“When you first look at the menu you're probably thinking to yourself "Is this a Mexican restaurant or is this a pizza joint or is this a wing restaurant?" And the answer is "Yes."Don't let the menu intimidate or confuse you. While I haven't had a chance to try the pizza yet, I can say for certain that the wings (the jalapeno mango sauce is a nice balance of a little spice and a little sweet) and the Mexican fare absolutely slaps. I think they accidentally left the flour tortillas out of my order (the Molcajete), but honestly the food was so good and plentiful that I didn't even care.I'm coming for you next, fajita pizza!“
“First Latin food (though it more like an El Salvadoran) spot; and I can’t wait to go back again.Pictured:1. Cebiche with white fish, reasonably priced, fresh, citrusy, and about the kinda fresh of a fish you could get in a landlocked area like Chattanooga. The chips were more than enough, I recommend ordering this to share, I shared it with my alter ego, she loved it; she doesn’t really know too much about fish, unless it’s bad; then she knows.2. Their classic pupusa, with cheese, beans, and pulled pork. This is the El Salvador dish, and it shows. Possibly one of the best pupusas I’ve ever had; I can’t wait to try all the other types they have. They usually come in orders of two, I got only one; did not share with alter ego; she getting kinda phat.Alter ego loved the mango salsa and thought the habanero wasn’t that spicy. Her name is Shego btw, because wherever I go, Shego.Overall:Food: 4.7/5Price: 4.9/5Support, eat, and ask for the Mango salsa.“
“Ordered the flautas with beans/rice. The deep fried tortilla shells were the highlight. They were super hot and had a nice crunchy texture. One can actually taste the shell because they were fried in fresh oil. The chicken was tender and not over seasoned. Everything tasted fresh. Will be back with a friend next time.“
“Title: A Taste of Authenticity at Taxqueño RestaurantNestled in the heart of the city, Taxqueño Restaurant offers an unparalleled culinary experience. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you to the streets of Taxco, Mexico. The menu boasts a tantalizing array of dishes, each bursting with flavor and authenticity. The food is not only delicious but also incredibly fresh, with ingredients sourced daily. Whether you're indulging in their signature tacos al pastor or savoring their homemade salsas, every bite is a testament to their commitment to quality. The attentive staff ensures that every aspect of your dining experience is impeccable. With its warm atmosphere and mouthwatering cuisine, Taxqueño Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Mexican fare.“
“The food was so incredibly good! We are from Southern California and this was by far the BEST Mexican food we have had EVER!I got the burrito off dinner with carnitas for the meat. It was so tender and full of flavor. My husband got stuffed poblano pepper and he said it was the best he ever had.I only took one off for service as our server was a more interested in talking to bartender than checking on us.Very off the beaten path but so worth it.“
“Dinner here was absolutely amazing! Their chips and salsa were exceptional as was the guacamole we ordered. Very large serving on the small dip. Our drinks were delicious and strong. The entrees were perfect, definitely much better than your average Mexican restaurant. Service couldn't have been better throughout our visit. Will definitely be back!“
“Hands down one of my favorite lunch stops in town. If you’re looking for fresh, authentic, delicious food. This is it. Tacos, tamales, Tortas, horchata, enchiladas. They have it all. I usually 2-3 or maybe 6 tacos and a tamale or two. Never had a bad experience with my food or with the staff. I’ve eaten here probably about 15-20 times since 2021 and it is always good. They used to take cards. However last few times I’ve gone it’s cash only. So bring some cash. You can feed two people for about $20.“
“One word. Consistent. They don't have "off" days. As someone noted, it's not ever fancy, but it is ALWAYS good. My family has been going here for years. Same people always working so that should tell you something. I'd go just for the salsa.“
“Best Chicken Taco Salad ever! I have had a lot of Mexican food in a lot of States, this was the best Taco salad, nicely grilled chicken and caramelized onions and peppers and great topping. Their salsa may not be the best I ever had, but my other two friends had wonderful large and delicious meals as well. Going back with our spouses!“
“Amazing and authentic! Chips were warm, fajitas were perfectly cooked, tortillas were fresh. The artwork both inside and outside is phenomenal. All the walls are beautifully handpainted. If we lived in this area, Los Potros would be a regular stop!“
“This is our second time my boyfriend and I have went.We always opt for anything fajita wise. The fajita chimichanga is so good! Also, love the jumbo margs that are 2 for 6 during happy hour. Just wish the servers checked on you more often. If it’s was busy, I would understand but it wasn’t for the past two times we have went.“
“The place is named bollywood taco bar but there is nothing bollywood about the ambience. The food is really good and the paneer chilly tacos has my heart also because they make the paneer in house which is rare. We tried the falafel which was ok. The bombay chicken and the chicken shawarma were really good. The service was a little confusing on how many tacos do we get but overall if they could amp up the ambience to make it more bollywood, it will be so good.“
