“I like coming to this place to get gelato. But I feel that if you are not a tourist or if you are not visiting once a week or more, I don't get it knowledge I don't feel welcome. Gelato always tastes good, and I like it because there are exotic local fruitation flavors to choose from, like passion orange guava and lilikoi. This place is very clean and they have a waste basket so you don't have to throw your opala outside. So I'm giving this place a four star because I really like it. I really love the flavors. I didn't give them the five stars because of service to the locals.“
“Our family got off a cruise ship and went to Paia beach. We walked up the street and ran into artisan ice cream. We didn’t expect to buy anything, but the smell of their fresh baked cookies were amazing. We bought one cookie and shared it, then ended up buying 4 more. Family absolutely loved them. Thanks for a fun experience!!“
“Please be aware that this amazing Hawaiian shave ice shop is now a franchise. This means that there may be differences in quality of the item and services at different locations. This location here is AMAZING. We all know this brand for having syrups that are not overly sweet and accurately reflective of the actual flavor it is trying to capture. This place ensures that your shave ice is saturated with the syrup. Staff make us aware and there are signage that highlight the willingness to refill your syrup if need be. We received a completely different experience at the Kahului location where we were rushed to order our items and were given shave ice bowls where the entire center was just ice. Go here if you can and avoid the other location in the area.“
“Wow did we miss this shaved ice place. This brand is our absolute favorite and we always look forward to it when we are in Maui. Typically we used to visit their Lahaina location but we now visited this location. We were able to stop by twice during our visit and neither time did they disappoint. The flavors are top notch. The ice is top notch, the service of the associates and their ability to make the shaved ice quickly is all top notch. They have a single picnic table so there is limited space to sit but people don't mind as only a few people sit. It was all around a great experience.“
“My wallet hurt looking at the prices but my kiddos wanted ice cream. The coffee ice cream was delicious! My son enjoyed his cookies and cream. The feral chickens will entertain you while you enjoy your delicious frozen treats. If they're not open, they have a vending machine outside.Employees were friendly and welcoming.“
“This is a must when I visit my family in Maui. In November they were closed but I was able to get my fill on Friday. Cash Only, Be prepared to take cash. Prices went up but still a reasonable cost. 3 scoops for about $3.50. Family owned business and the service is always so nice. Be prepared to stand in line by family outside. Which is good for a small business.“
“Friendly staff, greeting you with warm Aloha and smiles, whether you Local or not. Sweet quotes and sayings framed around this little country restaurant. And local music playing in the background, is just a nice addition to start your Sunday morning ?Local breakfast menu and salads, delicious and generous portions. It's wonderful to see even saimin on the menu, which I'll try next time. They have plate lunches and sandwiches. They have every kine of item to satisfy your opu (tummy).Thank you Ohana Grindz. Visit you again ?“
“Must-stop for this amazing coconut DF ice cream! We stayed in an Airbnb really close to this place and consequently got ice cream for 3 days in a row- it's that good. We tried all the flavors and I loved the Love Potion (mostly chocolate with some other flavors like rose and cinnamon) and the lilikoi (passion fruit)- all very refreshing! They also have other treats, but we stuck with the ice cream. Yes it's $8 for a small bowl with 2 flavors- but so worth it. My husband said "take my money" haha. And the staff were so friendly! Wish we could get it on the mainland. Will be dreaming about this ice cream!“
“Such a cute ice cream spot for your little ones or a hot day. Come on down and have some fun. Lots of flavors to choose from and a really nice and friendly owner! You can also host your birthday party here! Inquire within for more information. A special whole in the wall that everyone needs to come and see. Owner is really nice and funny especially he's good with kids! Support a local family business!“
“Best shave ice ever! Although technically it was fruit shave, not shave ice. Had the guava mango pineapple with coconut cream and OMG! Yum!! Went back the following evening and had the strawberry and coconut cream, which was also delicious but I’m looking forward to having the GMP again tonight.“
