen and the servers did a fantastic job, including the Lady at the register. So I would like to say Thank you and y’all did a fantastic job tonight.”

“New owners now,hope they don't use the same recipe on there food,lemon pepper tasted like a box of salt and pure lemon needs tweeking a bit.try 1 min less on those tiny wings,way over cooked and hard.hang in there your food and customers will build up over time,consider suggestions. Frys were a bit over cooked,turned out soggy in those bags,just dump them in the tray,save your money and try a little salt.”

The decor takes me back to the show Happy Days with the Fonz (Henry Winkler). They even feature a stuffed cool cow on a motorcycle set at eye level for everyone to see & admire. “Everything is pretty much ran ok but it's just working there no customers in there eyes I guess. They let everyone order drinks and told them how the want a baha blast but the only drinks the machine just had root beer. But didn't say anything before the ordered”
