“A friend told me about this adorable little place in Wahiawa next to Central Pacific Bank and forever grateful she did !! This place is a gem!! Owner/worker there is such a sweetheart! Food is the BEST authentic Italian food hubby and I have tasted on this island! Price is very reasonable for the huge amount of delish food you receive. We've tried the Eggplant Parmesan with meat sauce on linguini (my fav), Arabiatta on linguini, Cheese ravioli with meat sauce plus their garlic toast. Hubby tried the steak on linguini with house sauce one time then garlic butter sauce second time and was super awesome!! Everything we've tried is a hit! This is our to-go Italian place from now on! Oh and did I mention the owners/workers were awesome too!?? Just love them!! Only sad deal is they are closed Sunday & Monday but hard workers need a break as well. Makes us anxiously await til Tuesday for our exquisite Italian fix!They are *Cash Only* which is fine with us since restaurants are charging fees now days. Small dine in area but super cozy. “I had the Furikake Miso Salmon Katsu and it was delicious! My first time in Hawaii, my first time at Zippys; I wanted to be with the locals and eat what they eat, and I was told that this is the spot. I saw many items on the menu that I never heard of before, and found the two things that I really like, Katsu and Salmon. The Salmon was fresh and I know fresh fish when I bite into it. I eat salmon about every other week. Ive tried frozen salmon and Ive tried fresh salmon, and there's a huge difference between the two. I only like to eat fresh fish, and I know for a fact that my plate of Furikake Katsu was fresh. The staff and service was amazing and friendly. My entire family enjoyed the food and ambience, even my brother in law who is very picky enjoyed his food.“
“Okay here it goes. I am not getting paid to do this. Anyway you’re welcome. This is probably the best subway in Wahaiwa. Those ladies will take care of you. Be a team player. Communication is important. I have been going to this place for some time. I am telling you ,know your sandwich artists and they will know you. Haven’t been to any other subway ever since. And for the Mililani subway had a bad experience.“
“Ordered the kalua pork and teriyaki chicken plates. The portions are huge! The kalua pork was well salted and moist. Rice was cooked nicely too. I liked the spicy bbq sauce that it came with. Not a fan of their mac salad though- it tasted funny. The teriyaki chicken thighs were nicely charred. Definitely could have fed 3 adults off of two plates! As expected, the pineapple slice on the plate was delicious. Wouldn't mind eating here again for plate lunches.“