“This place is expensive i ordered 2 carne asada burritos and 2 drinks 44.00 dollars i was like wow, I come from California and I travel for work and let me say these where expensive and the taste was bland.I always try small places to see what I find.I will not return to this place at all I can get better food in Chicago for cheaper.Be prepare to pay.“
“Go see Reuben and the gang! Since he bought the restaurant he has made some awesome upgrades to the deck, the menu, and the atmosphere. The deck is accessible, there's music and karaoke, and the food is great!Wheelchair accessibility: Both sides of the deck are now accessible.“
“First time there. It's a very small Mexican market with a built-in mini restaurant. Not a place for a date of fancy romantic dinner, just quick awesome food. I tried the Pastor and Barbacoa Tacos with a mildly spicy sauce....they were very very good. $2.75 per Taco. They sell beers from Mexico and Guatemala. I highly recommend them for a quick lunch or dinner. The whole menu looked fantastic. This is REAL Mexican stuff, not what you find in most places around here.“
“Iv eaten here more than a few times, as my job has me in the area from time to time. Never had any issues with my order, food is always good, service is quick, get seated soon as you walk in, servers are always on point. Salsa is great! My daughter loves it also. She said it deserves 5 stars, and I tend to agree. So, I do recommend Los Potros.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.“
“STOP HERE! We spend the night in a nearby Tru by Hilton Hotel. Googled restaurants and decided on Taco Roc. We made the right choice. Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food served by helpful, friendly staff, fast. Eat in or to go. Alcohol available.“
“Visiting the area and in search of some bomb authentic Mexican tacos, me and my partner stumbled upon this place and was a bit scared since we’re not from around here, turned out to be some great amazing tacos…no solo venían con cilantro y cebolla pero con rábano y pepino al lado! Las salsas estaban bien sabrosas y la agua de piña estaba riquísima! Oh and they also played nothing but mexican music, so the restaurant was just great all around.“
“This restaurant is very busy but the service is fast. Our server was so pleasant, always ready to help. The food was delicious, and the restaurant had a great ambiance. It's very simple but pretty inside. Also very clean. The price was great. Portions were very good.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian offers in the menu.Parking: Large parking lot. Well lit.Kid-friendliness: Menu options for children. High chairs available.“
“After seeing so many good reviews I decided to give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience compared to that of the majority of Mexican restaurants I’ve been to.I was greeted quickly and in a friendly manner. The restaurant was very clean including the menus that were just wiped down. The staff that I saw walking around seemed happy to be working here which was a breath of fresh air. Finally, the food was delivered quickly, was the perfect temperature, had plenty of sauce and tasted great. When I’m back in this area I’ll make it a point to return.“
“Birria tacos + chips & salsa = everything you neeeed. My husband and I came here for the $3 taco deals on Rossville Blvd to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. This restaurant is at the back of a store, but it's a full restaurant with seating and everything. Since we were sampling a bunch of different places, we just got birria tacos. We didn't realize they would also have free chips & salsa, which was really tasty! But the real star of the show was the tacos - sooo cheesy, so good, so delicious. It did take a good 15 minutes for the tacos to come out, but it was worth the wait.Service could have been friendlier, but we were just happy with our tacos.“
“The food at either location is always delicious. They have great street tacos and a variety of meat choices. The service is always prompt and attentive. I highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly restaurant.Parking: The parking lot is easy to navigate and parking is free.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is very wheel chair accessible and has a separate handicap accessible bathroom“
“Great service and food. It's a large restaurant and they are very friendly. Portions are large. Margaritas are excellent and the happy hour price is unbelievable. We are moving to Chattanooga soon and this place is at the top of our list for happy hour and Mexican food.“
“I ordered the to go $10.99 two tacos and a side online take out. Very good value! You can't judge the taste by the ingredients if you've never had them because my tacos were Delicious! Brisket, cabbage, all kinds of delicious- ness in my mouth that I would not have thought to put on a taco! The Mexican corn though was very bland otherwise it would have been a 5! The tacos were WOW! Super enjoyable!!!“
“Do yourself a favor and try this place. I was visiting a relative at Parkridge hospital and wanted some lunch; I couldn't do hospital food. Called in the order and it was ready in 10 mins. The ingredients are good and the food is very flavorful. I'm pescatarian and so there are many seafood and veggie options. Pro-tip: Order a Shrimp only Ranchito burrito. Not on the menu Delicious ?“
“The waiters and the servers are amazing. And their food is awesome and they also serve some killer mixed drinks they are off the chainParking: There is well enough places to park.Kid-friendliness: And yes they are amazing with the kids there as wellWheelchair accessibility: It has very easy wheelchair access“
