“I went to Paia for lunch after a surf. First visit to this place, I found it from high Google reviews. Initially, I was stoked to give it a go from the healthy menu. I chose the "Burrito Bowl" as it has delicious looking ingredients. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely delicious! However, the portion was small for the price in my opinion. Otherwise, definitely good! I'd recommend it. The staff, as previous reviews mention, acted like they couldn't care less where they were or that they had customers not.“

“Wow did we miss this shaved ice place. This brand is our absolute favorite and we always look forward to it when we are in Maui. Typically we used to visit their Lahaina location but we now visited this location. We were able to stop by twice during our visit and neither time did they disappoint. The flavors are top notch. The ice is top notch, the service of the associates and their ability to make the shaved ice quickly is all top notch. They have a single picnic table so there is limited space to sit but people don't mind as only a few people sit. It was all around a great experience.“

“Solid place in Wailuku. I got the Maca Shake and my husband an Açaí Bowl. The Maca shake has dates, macadamia, cocoa, banana - basically a dessert smoothie. I was debating between that and one of their milks which was a little less thick and they have a great policy that you can sample up to 2. It was super nice of her as she opened a new bottle and I'm glad I was able to try it - delicious but a bit too rich to drink the whole bottle. My husband enjoyed his bowl. Overall, the space it small but cute and they have a great window seating area with high top tables and chairs for a few people on each side.“
“We wanted to leave a review about Ocean, the wonderful proprieter of this business. Not only did she serve us refreshing coconuts with a smile, but she made our whole visit to Maui unforgettable. My family and I arrived hours down the road in Hana and realized that my mother had left her purse at Maui Coconut Company. Money, ID for travel, phone, etc., everything she needed on our trip was in that purse. On a chance phone call to Mom's cell phone, Ocean picked up the phone and said the purse was secured with her, and she would meet us later to return it. Such an immense relief to know the purse was not lost and/or worse. Ocean went out of her way to connect with us that evening and get it back to my mom. I say this seriously: in a time when we all seem to be going mad, and people are at odds with one another, and crime and corruption seems to be the order of the day, to have one person with integrity and honest character treat her customers with the utmost in respect and ethics is super encouraging. It's nice to know that people still wish to care for other people. We thank Ocean for her kindness and goodwill. “Pukalani Terrance Center is one of the last big shopping areas on your way up to Haleakala National Park, to the Haleakala Summit to watch the sunset. My husband and I stopped by this outdoor shopping center to pick up some food to eat while we watch the sunset. In this plaza, there is a Foodland Market (which seems to be the one and only place that sells spam musubi with the rice seasoned with furikaka. The other Foodland locations that I have visited on this island did not have it) which has a Starbucks inside, there is an Ace Hardware, a Post Office and a few small eateries.In order to use the public restrooms at this plaza, which are located next to Farmacy Health Bar (down a hallway), you will need to enter the following codes for the ladies and men's: ladies- 234. Gentlemen- 345. The restrooms are not the most cleanest but they were decent.It was nice that this plaza was here for us to pick up some food before heading up the summit to check out the sunset. We ended up picking up a few poke bowls at Foodland (so delicious and fresh) and would stop by here again if I was heading up towards the national park again.“
“The coffee shop is very cute and beautiful. The vegan cinnamon roles were amazing! They also a few other vegan options. The coffee was only ok, they don’t have a real barista and their oat milk is not suitable for coffee (no Barista Oatly but has a sweet very oaty taste).“

“After United Airlines cancelled our scheduled flight home nine hours after scheduled departure we were left to our own devices to locate lodging and transportation for the night since the Maui airport essentially closes down at 11 pm and the flight cancellation occurred at 10 pm. Fortunately, my wife was able to get the last two available rooms at the Marriott Courtyard near the airport and we got one of the last two cabs at the airport to transport us. The desk personnel were extremely friendly and understanding. The rooms were large, clean and well laid out. One room complaint though- the toilets are set on very short pedestals so it is painful for older, tall people to sit on the toilet seat. There is a small snack and beverage shop adjacent to the front desk and there is a bar area (closes at 10:30 to 11 pm) which also serves as a breakfast area in the am opposite the front desk. During the day they do have a free shuttle to and from the airport. There is a pool and nice grounds though due to our circumstances we were not around to use them. Room prices are high ($580 plus per room after taxes and fees). Not sure whether that is normal price or due to our circumstances (either way we were happy to have rooms to sleep in).“