“We stopped in during one of the cruise stops. We didn't get a chance to get some in Oahu. We expected not to have a great experience with the shave ice in Maui because everyone recommended places in Oahu. Boy were we pleasantly surprised!! I had the coconut flavored shave ice and it was AMAZING!! It was so good I ate it and forgot to take a picture. They were generous with the condensed milk. The large portion can be shared with 2-3 people. I highly recommend it.“
“On an exclamation point to my 6 hour stint on Maui on September 16, my friend and I came here to kill time at the Maui Mall. Then I saw Baskin Robbins.Definitely a good thing to have ice cream on your birthday, even if it's the day before your actual birthday. Any day is great for ice cream, to be honest. With that said, we came to this Baskin Robbins ice cream store in beautiful Kahului, Maui. There was no line here, except for one person and their daughter that was ahead of us. But they allowed us to cut in front of them because they did not know what they wanted anyway. After looking at the various flavors of ice cream, that Baskin and Robbins had to offer, I knew what I wanted, which was the plain chocolate. Definitely was the highlight, or at least one of it during my short, stay on Maui. That experience here was pretty quick, spending only about 10 minutes, because I knew what I wanted. For the most part, though, ice cream is awesome and I was happy enough to have access to one nearby after and amazing epic lunch at Mama's Fish House in Paia. I ordered a pint of the basic chocolate ice cream, which I ended up eating at the airport before heading to TSA. The service here was typical and friendly. I'm glad that I got a chance to have a pint of ice cream here at Baskin-Robbins because I would have probably gotten nuts if I didn't have any ice cream on my birthday. Thankful that I got a chance to have that satisfaction on my birthday here on Maui. well, there are probably numerous Places on the island to get your ice cream treat, Baskin Robbins is a favorite brand that sells ice cream by the gallon. If you're in the area and enjoy ice cream as much as I do, consider Baskin Robbins at your go to specialty ice cream shop. Definitely a place to stop while you're on Maui, coming in or going out.The overall experience here at this Baskin Robbins location in the Maui Mall in Kahului, Maui was very nice, casual, and unexpected, because my friend push me away when I decided to pay for my ice cream and she pulled out $10 bill and paid the cashier. Hence, the unexpected part. I know it was part of my birthday but it really caught me off guard. The prices here are on point with other ice cream parlors, national chain or otherwise. you can get a pint of ice cream for around $10, which is probably more of value than getting a double scoop around $7. You pay more but you get more, obviously. The restaurant itself was very clean and very nice. It was also kind of small, but there was a lot of space to move and meander around. They do have a couple of tables for customers to sit and eat. Baskin and Robbins is a feel good place that families and individuals love to go to. Who doesn't like ice cream? One day I would want to try them all, but who could say no to chocolate. It is quite awesome to begin with, and so, if you're in the area and need that Sugar Fix, come to Baskin-Robbins. They'll hook you up.This Baskin and Robbins location is located in Kahului Maui. They are located at the Maui Mall. Its physical address is 70 E Kaahumanu Avenue. The Queen Kaahumanu Center is nearby. They except major, credit cards, as well as cash. As far as packing goes, you'll have plenty of parking here since you're at the Maui Mall. There's parking for you. If you are like me, you can get here via the Maui bus system. Since the Mally Mall is centrally, located from the airport in all points Inn, Kahului or Wailuku, you can get here with relative ease. Just Google maps or ask the driver on which bus you intend on going. I think it's basically either the Kahului Loop or the reverse loop, but I cannot be too sure on that. For whatever reason that life gives you and you need ice cream, consider Baskin and Robbins here in Kahului. He just me and the best thing ever for a trying day. Or just because they awesome and you need something awesome to have on a quintessential trip to Maui. My top favorite would the straight chocolate, although there are various forms of chocolate that would be deeme“
“What a gem of a place! All natural ingredients grabbed our attention to experience a healthier shaved ice for our Hawaii vacation. The chill vibe kept us there. Thomas was awesome, super down to earth, and great to chat with. Make sure to splurge for the ice cream with macadamia nuts on the bottom of your shaved ice — it was mind blowing!“
