“Nice little McDonald's. Small seating area and smaller parking lot. Workers were friendly, food was accurate and delivered quickly. Be careful pulling in and out of the parking lot as it is close to the road and people drive fast out there!“

“When I passed by, there was always a line and I was curious so I came to the store!I ordered a hot dog and the sausage was meaty and delicious! But the fried zucchini was delicious!Best match with ranch sauce! I will come again to eat this! The food is made after you order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's not long. You can also use credit cards“

“Guava Smoked has such an interesting story behind it. The owners would hike around on the island and harvest the invasive strawberry guava wood that's on the island and use it to smoke their meats. The result is flavorful, sweet smelling meat and it is seasoned to perfection. We ordered the kalbi, spicy pork, and butterfish collar as well as a side of pipikaula (family recipe). All of them were lip smacking good and has a nice chew. I would recommend the spicy pork and butterfish collar for everyone to try.We ordered the plate and was able to swap out the rice for homemade kimchee, salad and a mac salad.Smoked meats all the way!Parking: Parking is a recessed lot from the street, it's around in the back“

“My wife and I loved this cute little place. It takes time for your burger because it takes time for goodness. The truffle fries are a must. The burger is very favorable. The bun holds up to all the toppings. That is a big deal. You have to put in a lot of thought to make a good burger. They have done this.“

“Go to fish taco spot on the south side. Generally the vibes and the food here are what keep me coming back, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The seating can be tough because it's so popular you have to time it right or just try not time it wrong. The four stars for food is due to the cook on the fries can be inconsistent, otherwise really Ono eats.“

“A world class burger joint. Might be the best deal in Hawaii. The burger is always cooked to perfection. Crispy edges and juicy. Fries are crisp, salty, and flavorful. The beer is local and cold. The staff is always friendly, quick, and inviting. I seriously can’t give this place enough praise. A true gem. If you are looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, you won’t find better on the island.“

“A friend who live in Honolulu recommended us to this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. The prime rib is so tender , they even helped us to cut it to smaller pieces so we could share. We also had Beets & frisee. The portion of scallop mushroom risotto was very generous, and the taste was very flavourful. Sunchoke & Brussels was another nice dish. The service was attentive. At the end, we couldn’t finish the food, so we had to pack to go.It was a nice dinner!“

“Went into Lulu’s last weekend and was taken away by the exceptional service. I had a young man named Landon show me where the bathrooms were and was timely in giving me salt and pepper when I asked. Our server, Tatiana, was a wonderful waitress who was polite and truly cared about our experience. Great food and even better service!“

“It is hard to explain why this place is so good. First of all, it is less of a diner than it is a collectible shop. The thing is that the food is so good that you would assume it's a diner trying to sell trinkets (not the other way around) Day 1 we were in the area went here because it looked cool and we had to try. First impression it literally made our family sad that such a nice place had so few people inside enjoying the experience (I think it was a Tuesday lunchtime) So after enjoying the top notch nostalgic food, we returned at least two more times. On the second visit I saw a guy make 180 purchase on collectibles and then I "got it." This is a collectible place that just so happens to have an awesome selection of banging "junk" food. The chili cheese fries are absolutely slamming and borderline authentic for what you would find at a Michigan Coney Island. I would strongly recommend the owners paying a visit to "Murphys" in Redford Mi for a guideline of how to go completely "authentic" but honestly, there is no need for true authenticity and who the hell wants to visit Michigan? Most people don't even know that coney food originated here.Rock island does a superb job of taking care of its clientele and making them feel right at home. Neither service nor food are lacking and you're missing out if you don't give this place a shot. Few criticisms: 1) no root beer for a float reinforced my general belief that I never get what I want, not even when there's a giant sign right in front of my face and not even when I'm on vacation. 2) let's get a giant picture of Elvis other than the one in a Speedo costume 3) Breakfast! 4) I think the chain at the door discourages people who are "on the fence" about dining to simply walk away rather than stand and wait. I saw this happen more than once. 5) I didn't get how Miley Cirus videos ended up on the really cool loop of classic clips from the distant past. And I love Miley...it just seemed out of place. All in all, these aren't even criticisms, just opinions of things that are probably just my opinion. All in all, best quick food around for picky kids and the chicken fingers are the best I've ever had, maybe in Earth. No clue how they pull this off. ❤️?Kid-friendliness: Chicken fingers! pinball! Kind folks who embrace children!“

“The patty was smashed, fragrant and juicy ? The onions were finely chopped so it wasn't too spicy ? THE ONE tasted too much of the jalapenos and sauce and the taste of the meat was cut in half, so for me personally I preferred WAGYU and Classic ? Also, girls would like to eat something with fresh lettuce and tomato.“

“We came here for breakfast and the food was okay. The breakfast burrito that I ordered needed a lot of sauces and toppings like sour cream avocado and hot sauce to actually make it flavorful, As on its own it was quite boring. We also ordered the locomoco which was nice as well, the eggs were sunny side up as requested and the mushrooms in the sauce was quite enjoyable. The guava mimosa is also quite good.Check out my food Instagram @erinxeats for more!“

So good, and love the staff they work very hard! Mahalo“

“Second time here and ordered the salmon poke and spicy ahi over half hapa rice and half salad. And the icing on the cake, shrimp tempura! They offered a fountain drink with purchase too! Wow!! Very fresh fish and presented very well with the perfect portion size. So important even with poke bowls. It has to be the right amount of rice to fish. Flavors were on par and one of better poke places on island!! They do get busy but they give great customer service and knows how to handle their customers. Can't wait to dig in again!“

