“WOW this sushi… Some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Totally unassuming spot in a parking garage that had us hesitating at first but I’m so glad we went. The staff was greeting people by name, this is clearly a spot that caters to locals. The cucumber special roll, rainbow roll, and uni were all out of this world. Thank you!!!“
“I literally had to stop in the middle of my meal to write this review because their food is that delicious. Lono Blue Kitchen is definitely worth the wait. I do recommend bringing patience with you though since it is evident that this is a pure small business. It appeared when we went that there was one person manning the kitchen and the front. Staff was clear about wait times though and that they check availability on certain items. For ambiance, there isn't a ton of seating available and it is open air. If you want to sit and dine, you may have to wait if another party is there already. There is street parking available so keep your eyes peeled when you're looking for a spot. Everything is seasoned so well. And the flavor profile that you're expecting with dishes like the takoyaki are delivered-which definitely makes the taste buds happy. Our katsu was crispy and didn't feel greasy.“
“This place is awesome!!!!FANTASTIC food and good vibes all around. I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re wanting a more local experience on the island with some pretty sweet views.Edit: I will say this place gets busy on peak nights- so make sure to reserve a table in advance.“
“We enjoyed this restaurant very much. With a party of 17 it can be a challenge to serve so many efficiently. The staff excelled at their jobs serving delicious plates quickly with Aloha. The sushi chef is superb and the whole atmosphere here was joyful and welcoming. A must try... the Ube Creme Brulee. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend others to give it a try too!“
“The meal I just had at Miso Phat was simply wonderful and the highlight of my day. The nigiri was great but it was the chef’s butterfish and rice that made the meal. By far the best sushi and fish dish I’ve had anywhere on Maui. The atmosphere is nice, just limited space.Dietary restrictions: GF is no problem here.Parking: Shopping center parking“
“I can have their soba everyday!!It’s a very calming and beautiful space. My auntie and I had a warm soba with Kamo, the duck. The meat was so tender and flavorful. We finished our lunch with a Soba Cream Brûlée. So good!!Wabisabi is a must try while you are on Maui!!“
“BEST SUSHI ON MAUI ? not only is the place super cute (tons of snoopys everywhere and beach decor!) it’s just one couple that do everything themselves! and the food is AMAZING. super soft rice and fish, and super flavorful! not even super expensive! i got two rolls and the total was $40 including tip :) i think it’s the best food i’ve had here in my two week stay ?“
“Wow! Oao certainly lives up to its name! I was just gifted their Firecracker roll (mahalo Christian! So very kind of you) and it was AMAZING! Highly, highly recommend. It was so fresh and had such great flavors! I will definitely be back :)“
“We foolishly came at the weekday lunch rush but it was still worthwhile. The daily special bento was a great bargain. More a place for locals, and a few smart people who seek out such places.Kid-friendliness: Great! As long as you avoid the lunch rush because who wants to wait for a table when you got kids“
“Itʻs the only place to get your cone and maki sushi, made fresh daily! They also make spam musubi with sushi and regular white rice. Their antique shop is also a great find with tons of memorabilia.Parking: Even though parking is limited,it's a quick In-N-Out store.“
