“Haven't been in literally years! I was very happy with the food and service: very fast ordering, all food fresh and hot, plenty of napkins in the bag, and a fork to eat the broccoli! Ate it so quickly, didn't take pictures... maybe next time“

“Excellent food and reasonably priced. We needed something quick before seeing a show at UNG. We went for the fried shrimp and whiting baskets, but if we had had more time the boils being eaten at the tables around us looked amazing. Staff is friendly and efficient, prices for the fried meals were very good. Boiled dish prices seemed very good too for the amount of food received. You will not be hungry when you leave New Lucky Crab House!“

“In a couple of words Cotton Calf was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I went on a date night. We had the calamari, signature cocktails, chopped salad, Delmonico ribeye, truffle fries, and the bread pudding for dessert. We got to sit at I guess, what would be considered a chef's table directly across from the kitchen facing the kitchen so that we could see the staff and all the food being prepared which was really interesting and entertaining. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous, the ambiance was on point for a date night and we were very well attended to without our server being overbearing. Everything that we had food-wise was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The drinks were well poured and delivered above and beyond expectations. This was our second time going and we had the same experience the first time we went. The bread pudding was the best I have ever had in my life. My wife and I always order bread pudding when we see it on a menu and this was top notch. I'm not going to say that in this case you get what you pay for because we've been to other restaurants that we could eat at for about half the price, but in this case I wouldn't change anything and the high price tag didn't lessen my experience at all. We will definitely be going again.“

“This place ROCKS! I've been to many seafood wholesalers that really smelled of strong seafood...this place did not. It was very clean and tidy. The restroom was very clean. As we waited for our food, which was prepared, breaded, and fried right in front of us, a worker was wiping down glass display fronts as well as table and counter tops. The cashier who took our order was the most pleasant lady. All of these things are great but not why I came...I wanted good food and I was not disappointed. My fried shrimp was amazing; perfectly seasoned and cooked - no rubbery shrimp. The sauces were to-die-for. My wife's grilled shrimp was just as good. We will be back. Thank you for a great meal.“

“First time trying and I enjoyed it. Had the rib plate that comes with two sides, I chose the coleslaw and Mac n cheese, garlic bread and a couple of pickle slices with onion. The Mac was not your traditional type. Instead of cheddary it was Parmesan with a hint of what I believe was dill. It was good but different so just consider that. The coleslaw was didn't have a lot of flavor. Wasn't gross or anything but I just assume eat KFC slaw. The ribs were really good. Juicy and tender. They put sauce on the side, so I was a little mixed on my feeling about that but the ribs were so good they really dont need any sauce. Probably works better for the other meats. The negatives were that parking is not very accessible. But all of downtown Gainesville is like that, so not much can be done. If you're lucky you can get a spot in front on the side of the street. They could use two improvements though. A couple of more side item additions and a two or three meat combo platter. I believe this is the only BBQ place I've been to that doesn't. They could add one and easily charge up for the single meats were not crazy priced. I will eat there again if in the area. The place is also bigger on the inside than it looks from outside.“

“We ate about 2pm. I had a grouper fingers basket and it was fresh and delicious. The fries had a light seasoning and were excellent as well. A couple in our group had fried shrimp. They were lightly battered and looked good. In fact, one of the guys said they were so good that he refused to try anything new.Our waitress was very pleasant and competent.Now the big question. Will I eat at Costal again? The answer is definitely. Can’t wait to take my wife.“

“I have mixed reviews. Here’s why: The Oar Restaurant itself at Lake Lanier was not the problem, because I do NOT feel like we were treated any differently nor faced any discrimination. As a military wife, I have traveled across countries and I am no stranger to communication and different cultures. Why? Because I see the whole person first and not their skin color. Anyhow, I will not ever be returning to Lake Lanier after research & being educated about how this Lake evolved. I am embarrassed to say this after the fact. I went and I saw. I brought an uplifting spirit, because I was oblivious. But now -I am left with a heavy heart and a grieving spirit for everyone.“

When they say they are butterflied, don't go on the assumption that they will be thin. Because you would be so wrong. And they were cooked to perfection!“

Once we ordered our food, it came out fairly quick (was so hot & fresh). My fish tacos were so good, but the frozen lava flow topped it all. It was delicious!! It's a little pricey (expected). “The food was decent, just like any other red lobster that I've been too, as well as the atmosphere, but the service? The service was phenomenal, Our server was Kira, she was very patient, energetic, and the one of the friendliest souls, that my family's encountered! My daughter was a huge fan, Kira was so sweet with her and made us feel very welcomed! She even let my daughter keep the pen she had, because she thought it was cute! “Great spot on Lake Lanier with comfy outdoor seating!! Food is delish and staff is friendly, overall a great spot!! Had Sunday Brunch buffet which was a great deal (although some of the food was cold as the buffet is served outside; a warming system of some sort would be helpful). Will be back!!!“