“This is truly a hidden Gem!!! Was hungry and in the area. Found this place when looking for a quick bite. When I entered the restaurant I was at first a bit confused, They have a few tables you can sit down to eat, but there wasn’t a counter or anything to order at. So I just stood there, waiting for someone to notice the 6” gringo standing in the middle of the room. Only took about 15 seconds for a very sweet woman to approach me and ask me what I wanted. My Spanish is limited and I understand more than I can speak but not by much. She asked what I’d like to order and reference the menu on the wall. I ordered 6 tacos. She confirmed my order and that it was for to-go and walked away. 5-10 mins later came out with my food. While I was sitting waiting I did see they scored a 99 on their health inspection!!! Way to go crew. Food was delicious. I ordered 2 Barbados, 2 asada, and 2 lingua (tongue) Tacos. They were served with just onion and cilantro and some lime wedges, also came with some homemade verde salsa. Salsa was extremely flavorful with some heat, but wasn’t overly spicy at all. Tortillas were fresh and delicious. All the meats were moist and delicious. Nothing seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp waiting on me. Made fresh to order. I’m always on the lookout for great taco shops. And this one I will 100% be back to!! Highly recommend this place. Don’t let the looks fool you. This place is cranking out some delicious authentic food!!!“
“Super fun Atmosphere. Great food. Some fun twist in some of cuisine.Really fun cocktails and service is great. I think this place can get over looked because of some of the classics in Chattanooga for tex mex. And Mexican style.Don't get me wrong if you want real authentic or as close as you can get in the greater Chattanooga area, try tacos el lots of one of the loas .However, for a great sit down tex mex place , this is growing to be a favorite.“
“Very very nice place to go with the family or friends or just by yourself. The drinks are very good I would highly recommend it the service was very good nice and very friendly I will be definitely going back for more drinks. If you never been then you definitely should try it out you will not be disappointed at all top notch restaurant I recommend to all from all ages go there and enjoy the price is very good as well.“
“The food was great, just wasn't prepared that it was a take-out joint. Had to leave and go to another business to use restroom and am not fond of so many downtown establishments using so much Styrofoam. A real plate would have been nice since I did eat in their teeny tiny dining room. If you are just taking out, it's great.Parking: Parking is tough to find during lunch time.“
“Excellent service and excellent food. Just delicious. My hubby ordered steak fajitas n it is very tasty. I ordered Arroz Marisco n wonderfullly delicious. And the street tacos n cheese quesadilla is great too. And my son ordered chilaquiles n he loved it. We will be back“
“This used to be a par place, since they became el agave they have stepped it up.the biggest difference is in the cooking. I have tried out the menu and there some things that are way good.keep this under your hat, I personally don’t want this place getting extra busy, but it is good.“
“So yummy! We had their food truck for an event (super easy process!) and the whole fam loved their food. We had a taco combo and 3 quesadillas with different fillings - All delicious. And the hot sauces. Do. Not. Sleep. On those hot sauces.“
“Amazing food they serve the best Birria tacos I have ever had! Everything is fresh and delicious. The meat is grilled and smoked fresh out front, even the tortillas are crispy and perfectly made. The sauces and salsas are fresh and vibrant. The owner and everybody were really friendly and helped us pick what to order. I even got a nice refreshing pina colada to go with the meal. Make sure to stop here if you're looking for the best Authentic Mexican Food in town, maybe even the state!“
“So I was at Sabor Catracho on Friday the 27th, and my mom and I were getting food for my dad, and so we started to order. I ordered a Baliada con Pollo and 4 Baliadas for my siblings, and it was literally to die for . Also me ,and my mom and I got horchata a type of Honduran drink ,and my dad got Tamarindo a type of Mexican drink if I am correct, but when me and my mom got in the car I took the biggest sip of my drink and I went "oh MAN THAT IS TO DIE FOR " my mom said the same thing as well . GOT TO SABOR CATRACHO ITS TO DIE ?FOR“
“I went in to order take out, the place was very clean, the service was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back!Parking: They have plenty of parking spaces when you arrive.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking at the front door as you head inside for a delicious meal.“
“This is a relatively new restaurant with a great bloodline locally. It is another case where I wish we could award half stars as it deserves a 4.5. What they're doing is fusing bbq and Mexican, with outstanding results. It's a very limited menu, with a dose of a tapas approach. Listen to your server, ours was great, they'll walk you through the proper approach to maximize your eating enjoyment. The menu is turned from what I understand on a monthly basis, they take sort of farm to table approach on their ingredients, thus driving the need for ongoing menu changes. It's a great idea, there will always be something fresh and new on the menu, so the limited menu makes sense. We had the oysters Al Ajillo, to start ....it had a mole sauce, who knew, I could make a meal of them. We followed this with a collard green slaw (yes slaw) and the porchetta. They're using the smoking process to an art form, and the options they offer are so very atypical. Great combinations, great food. Love the open kitchen, the outside seating, and the overall feel of the place. We'll be back, and soon, This strikes me as a place that could work its' way up to that 5th star.“
