“This food truck is the best place for poké on Kauai! Charming relaxed atmosphere, DELICIOUS food at affordable prices, all next to an open building with great shops. Corn hole game for the kiddos set up near the covered seating area. All 8 in our group agreed that this was the place to eat! Visited 2-3 times during our stay. Highly recommend!”

“We ate at La Spezia twice in September 2024 and absolutely loved it! A couple of us had the fettuccine calabrese, which was delicious and huge – enough for two meals. We also tried vongole e gamberetti, spaghetti arrabbiata, short rib ravioli, and veal scallopini. We also took desserts to go—tiramisu, cheesecake, and panna cotta. All were very good. Every dish gets a thumbs up! Probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. And the service was top-notch. Considering the quality, priced are reasonable. If I’m ever back in Kauai I’ll eat there again. Tip: Make a reservation if you want to get it. It’s not a large place.”

“Looking for an ice cream treat near Poipu? You’ll find it in Koloa at Koloa Mill Ice Cream and Coffee. They offer about 30 flavors of which “Banana Mac” was my favorite. So much so I had it three days in a row!! They also have Shave Ice, pastries and coffee. The servings are reasonably priced, generous and the service friendly!! We highly recommend a visit and while there you can visit the other quaint shops.”

“We were in town from KC during the superbowl and wanted some bbq for the game. We are a bit picky and spoiled with bbq but D's hit the spot! We had ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, and brisket. Good portion sizes and great taste! All of the meat was the perfect level of tender without falling apart and had great flavor. The medium sauce was sooo good! A slow heat with a lot of flavor! Thank you D's for great food and friendly service! Don't hesitate and go get some delicious bbq in your life!”

“Was apprehensive of trying this place after reading a few reviews, but I'm glad we gave this place a shot. Their core ramen offerings were extremely strong. The broth is infused with sesame oil, which I thought was a nice local touch.

My wife ordered the katsudon donburi, and we found the egg slightly too salty. I blame her for ordering donburi at a ramen restaurant though.”

“We went to the breakfast buffet with a group of friends. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exemplary. The view from the restaurant was also entertaining- the geese were feeding the koi in the fishpond outside by dropping some of their food in the water! All in all, an excellent morning.

Vegetarian options: Breakfast buffet had plenty of vegetarian options. Not as many vegan options.

Dietary restrictions: Allergens listed on all dishes at the buffet, plenty of options to choose from so everyone should be able to find good things to eat.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator next to the stairs that can take you down to the restaurant level.”

“Wow!!!Admittedly, these are the first tacos I’ve had on Kauai but they are so so good. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and the blackened fish tacos. The fish is generously portioned and both were yummy. The blackened fish tacos were a flavor bomb and if I have time to go back, I will order all blackened fish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Total for my four tacos was $29 which seems fair for two meals and cheaper than any other meal I’ve had here. 10/10”

“Been here and Captain Bar (same menu) a few times now since we arrived at the resort 3 days ago. People at the bar are way more on top of it. The women working the register at Hale Nalu forgot our drinks, got one of our drinks wrong, and then said they’d make an “exception” for giving us sour cream with our quesadilla (even though it was served with our entree the day before and not a side that costs extra). Pretty frustrating experience when you’re paying about $80 for two meals and two drinks. My husband and I will just go to the bar here on out.”

“I can't do seafood but I had asked if possible to get a grilled cheese while my husband enjoyed the food there. They were amazing about it and the manager at Stevenson's was very accommodating and so was the manger at the tide pools. Needless to say they got me a great grilled cheese! “This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). There are 2 locations on the island”

“We visited the Hono Bar three times as we stayed in the area for 12 days. We did not stay at the Marriott, but we were welcomed there every night. We watched the sunsets there, had some drinks and dinner one of the nights. We sat at the bar and we're entertained by some friendly bartenders, and excellent drinks (Mai Tai was awesome). We got hit with a short rain shower and they just dropped a couple curtains to keep us dry. Great fun!”

The vibe here is laid-back with a quirky charm that really adds to the experience. From the cool signage to the straightforward menu, it’s clear they focus on keeping it simple and doing it well. Sometimes that’s all you need. For a solid burger, great fries, and a fun atmosphere, Bubba’s Burgers definitely deserves four stars.”

Jason, our server, was awesome -very hospitable and attentive! He made sure to play the NFL games at our request and the food was irresistibly delicious! Their happy hour was outta this world! $6 fishbowl margaritas, 25 cent wings…need I say more? A MUST visit! Thank you for such a great time!!!”

“Food is still good however the service now sucks. if your eating and want something else or another drink. whoever is serving you will not get it you are told that you must go back up to the cashier and order it there. what kind of crap is that. when told that I replied that "Then no need to tip you right" ? got a dirty look for that one, I'm just saying what's the purpose of having a waiter/waitress that won't get anything may as well go to the Crack. glad the one in Kalaheo isn't like poipu !!”

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!”
