“When driving on Oahu, I stopped in front of Kailua.Two big cheeseburgers and a drink at the store for $10! I ordered this with emphasis on cost performance. We ate the finished food in the eat-in space next to the counter.The most important cheeseburger was mediocre. I think there would have been some special impressions if the sauce had been solid, but isn't this something like a sauce? The taste is just patty, cheese, and a slightly salty taste. My honest impression was that the second one was a little hard to eat.The atmosphere is Hawaiian loco! That was nice, but honestly it didn't feel clean.“

“It was a nice surprise to have lunch here with family! We grabbed a strawberry yuzu soda, one of the specials, local beets salad, and the toast and Fete spreads to share. The soda was more so a juice consistency, topped with dried citrus for a zing and was both tasty and refreshing. We all loved the salad with fresh beets, arugula, and fried scallions. It was nice that it was a serving big enough for 3 people to share, too! As for our entrees, we tried a tuna salad sandwich, the lemon zucchini risotto, and fried chicken with a side of collard greens. Large portions! We didn't care for the tuna salad sandwich, it was a big sandwich with a hamburger bun and some bacon, but just was not what we wanted.. The lemon zucchini risotto on the other hand....it wowed us Fried chicken came with a spicy tomato jam that was yummy, and chicken was nice and tender. A little bit oily but otherwise nice crunchy skin. Decided to share a strawberry fennel sorbet for dessert walking back and it was very flavorful with equal blend of both. All in all we ended up very full and satisfied from our lunch here. Less than $120 for 3 people 3 meals 2 apps and drinks was not bad at all! We enjoyed almost everything we tried and liked the creativity of the menu as well as the fresh and organic ingredients used. Looking forward to trying more!“

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

More annoying was the Mariachi band playing loudly at the taco place across the street (drowned out the pleasant music at Merriman's). We'll eat inside next time. My wife's Makai special (Kauai lobster) was superb. My peppercorn steak frite was almost impossible to cut. Sharper knives are needed! Be sure to have the anchovies with the Ceasar salad--a great experience.“

The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. “It has been a while since I've been to one of my favorite places. I loved lunches at Livestock on the regular. I was excited to come back and was happy the food, the vibe and the service were still exceptional. I love the look of this restaurant, but the food is what always brings me back. I was so happy they had the Hen of the Wood Mushrooms salad...my all-time favorite. Still tasty!!! We sat in the bar area on the high top (is that what it's called) tables. Very comfortable and allowed lots of space for food and drinks! I had the Steakhouse Salmon, and my friend had the Duck Breast. We both raved about our dishes. Our server - sorry I didn't get her name - so friendly, with the right amount of attentiveness...you just want to eat more -so we had two desserts (and coffee). Bread pudding -recommend!!! The ice cream sundae was good too. Lovely evening - thank you!“

The setting, overlooking Kapiolani Park beneath Diamond was very lovely.There is complimentary valet parking beneath the restaurant which was fortunate as the street parking was full. Service was pleasant and attentive. The foie gras terrine was heavenly, one of the most delicious preparations I have ever had, a reason to return. The mushroom rice was also very tasty and quite different.My guest is vegetarian and we enjoyed the Brussels sprouts and carrots . The zucchini was the only dish that I found disappointing. I very much enjoyed the baked Hawai'i dessert . Apparently the chocolate brownie was also excellent. A very good dinner.“

“Mamma Mia.... Request for TIA!!!!! Probably one of the best servers will come across... the host working yesterday was super chill too. Her food knowledge was A1 and she specials spiel was very natural! I love when a server can give me a spiel on a dish and it not feel redundant or "scripted." On that note though, I would have totally got the burger of the week if I could tolerate spice... All i heard was jalapenos... I really wanted to try the seafood linguini arrabbiata pasta. However, it does comes with a spicy marinara sauce(for those that don't know what arrabbiata is). Thankfully Tia had suggested to do it with "white sauce" (roasted garlic cream). And that my friend, is why... I say she made an amazing recommendation because I will be back for that pasta! Small things I would like to mention... i wish they had noted which items were a bit spicy... maybe with a . The Bruschetta was a bit spicy for me, but the topping mix was amazing... i believe it was the peppers on top of the crostinis... On another hand, the FUJI APPLE flatbread is the way to GO! If you are looking for something sweet and savory... it WEEERRRKS! The fig jam brings a nice little sweet wander in your mind with the tart of apple and saltiness of the prosciutto... and the bite of the apple with a nice salty finish! Every bite is different honestly!!! I love the balsamic glaze too!!! (Honestly, anything with a balsamic glaze is chef's kiss). Oh yeah and it had a nite bite because of the arugula! As mentioned, my pasta was cooked to perfection. It is not easy to get all the components to be as perfect as it was. The seafood, individually and together, was perfectly cooked and not over done. It was very abundant with the fish, shrimp, and the mussels. Like I said, I want thing again when I come back. I also tried some of my friend's pua'a taco that was tasty and filling! Lastly, i love the location, by the marina! I love the open air experience! The vibe is very laid back and just a nice spot to be. We were in the corner and could see everything. And this is how I imagined celebrating my friend's birthday! I would also like to mention... they do free beer (least that's what i was told... don't hate me if they don't do it anymore) for your birthday... of course you have to be "of age"! Anywhos, thank you sooo much Kona Brewing and Tia for making this one of my best lunch experiences!“

Somehow the second time was even better largely due to the gracious and hospitable bartender Eddie who made us feel very welcomed. Definitely will be coming back next time we’re in Hawaii! “This is a cute little truck/stand and the food is EXCELLENT. I got the Aloha burger and it was everything I was hoping for. Both the burger and fries were hot even after walking back to my hotel. And even though I couldn’t finish the burger in one sitting it tasted just a good the next day. If you’re looking for a burger I would definitely recommend these.“

“My first time here after seeing them on tv. So glad the worker tied the bag of my 3 plates tightly and that they use strong plastic containers. I took a sharp turn and my bag flipped to the side. My food shifted a little in the container, but at least it didn’t spill out or leak out of the containers. Love the hamburger steak with crispy onions! Omg, the special parmesan chicken was huge!! “Always Vegan was a main attraction on my trip to Hawaii. It was the first time that I've experience anything more than a three course vegan meal - there were twelve! The space was intimate but only 4 parties total were seated for the evening. There was maybe only one or two dishes that I didn't like but nothing was bad. They also allowed you to redo any course as an optional thirteenth course. The chef staff also waited us and spent a lot of entire on presentation, consistently and flavor. I hope that I get to experience this place again as their menu inevitably evolves.“
