My personal preference is thinner sliced cucumber for cucumber kimchi, but that’s just me. The lady working in the front was extremely friendly and kind. The place is really small and driving by you could easily miss it.”

“Love the spicy poke nigiri so much, I go atleast 3x a week to get my fix ? Just wish the bacon roll was the same like it use to be. I ordered it 3x when new owners came and the bacon was not crispy.”

“Love their Portuguese sausage. Pancakes were fluffy and fresh. The bacon was cooked just how I like it, not too crispy. Portion is big. Priced very well too! Parking can be a little tight. There’s street parking nearby. Service was quick and friendly.”

“I've never had shabushabu before and it was amazing! So many choices of everything! It's buffet and ridiculously delicious. So much food and so healthy too. Good idea to go for lunch because it's cheaper than dinner. And they were so kind to let me and my friend sit as long as we wanted. The service was wonder. I will definitely be back!”

The butter rolls are phenomenal!! ANYTHING that has their incredible chocolate frosting on it is a WINNER!! Truthfully? You cannot go wrong with whatever you buy at this bakery❣️”

“My Friend and I ordered corn beef hash. DA Bes in town. Friend wanted his eggs soft scrambled. Our waitress, Rhea, knew exactly how it's made as many establishments overcook them. She said she would inform the cook. They were served exactly as my friend, Bob, wanted. Great service even with a full house. We will become regulars for sure!!!!!”

“The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was an unexpected find. We try to find non-touristy and local restaurants. It’s about 35 minutes from Honolulu. Annika (sp?) was a wonderful server. She answered all our questions, gave perfect suggestions and was very attentive. The food was delicious and had leftovers (we ordered a lot). We had crab rangoons & the soft won tons as appetizers. Pat ordered the General Tso’s Chicken Plate and half Roasted Duck, which he LOVED. I ordered the Pepper Garlic Pork Chop (DELICIOUS!!) and Hawaiian Fried Rice. I asked for sau-sau-an (sp? a type of Filipino vinegar garlic dipping sauce), which added to the taste of the pork. The Ube Ice Cream was a delicious surprise. The reason for the 4 stars for food is because the fried rice was a little overcooked. If we were staying longer, we would go to it a few more times. If you get a chance to go, you won’t be sorry.”

“I am about 5 months pregnant and some of you might know that you're not supposed to eat any cold deli meats while pregnant. However you're allowed hot deli meats. I haven't had any deli meats or really a good sandwich for months. My pregnancy cravings finally won out and I came here to see if I could find a work around. The staff was so friendly and welcoming I had no issues asking to have my deli meats cooked to make my sandwich safe! Not to mention they handed me a sandwich the size of a baby! I literally skipped to my car I was so happy! Then to top it off, it was everything I wanted and more, extremely delicious! I will definitely be back!”

“Is a nice little dessert shop in Wahiawa. I ordered a Green River Shake from them and it tasted just as amazing as it looks. It had an old school home made taste to it. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is craving something sweet and to anyone who is tired of McDonald's having their ice cream machine broken.”

“Had dinner here last night. The food was great. I had the Bruja Rice Bowl with shredded beef and my husband had the chimichanga. Both plates were delicious! The red sauce that goes on the chimichanga is so good I was pouring it over my bowl too. Chips and salsa are complimentary and the guacamole is GOOD! Music was pleasant and made you want to dance a little. The owner is so friendly and sweet. He mentioned he will also be open on holidays which is so great for families that need somewhere to go or don’t want to cook. Try this place out and get to know the owner, you will not regret it.”

“My husband and I Read about this place through the support 808 page and saw they offered porkroll and scrapple. For a born and raised South Jersey girl, finding those on this island is heaven! We ordered a couple of Hoagies for lunch and porkroll and scrapple and pickles too! Definitely a place we will be often! Reminds me of a good stop to take hoagies to go when going down the shore! Thank you for the bottom on my heart for sharing a taste of home! The Hoagies were exactly right for East Coast sub shop! I almost went back to get pizza for dinner too!”

“Another Wahiawa Gem! Was waiting at another Chinese restaurant for them to open and got impatient and wound up here. Was only craving egg rolls and crispy gaugee. The price here is .99 per piece which is way cheaper than most Chinese restaurants in Hawaii. I got a clam shell full with a side of hot mustard and oh my goodness… I’ve had gaugee and egg rolls from just about everywhere and this has been the best I’ve had on island! Can’t believe I’ve passed this place over and over. Will be taking my family back (tonight haha) mahalo”

I remember meeting Charmaine one day in Baldwin’s in Aiea and I told her because of her cookies I named my daughter after her. She’s now 17 and a senior now.”

Yes I have been to Thailand, I'd say 95% of the Thai food on island is the American Thai, toned downed, cookie cutter vetsions cause most peeps cant handle the real stuff! Nuis stays true and that's why the food taste and looks different than most.Nui is very accomadating and work with what you want, food doesnt taste greasy like most, and all the dishes are complimented with a healthy serving of good for you veggies! For those that need more meat, the Hot Wings are ?.The view outside is breathtaking, you'll have to come and see for yourself!”

My only complaint the jukebox can eat shit it's annoying that you may drop $10-20 to never hear you song play (unless you pay triple). Early in the night patrons play banger after banger of you like metal....

However as the night goes on the trash gets played, Buck Cherry and Creed are absolutely shite to listen to... I really dislike the jukebox/how it's setup.”

“That day it had 3 people and as I was waiting, a known homeless guy was filling his water bottles with soda by the time I looked, he had 3 filled I brought it to the attention of the young girl and she could not say anything to him as he was finished and walked right out. Feb 11th, 2025 They're focused on the sandwich, making that they don't pay attention , obvious he's done it before. Other than that, everything else was good.”

“I like how HiBlend is on Scholfield. It’s a great place to go get food after work. Every time I go to HiBlend, I get a good vibe from everyone who works there. Definitely enjoy the small talk with them, every nice people. Though I am a big fan of their smoothies and açaí bowl, there are many great options to order from. HiBlend is definitely fan favorite here on post.”

“Old school Wahiawa Korean restaurant thats been around seemingly forever thats known for their meat jun. The original owners arent there anymore so maybe thats why the taste is a bit different nowdays. Still good but not like I remember. Service is typical of Korean restaurants.... Gotta flag them down if you want something.

Post covid hours have changed so they close very early now. Been just ordering to go, and as a common rule wherever i go I check my order before I leave🤙A generous 4 stars.”