“Very pleasantly surprised by this place. I mean it had good reviews so I wasn’t expecting it to be bad, but the customer service really blew this place out of the water. The burger was cooked to be juicy and tender. They cook the burgers medium regularly, but give you the option to request a different way to be cooked. Waikiki burger was just what I needed. Really recommend this place.“

“Stepping into Jane's Fountain is like taking a delightful journey back in time. This iconic diner, with its vintage charm and retro fixtures, offers more than just a meal – it offers a slice of Hawaii's rich history. Its time-worn counters and stools, where countless stories have been shared over the years, have seen generations come and go, yet the spirit of 'aloha' remains as vibrant as ever. The menu is a wonderful mix of comforting local favorites and classic American dishes. Their loco moco is hearty and flavorful, with a perfectly cooked egg atop a generous portion of rice and beef patty, all smothered in a rich gravy. The saimin warms the soul with its savory broth and springy noodles. And don't get me started on their breakfast offerings – the pancakes are fluffy pieces of heaven! The staff, many of whom seem like they've been part of the Jane's Fountain family forever, serve with genuine warmth and familiarity. It's not uncommon to see regulars greeted by name, making the dining experience feel personal and cherished. For those seeking a taste of old Hawaii combined with scrumptious food and heartwarming service, Jane's Fountain is an unmissable gem in the heart of Honolulu.“

“Haven't had a burger in a while so I researched local spots to ensure I wasn't disappointed and I'm so glad I didn't settle. The burgers were filling and very tasty. Fresh avocado and cheese with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and sauce. The bacon bbq burger was full of favor too. The burgers were not overcooked, medium rare was perfect! “Impressed by Pan's Kitchen yesterday! I ordered the fresh grilled ahi, and let me tell you, it was incredible. With the first bite you could tell just how fresh it was - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Just a heads up, there might be small hard time understanding sometimes due to the owner's accent. But be patient, communication works out, and the food is absolutely worth it. Parking can be tricky - it's one of those places we only go to when we see a spot open. We got lucky yesterday with an empty space, but two trucks swooped in as soon as we pulled in! Despite the potential parking hassle, Pan's Kitchen is a hidden gem. Highly recommend it for the incredible ahi (and hopefully a parking spot)!“

“Went here for dinner, meals were good however the $25 brisket plate had two small chunks of brisket. Wasn’t super happy with the pizza but it was as advertised. We also got wings which were seasoned very well although why they even bother serving the ends of them when they’re too burnt to eat is beyond me. Service was great.“

“This wasn’t an actual disappointment of a visit. The atmosphere is great, art and music memorabilia all over. Some more interesting than the last. You walk up the stairs into what appears to be a wave of guitars…really cool! We did however have a snot-nosed little boy/20-something server. Rude and short with all in our party. Our gathering was a party of 33, preset menu and open bar. Our server had additional support from another female server: who was FANTASTIC!! I wish I remembered their names. Cause that little boy has no place taking care of large parties or anyone who wants general respect human to human.Bathrooms were impressively clean! So 5⭐️ for that part of my visit.“

“You can get local grindz pretty much anywhere in Hawai'i, but this one stands out for the country-style Japanese approach they take here. Managed primarily by three Japanese-American women, this spot appears to be beloved by my motherland brethren, and I can see why as where else can you find sashimi as fresh as this on a Hawaiian lunch plate? Jamie W. and I became aware of this ramshackle spot by way of a Japan-based gay couple named TabiEats who vlog relentlessly about Hawai'i. They became so nostalgic about this spot we felt a need to give it a try. Jamie ordered the straightforward $10.50 Loco Moco Plate with two fried eggs over easy and a thick brown gravy over the hefty hamburger steak (photo: It was exactly what he was looking for down to the macaroni salad and two scoops of rice. I went with the TabiEats recommendation of the $13.50 Japanese Plate Deluxe, quite a mixed plate of chicken & beef teriyaki, shrimp tempura, potato croquettes, cabbage slaw, and the unexpected highlight, slices of fresh tuna sashimi (photo: It reminded me of what my oba-san, just not at the same time. “I am always in search of good, simple burgers. My burger standard is In-N-Out burgers. Fresh, simple, and good for your buck. Sadly, they won't ever come to Hawaii. So I ordered the All American burger with mushroom and Swiss cheese. This is one of those place where you can add and customize your burger. I find this so confusing. So I had to ask if there's any sauce or dressing that comes with it. The man behind the counter seemed so busy on his smart phone it seem like I was bothering him. He quickly took my order and dug out of the shop while I started to wait. Maybe he had to use the restroom. The wait was about 15-20 minutes. A nice man came out with my order. It was a nice size burger, not too big or small. I noticed that it came with some salad with light dressing and a slice of tomatoe. The burger didn't feel too hot. The buns were nicely toasted and soft. The beef patty wasn't freshly hot so I felt like it was either microwaved or pan fried. But it was a good, light burger and I didn't feel greasy afterwards. It was $12.“

“the employee accepted pouring the coffee into my metal mug after I explained that the disposable cups are lined with POLYETHYLENE which irritates the gut lining. the oily shine on top of the coffee is residue of the polyethylene lining (which prevents the cardboard cup from melting). The coffee at this McD smells better than the Hawaii Kai McD, probably because it was recently renovated.THANK YOU for creating less trash in the world (and in my body) by pouring the coffee into my own mug/cup.I appreciate that the workers here understand English.
