“This place is huge, and the food is pretty good. I had a Caesar salad and their garlic butter filet mignon bites. Hubby had the Baja Fresh fish tacos. This place is part of the theater next door. Food was great, outdoor atmosphere, TVs in the restaurant. Service was attentive. Would return.“
“There are some really lousy dining options at this part of the island. We really enjoyed our meal at Wranglers. It had been closed all week because of Thanksgiving, but we were glad to see it open and went there on our last night on the island. Great little wedge salad with shrimp, which we’d never seen before, and it was delicious. We weren’t too adventurous with our choice of bacon barbecue cheeseburgers (Wrangler Burgers, I think), but they were really good. The branded bun was a nice touch. The steaks and seafood being served around us looked great. The table next to us said the calamari was excellent, but we didn’t order. Decent beers on tap and a full bar. Live Hawaiian music was definitely a plus. Highly recommend.“
“Hale Kai is all about the ocean views, but the food makes it worth whatever wait you will have. First time there, we enjoyed the chicken tacos and grilled swordfish sandwich, both delicious. Later in our stay, the grilled ono and hamburger were solid if not spectacular. Had to end up vacation with Kona Coffee Mud Pie -- oh my was it exceptionally tasty!!“
“Solid, if not spectacular, spot for local seafood meal. The spearfish Hawaiian style was flavorful, even if portion was a bit small. Seafood fried rice had nice variety and delicious. Coconut shrimp pupu a bit overdone but nice coconut dipping sauce.Parking: Easiest place to park is on top level in the back, since you enter on second story of establishment.“
