“I never review anything online, but our family's experience here was special and renewed my faith in humanity. When we got there, the man behind the window asked what both my boys wanted, but I told him that I only had enough for one shave ice (it's cash only). He then said that he would give us 2 anyways! It was such a sweet gesture. A lesson to us all, and my kids especially, that kindness is something we should practice more often. Oh, and the shave ice was great and he gave me a spoonful of coconut ice cream too which was wonderfully sweet and creamy. Please support this place.“
“Love the shave ice here. It's a nice little shop. Just a little sad to see the entitlement of people. I understand they just ran out of something and need to refill it I can wait but I have witnessed customers come in and be told a 5 minute wait and get mad and it seems like they take to Google to try and give a great place a bad reputation just because they are impatient. Be nice to the workers here they are wonderful people and it's sad to see them get treated badly just because you have to spend 5 minutes of your vacation waiting for them to restock something that you want. Do not listen to the people that have put 1 star reviews this place is a nice gem in paradise Do not let businesses like this shut their doors just because of entitlement.“
“Do yourself a favor if you are in Kona make the drive to Pudgee Panda. The ice cream is so good. You can try all of the flavors if you want. The service was impeccable!! We got the Stawberry Pebble Mountain and Coffee flavored one. Such a cute place and theme!!!“
“JoJo's is a classic. Getting into this one is more difficult because the restaurant space is so small. They have additional covered seating nearby, but be warned, it is well loved by previous shave ice enthusiasts--it's sticky! Bring baby wipes or something for your hands and faces.“