“This is the best Mexican food I've ever had, from here to Texas. Everything is so fresh and full of unique flavor. Their chips and salsa are one of a kind. This is not your average Mexican Restaurant. I suggest the Birria, Street Tacos, or Mexican Tacos, but whatever you choose, you will love. I tried something new today (steak Taco Salad) & it was phenomenal! The Salsa Diablo is a great addition to any meal if you're into spicy food. I order here religiously through DoorDash, Call-In, and In-Restaurant. This place will forever be THE BEST!!!“
“This is high-end authentic. The choices and out of the box options as well as traditional items were great to see. I loved my meal of a seafood tostada. It was so yummy. I also had the bacon wrapped grilled jalapeño appetizer. It was perfectly paired with some guacamole.I will definitely be coming back.“
“The tacos were authentic, the lady taking my order was very nice and made sure my food was correct and the atmosphere is like the little corner store in Mexico which was really comforting to see.Theres not really a place to sit down and eat and there’s no marked parking spots but it is placed right next to an old gas station that’s abandoned so there’s a lot of parking“
“cute little place that had very friendly staff and delicious Mexican food! I had a chicken quesadilla which was yummy, and my husband got the tingas burrito which he quite enjoyed as well. I got a side of guacamole and chips and the guac was also excellent, which is usually not the case at most restaurants. the chips however were not great, being slightly stale and without much flavor. they needed salt badly.it's not table service, being more of a cafeteria-style ordering/serving line and then self-seating, but for a quick, delicious lunch I highly recommend Dos Bros.“
“I highly recommend the Gordita with Al Pastor choice of meat! This definitely seems to be more on the side of authentic Mexican food - take that with a grain of salt, I've only visited Mexico once. That being said, we quite enjoyed our meal. The tacos are served with a meat of your choice, onion, and cilantro and are delicious (the chicken on one taco was a tad dry, but otherwise fine). Lastly, our server was nice and helpful with questions we had about the menu. Give this place a try!“
“Take out served out of an old school bus in an industrial area. I had the asada, al pastor, and lengua tacos. They came with onions & cilantro and 2 types of salsa on what appeared to be handmade corn tortillas. Legit some of the best tacos I've had in a long time.“
“After receiving no service from a different restaurant next to Tacomac and leaving, it was amazing to enter a restaurant that was inviting and engaging. The food was very good. The drinks as well our server and the host made our night competly turn around from the other restaurant that never came around to even great us. Thanks Tacomac you were super busy that night but still were able to provide great service!“
“Far and Away my favorite place to go on the weekends Taylor is the bartender always very attentive fantastic attitude and is a fast friend. Without question the food is always correct even when there's a slip up there's no hesitation to make accommodations as needed. I love my tequila and when it comes to mixed drinks hers do not disappoint with respect to the food Tex-Mex is hard to screw up but they have options for every pallet and spice level everything is always delicious and on the rare occasion that something happens they're very quick to remedy the situation in accommodate accordingly I would hesitate to say that any place is perfect but my experience is here have always been exactly that whether you need to pick me up or a place to calm down and relax or just a place to watch the football game I can't say enough great things about not only the staff but also the food and beverages here no I don't work for the company I just screw up in Central Texas eating their food and even though this is in Tennessee It Feels Like Home.“
“Very convenient and all the staff is very nice. On recommendation from a salt lover...go a little easier on the salt in the ground beef. It is even too salty for me.Parking: You have to scan the QR code and give them the license plate number.“
“This is an authentic restaurant. The food was great and the service was friendly. One of four in our group was not happy with his portion size, but my order was huge.Kid-friendliness: It seems family friendly. They have a kids portion of the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: I did not see a ramp and there is a large step.“
“Oh my gosh! This burrito was literally so good! I was just passing through to head to Florida and we wanted burritos so we decided to give this place a try and I’m glad we did, the burrito was so big and heavy you could probably throw it at someone and knock them unconscious. Haha Indiana doesn’t have anything like this place which is sad!“
“The food is pretty good The people are really nice the service is quick and it's pretty cool inside. Reminds me of some of the restaurants I hate in when way down in Mexico close to Guaymas and San Carlos. Not your typical Tex-Mex food more authentic Mexican taste.“
