We had a group of 7 year old boys and Christy kept them interested while telling them all about chocolate. “We were in the area and hadn't visited this restaurant before, but knowing Mellow Mushroom wouldn't disappoint, we decided to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and bright. As we walked in, Ida greeted us and told us to pick our spot. Ida was quick to take our order and so pleasant to talk to...in fact I noted two kitchen staff bring out to go orders while we were there, and both, Amanda and unfortunately I didn't hear anyone call out the young man's name, but both of them provided exemplary customer service. I don't say that often, I'm a retired service level manager, so that word is exactly appropriate. They even opened the box and asked their customer if it looked good to them and thanked them for visiting. Now the food, we ordered the house special, of course it was excellent, and they didn't skimp on the toppings, the bruschetta was delicious. In fact, we ate it and some pizza slices before I even thought about taking pictures to share. It's roughly a 35-minute drive from my home, but we'll be back soon. “I was recently gifted a box of 4 mini-chicken pot pies from SBPC. I skeptically put two in for an easy meal a few nights after I received them. OMG! My skepticism began to fade as the heavenly aroma wafted from my oven. It was banished with the first bite. First, the filling was really good. Lots of flavor and just the right ratio of veggies and chicken to sauce. BUT, let's talk about the part that really matters- that crust. I have pursued the perfect pie crust over the better part of 40 years with some success. Still I was stunned at my first bite. How did this company make the best tasting, flakiest pie crust I have ever tasted, freeze it, ship it across country and put my efforts to shame!?! IDK but they did. So, logically I immediately ordered the cook book, and, well, I'm trying. May I suggest SPBC enter the ready made pie crust arena? Sign me up! Try the pie, y'all!“

If you order coffee you have a small pitcher on your table as needed!!. The jam they serve is a mix of 3 fruits and you can purchase small or large jars to take home.
