“This was my first trip to Savannah. Always look for the “best of” and indeed this spot lived up to the hype. The house made sour dough with habanero butter was devine. I started with the granita oysters which were so tasty, perfect balance. For my entree had the lamb sausage which was the best of all. Highly recommend 1540 and Trish who was helpful, on point, and really made the southern hospitality shine through.“

What I don't understand is what's happening recently in Savannah with places closing early, or not offering full service like the rooftops or other areas on beautiful days and evenings. We arrived early an hour early to r 8pm reservation, looking forward to sitting rooftop, having some drinks/apps, and watching the sunset before dinner, but the rooftop was closed and not for a private party, just closed. And this isn't the first time. Love you local and will always recommend but we need our non tourist attractions to offer rooftops as well. ?“

Good taste and served with a tomato based dirty rice. My wife had the Low Country boil. Really enjoyed it. She started with Rockefeller oysters. We've had better but they were still good. Check them out and decide for yourself.“

Reasonably priced especially if you come during lunchtime where lunch dishes are cheaper compared to regular dinner prices.“

“Let me start off by saying that when I called David's Crab House, I spoke with the owner. He's a veteran, so it was an extra level of respect for him. I'm also a veteran, so that is a bond right of the back.I have a friend who is from the area but lives in NY, where I also live, but she always brings me David's Crabs when she comes home.Driving from visiting grandkids in Tallahassee, Florida to SC, I had to stop in Savannah GA. At David's Crabs ? The service was prompt and friendly. The presentation of the food was well done. However, my Pork Chop was a tad bit gristly. The blackened tuna was very blackened, which I like, but not my friend. Overall nice/great. Atmosphere was perfect. One thing - the noise was horribly loud when the place was full. “For a close to the airport restaurant it was a really nice place. It was crowded at the bar when I arrived on a PGA Saturday evening . As a solo traveler I just wanted to sit at the bar and have a beer while I waited for my to go order to take back to the hotel. The bartenders were very nice and attentive and there was a good mix of regulars and travelers which means the food must be good, not just a convenience. Would definitely come here again if I ever find myself staying close to the Savannah airport before an early flight home the next day.“

The pictures looked like it might be it, but sadly this ain't that, and that's ok. I still enjoyed it.I got the spicy shrimp with cajun & garlic seasoning but I did not see a single piece of minced garlic, and I was hoping it would be smothered. It is not! I did not feel any spice to the "hot" and that was the most disappointing part. I am used to being a snotty, buttery mess but I was ok.
