Mexican Restaurants near Lula

“SOOOOO!!My friend Micah F reviewed here and said I should try it.Well, thank you Micah and thank you Sarita's. Either the previous sentence, or I was gonna blame him for everything!! hahaWent for dinner for first time just now and have to say: I'm definitely going backStarted with chips and salsa. Chips were thicker than I'm used to and different grain, but was good. I didn't know you could do this, but they offered cheese (I think chorizo, but don't quote me) dip with any meat they have so I got the ground beef. Was very good. I'd recommend you try if you have not. Salsa was very mild and more brown. Don't care as they both were good.Got the chimichanga ground beef dinner. Came with rice, beans and the little salad toppings. I was underwhelmed as it only came with 1 chimi. Fear not, you don't need more. LOL 1 was plenty as it was full. But not artificially so as you know some make the shell folds appear bigger. But not here. I got my fill of ground beef and actual cheese. I could taste all the layers every bite. Not bland and not the same taste in every bite... you know what I mean. Real beef, real cheese. I loved the ground beef as it had a little char on it. Like past the point of it being just browned. Was actually the best meal of the type I can remember. I'm middle aged and stocky with a few extra pounds. I eat and was very satisfied.Only thing I can criticize is the sweet tea. It wasn't bad. But for as dark as it was, did not have tea flavor. So either was bad batch or they are using a tea blend I'm not familiar with but was sweet. But not quite sweet water. Just don't understand the lack of any tea flavor. I sometimes judge a place on being in the south and not being consistent with the tea flavor or making process. I know a one restaurant nearby that I almost got scolded at for asking why the tea flavor or making process is never the same visit to visit. All I heard was we make it the same every time. NO. NO YOU DON'T. So rather than judge Sarita's on the tea as that is my go to drink, I'm ignoring it for how good the rest of the meal was and the visit itself. Something I never do. Your food may be good, but if you can't make sweet tea, I don't need to waste my money on uncertainty. However, Sarita's tea will be ignored from now on no matter what it tastes like as the food is just that good.Server was kind and informative. Come on in an sit down at table. They will bring menu and greet you soon. Can pick up orders if you call in.They also have a breakfast menu. Not sure what that's all about, but maybe we will check it out.They have a few parking slots right in front, but I ended up on opposite side in an offset parallel parking lane. No trouble at all“

“Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant & Bar has been open for about six months, per the owner, as of October 2023. This restaurant is an excellent addition to the food desert in Lula and provides options without having to drive to nearby cities like Gainesville or Cornelia. PARKING There is a small lot in the front and street parking AMBIANCE/SEATING The restaurant has plenty of indoor seating, tables, and booths. There are two rooms where all of the tables are situated. I'd say there are roughly 16 tables total and bar seating. The table tops are wooden with a splash of festive, colorful streaks. SERVICE the staff was friendly. My party arrived around lunchtime on a weekday and was seated right away. Water/drinks and orders were all taken at a reasonable time. FOOD -Chips & Salsa: They were complimentary and delicious. The chips were fresh and warm. Salsa isn't spicy; it's typical slushie restaurant salsa. -Queso: The cheese dip portion was huge. It tasted good. It was very runny initially due to how warm it was, but the consistency thickened as it cooled down. -Combo #10: I didn't order this, but it tasted good per my SO. This combination consisted of one beef burrito, taco, and enchilada. -Enchiladas Mexicanas: I ordered this plate, and there was a ton of food. The main star of this dish is the cheese enchiladas topped with shredded carnitas (pork), sliced onions, sliced green bell peppers, and smothered in queso. The sides were a small salad (lettuce & chopped tomatoes), guacamole crema, sour cream, and Mexican rice. Everything was good, but I was hoping for more pork on the dish. The rice portion was heavy-handed. Overall, it is a solid restaurant to grab some good Mexican fixing. Their menu is extensive, and they have a bar; you can't beat that! Also, you seem to get a bang for your buck with the entrees/food here.“

“Went with my mother. With a name like Senor Fiesta wasn't sure what to expect. ? I was pleased.? I had the nacho daddys burrito and she had the brisket stuffed Chile rellenos poblano. Both were yummy and definitely would order again. The brisket was hella good in the poblanos. ? The chips and salsa were good. The waiter was great. This is a good tradition classic Mexican restaurant. Can easily see coming back.“

“The BEST Mexican place in Springfield!! The food and service are always top notch!!! Junior (our favorite waiter) is always so sweet & gets our order right every time. I HIGHLY recommend you check out this hidden gem of a restaurant. You definitely won’t be disappointed!!“

“Well, I ordered a carne asada burrito with everything, however they forgot the sour cream!? I also ordered 3 tacos carne asada meal with extra cilantro and onions, it did not seem like extra to me!? I would have given the meal between a 6 to a solid 6.5 with out the red salsa. With the red salsa a solid 8.5!!! I saved half of the burrito for home where l could add sour cream. Let me tell you, it took it over the top to a solid 9.5 possibly 10!!! The burrito and tacos were not seasoned enough for me... However that red salsa is perfectly blended with salt, peppers, herbs and spices!!! I am a serious Food Connoisseur(Foodie, Lover of Food) who has eaten authentically well prepared scrumptious can't speak until l am done cuisines from at least 50 different cultures and subcultures!!!“

“Got the Steak Supreme Burrito and three tacos (chicken, fish & shrimp). The best authentic Mexican food I had outside of Mexico…. Can’t wait to try everything else on the menu. Not only was the food great but also were the owners/workers!!!Parking: Plenty of parking“

“Probably of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Don't let the patina of the building scare you off, it's a great place. They also have lots of unique drinks, and a little candy section for kids in the front. A great place, and love what they are doing. Oh and another nice touch was the beef burrito was made with shredded beef, not ground.“

“Delicious food, always freshly made and served hot. Varied menu with multiple options. I plan on trying some of everything as all the food I've had is great, and all the food I've seen looks fantastic as well. A definite must try.“

“If you know you know. The OG authentic Mexican food around here don’t let the looks deceive you and don’t judge them for it. Go and get a taco. Get a gordita get a Cubana torta. Enjoy yourself take cash these people don’t deal with BS. Money ÷ food = you eating the food. Or something.“

Ignore the negative reviews on here…if you have functional tastebuds, you will love the food here, no other Mexican restaurant in town comes close.“

“Was extremely full and satisfied! Honestly we order way too much food. The restaurant took awhile to bring out our food when it looked like it wasn’t that busy. Bit disappointed with the chicken and the steak as they were very thin slices.I would recommend and would return for a second visit.“

“Heading back from the NC Mountains and stopped at this place in GA. Menu was extensive, chips and salsa were great. A good sign for mexican dining. Had lunch fajitas and wife had tacos carne asada. Huge portions and reasonable price. Will stop by this place on next visit to the NC mountains.“

“Stopped here for lunch in between games at a softball tournament just down the street. We all enjoyed the food. Pretty standard tex mex menu, and the atmosphere was comfortable and low key. The only reason I held back 5 stars for service was long waits between visits by the server. Not very busy at the time. Very friendly and helpful during his visits though. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would return again.“
