I decided to try the popular Pineapple ice cream at Plantation Grille but it didn't quite live up to expectations. While the fresh pineapple tasted reminiscent of those from a Dole NY supermarket, it had an unpleasant aftertaste. The soft-serve ice cream itself had a decent pineapple flavor but wasn't remarkable. Ordered the kalua pork and teriyaki chicken plates. The portions are huge! The kalua pork was well salted and moist. Rice was cooked nicely too. I liked the spicy bbq sauce that it came with. Not a fan of their mac salad though- it tasted funny. The teriyaki chicken thighs were nicely charred. Definitely could have fed 3 adults off of two plates! As expected, the pineapple slice on the plate was delicious. Wouldn't mind eating here again for plate lunches.
