“Our 2nd time to visit in a week so you know we are fans. The appetizer of Brussels sprouts is OUTSTANDING so we got that again. My husband had the filet, which he loved. It was 5PM on a Sunday & they were out of A1 steak sauce. I had the Bungalow salad & it was excellent. The hot rolls & butter are amazing. Our guest had the Creole shrimp & crab pasta dish & she enjoyed it as well. Key Lime Pie is a must for dessert - tangy & delicious. Our server, Tara, is wonderful, attentive & helpful with suggestions. We had requested to be in her section again & was fortunate enough to be able to sit in a booth that she handled. Overall, a wonderful meal & we will be back.“
“Five stars for Napua at Mauna Lani Beach Club! Initially, I was a tad hesitant due to the limited lunch menu, but any reservations quickly dissipated with the first bite. The quality of everything we ordered was absolutely superb, with each dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. What truly sets Napua apart, though, is its unbeatable beachside setting. Dining with the sound of waves gently breaking in the background and a panoramic view of the ocean was an experience in itself. While parking can be a bit tricky, the effort to find a spot is a small price to pay for the incredible atmosphere and exceptional dining experience that awaits. Napua has masterfully combined high-quality cuisine with a breathtaking location, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in the best of Hawaii's natural beauty and culinary excellence.“
“Glad I dropped by this spot a few minutes away from the beach. I ordered the Twin fin burger and Tsunami fries. Both packed with flavor and have island/surf themed menu items in this tiny restaurant that can seat 8 people at most. I'll definitely come back again if I get the chance! Have to add that it was a bit pricey and spent around $27 for the double patty burger and Tsunami fries. Lastly the lady wasn't really helpful when I was trying to figure out the self order kiosk. For some reason the meal options didn't match the menu on the wall.“
“Solid, if not spectacular, spot for local seafood meal. The spearfish Hawaiian style was flavorful, even if portion was a bit small. Seafood fried rice had nice variety and delicious. Coconut shrimp pupu a bit overdone but nice coconut dipping sauce.Parking: Easiest place to park is on top level in the back, since you enter on second story of establishment.“
“Shiori was our server for my friends birthday. We ordered the pesto rigatoni pasta and bolognese rigatoni. IT WAS TO DIE FOR. Absolutely incredible. We also got two pizzas, meat lovers and margarita. All hand made and wonderful flavors. Drink wise we had Chianti Classico (rooster) and 2 Old fashions. The drinks were spot on and perfectly made and the wine perfect with our meals. The scenery around the resteraunt inside and out was beautiful. Catch a super early dinner and enjoy the Waimea lifestyle and local food/people. You wont regret it!Thank you Shiori for an amazing time!“
“Everything was wonderful! Service was excellent. We had Leanna as our server. Food was mouth watering. I had the filet mignon and hubby had the Ono special. Then there was a father son duo playing guitar and singing. They were sooo good! We would recommend this restaurant highly and go there again for sure!“
“We loved this restaurant. We went there for our anniversary dinner, and even though we made a late reservation they were able to seat us right by the ocean balcony. The host, manager and waitress were all extremely helpful and considerate. The food was AMAZING, and the atmosphere was pleasant and casual. The music was a little loud, but when they put us out by the ocean all we could hear were the waves so it didn't matter anymore. I can honestly say I have never had a more pleasant dining experience and would recommend this place to anyone. While expensive, I can honestly say that by the end of the meal I would have paid double and still been ok with it (but I'm glad I didn't have to ?). We liked it so much we are planning to go back at least one more time before we leave the island. 5 out of 5 stars- hands down!“
“Had a good time here listening to some music performances. The setup is pretty cool open air with food and drinks available. Staff were all very attentive and fun. Food was tasty and not a terrible wait like mentioned in another review. They have special procedures if it is a big/busy night and the staff will give you instructions. Read them :)“
“After a long day of hiking, this hit the spot. Coconut shrimp was a huge serving size for 16$. Coconut shrimp and a serving of pineapple from the fresh fruit stand next door made the day so much better.Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible“
“Hale Kai is all about the ocean views, but the food makes it worth whatever wait you will have. First time there, we enjoyed the chicken tacos and grilled swordfish sandwich, both delicious. Later in our stay, the grilled ono and hamburger were solid if not spectacular. Had to end up vacation with Kona Coffee Mud Pie -- oh my was it exceptionally tasty!!“
“Went on a Friday night and Parking lot was full but not too many customers inside. It was a rainy night and the parking lot is gravel so a lot of water puddles and not a safe walk. The food is pricey but it was good. Had the shrimp pasta and shared a couple of sushi rolls which tasted great. The half portions are big. Nice piano playing.“
“One of my favorite meals I look forward to eating... Cesar Salad and grilled Mahi Mahi. Off the menu now, but ordered Kahlua Fries (fries a la carte and side of Kahlua pork with aioli) thanks to a great server. Perfect lunch while at the beach.“
“We have to give it a 5*, Amazing food & atmosphere that was supported by great service. Extremely expensive...even for Hawaii. Try the fried rice as a shareable and the Tataki beef appetizer. Sunset views on the beach. Amazing property. If you are willing spend the equivalent of one night's lodging...it's a must dine.“
