“The mondoo being sold is very good. It's the first time I've had chicken mondoo. It is tasty and probably a little healthier for you. The ladies making the mondoo are very friendly and courteous. The pricing is reasonable. Due to COVID protocols, you order your mondoo at the entrance way. All transactions are done at the door which is fine as they are very efficient in processing your order. “Vons chicken in Hawaii Kai is so convenient and it was easy to place a phone order and pickup. We ended up getting a half order of seasoned fried chicken. It was the right amount for two. I just wish they'd throw in some radish pickles. We totally forgot to order because at other Korean fried chicken places the pickled radish is standard. Seasoned fried chicken (spicy) is a solid 4/5. It was hot, had light crispy breading, and spicy sauce. The chicken was definitely fried to order and still hot by the time we started to eat. I'm glad we got the spicy because it was spot on. We were sweating slightly and the burn was just right. For the price ($19.88) I thought a half order was a decent deal and my fried chicken craving was satisfied. Service was efficient and friendly. I love that Vons is no frills and getting my chicken was no hassle. Do yourself a favor and call in your order as it can take 15-20 minutes to fry the chicken. I'm sure we'll be back. While there is ample parking the spaces close to Vons was sparse. No biggie, and at least it's free. Ambiance is rustic, in a Hawaiian sense, and very casual. Ordered the set for 2 along with a side order pork belly and intestines, comes with refillable banchan sides and either kimchee or miso soups. Meat jun was also tender and had just the right amount of egg coating. Vegetables were good as well as the Mac salad. Parking can get a bit busy so what I do is I park on the second level at the far end of the parking lot which is at the ocean or Waikiki side. Take the elevator down to the ground level and YoonCY is just to the right.“

They have a few metered spots out front and street parking. Just be mindful of the tow zone times in the area. If you make a phone order, some park right in front of their store. However, don't park there too long.... The spot in front of their store is a no parking zone. SERVICE: They are always so nice and prompt whenever I visit here. “The food was really delicious, but the big downside was that there was a very long waiting time. The person in front of me asked if I had ever been here before, and he started talking by saying that it was his first time here. He said that he had been waiting for over 20 minutes and it seemed like it was taking too long. If he had known, he would have gone to that Chinese restaurant over there and started talking. Then I asked the person next to me if he had ever been to this place, and he said it was delicious. Then, as more time passed, I looked inside to see why it was taking so long, and I guess they were making fresh meat and cooking it. They put side dishes and rice from the front and delivered it to the back. The person in charge of meat waited for a while, received the seasoned meat, and started cooking it. It felt like I was doing it. Meanwhile, other customers were coming and loitering in front of the ordering counter, and the lady who was taking the side dishes was doing nothing, but since the customers had been waiting for a long time, she told them to wait a moment and called a middle-aged woman who seemed to be the owner. I don't know if he went into the kitchen to help with the cooking, but it's also true that the counter is empty for a long time... .. Or, if the person next to him saw Shun about to order, he would at least tell him to wait, or he would just sit there and watch, and there would be 4-6 people waiting in line, and a few of them would go to another restaurant. “Meat Jun at Tasty bbq is delicious. Ample portions and they also have delightful side dishes. So many choices outside the normal 5 or 6 that so normally see in most restaurants. We are also huge fans of the Spicy and regular bbq pork, and Kalbi. The service is great, they are attentive to helping you choose your sides and give very generous portions of those as well. My go to's are the zucchini jun, choi sum, cucumber kim chee and Taegu when they have it, otherwise double up on the zucchini it's wonderful. There is seating available and the restaurant is clean and well lit. Take out orders are ready when promised and in my case, a regular plate is dinner and tomorrow's lunch. Been a patron here for about 10 years or so and in my opinion, best Korean take out on the windward side.“
