“Great food service atmosphere. We took our friends for their first time eating here and they were impressed. Great customer service and we got in quickly to have our ono party boat. We love this place and what a treat to come here with great friends and Ohana.“
“A little on the expensive side, but you get plenty of food and the food is good! I fell in love with the noodles. They came as a side with my boyfriend's order, I tried it and wanted more, so he ordered a large which I couldn't finish, so it went home with us for later. I ordered the fish plate which came with probably a 12 oz piece of fish! I wanted to eat all of it, but knew I shouldn't; it had a soy marinade flavor. With rice, it was so satisfying. I didn't eat the salad. The noodles had that high-temperature flavor you expect from good stir-fry. The veggies were just the right tenderness. Delicious! The inside has a bit of an industrial feel. I think the owner works the grill. She was very friendly and helpful. There was limited seating inside, but I imagine most people get take-out.“
“Huge portions and very fast service. I came here after a hike and was amazed at how fast and cheap it was. Food tasted amazing and they were even nice enough to take back a plate of fried rice that came out with fish cake and replaced it. I will be coming here more often!“
“The best noodles in Honolulu ever. The broth was light but at the same time super delicious. It was not complex and just dreamy. I was craving for more after eating this. Aside from the highlight, the runner up dishes that I tried included the beef stick, small but mighty beef on a stick. The musubi was also very good, perfect size. Overall, service was speedy, humorous, and nice. The waiter we had was just hilarious and welcoming. This place is literally in the middle of nowhere, but this isn't your creepy restaurant, this is a cozy, sanctuary for your noodle cravings . Coming back on my next voyage to Honolulu.“
“Palace Saimin on King Street is a true hidden gem that transports you back in time with its old-school taste done right. This quaint spot may be small, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in flavor. The menu is super simple, featuring saimin, udon, and BBQ sticks - perfect for those who know exactly what they're craving. While seating can be a bit of a challenge depending on when you arrive, the quick and friendly service more than makes up for it. Just a heads-up, parking is limited to a few stalls in front, and whatever you do, DO NOT park at the Post Office across the street. If you're in the mood for some authentic local comfort food, Palace Saimin is the place to be!“
“Fooki is an amazing spot as a solo diner, date night spot, or with a group of friends you want to catch up with. I ordered the Seafood Laksa, which was very flavorful and if you end up saving the leftover curry coconut creamy broth, would be ideal for layering on top of any appetizer. The Shrimp Paste Noodle Soup could've been improved upon as the broth wasn't too memorable, however the hand made shrimp paste was fairly unique. If you have a group bigger than two, would recommend making reservations to play it safe!“
“It is one of the few places that still serves old kine local style comfort food. I had the Hearty Meal, which was lightly coated pork chops, fried shoyu chicken, and spam. Onolicious, sorry, no pictures. You just got to go and see and eat it yourself.“
“My favorite place to get freshly made Pansit, Miki soup noddles, and Won Ton Wrappers. They also make various noodles and wraps such as Chow mein, Chow funn, Saimin, Mandoo wrap, Udon, Suimai wrap, and their new: Kaigushu noddles. Each items are fairly priced per pound. Recommend coming here for freshly made noddles/wraps.“
“Favorite pho place on the island. Friendly staff with timely service. We’re always satisfied when we come here. I love the tofu pho with a side of meatball and a piece of French bread with their housemade butter. The chili garlic dipping sauce is also my all time favorite!“
“A very nice surprise when my daughter took me here today. The hot sour soup was excellent and the only thing I didn't like was that the noodles were super slippery and hard to grasp with the chopsticks. But the flavors were spot on and the fried calamari appetizer was Ono. No sauce needed for the calamari. The pancake (soufflé) strawberry dessert was also delish and don't forget the ice cream with the dessert. My daughter forgot to order the vanilla scoop for $2. This place is a must try if you're in Pearlridge.“
“Staff was friendly and attentive, filled our waters multiple times. Appetizer arrived after our main dishes. Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) was exceptional. Their Pad Ped, which literally translates to “stir fry spicy” didn’t have the slightest hint of spice. Not a single chili. Perhaps they ran out of Thai chilis and served us anyways? We might try them again to see if this experience was a one-off, but will probably explore other Thai restaurants first.“
“This is a great old school hole in the wall that you know is gonna be good cause it's packed with locals bringing their family in. Came for Sunday early lunch and the restaurant was pretty packed, but interestingly slowed down come noontime. It was amazing to see how hard the servers and wait staff were working, just going non stop! Our table ordered the double cheeseburger with fries, plain, a Teri beef stick, and the #58 The Dodonpa. Burger was fine, had bits of green and white onion in the patty itself. Teri beef stick was a let down. Tasted fine, but tough like it was precooked and microwaved. Loved the saimin though, especially since I love loads of toppings and this came with it all! Egg, wonton, cha siu pork, crispy pork, roast beef, imitation crab, fried shrimp luncheon meat, cabbage..... again, toppings galore. Everything was good except the fried shrimp which came out first on its own plate - shrimp was so thin and it was all hard, thick batter by the time the saimin came out. Regardless, would definitely order this again. Got a regular portion with rare noodles cause I like a bite to them.Parking is free but can be difficult to get. The lot can be a clusterf.“
“This place was everything I hoped it would be. So incredibly delicious. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The food portions were huge. The spice level was awesome! My only wish world be this place were bigger to fit more people! Love love loved it! We had the chicken fried rice, dumplings, spicy beef udon, fried chicken and noodle, curry Ramen. So so good!Kid-friendliness: They were so helpful for ordering for picky kids.“
“I am so sad to read that this business has closed; we were going to stop by today. The price of the food was reasonable for the amount that they give you -- which is A LOT and the food tasted wonderful. Customer service was also great! Hope they open up again one day.“
“Came here to pick up dinner to go (they're open for dine in as well in case you're wondering). My nearest go to pho restaurant. Try out the Pho with flank. Had a little bit of fat on it, which adds flavor to the soup iykyk. Their large size isn't as large as some other pho restaurants on the island, so don't be too disappointed if you order large and it doesn't fill you up. Overall, if you're in the area of stadium mall and craving some pho (especially on a cold night), come check em out!“
“It was a nice change to takeout from here. Haven't gone in years. Both of us were craving for gyoza. I also ordered 2 chicken katsu curry plates (without the curry). Thought I'd be charged less without the curry but it was the same price. I went back a few minutes later to confirm the price. Waitress said there was no lesser charge and asked if I wanted the curry. That was very nice of her. She packed the curry in a takeout container and gave it to me without looking annoyed. I appreciated that great customer service. Gyoza tasted perfect!“
“started a cold & needed hot soup ? debated b'tween Chinese hot & sour soup, Thai green curry or ramen.Tantan ramen won, 1st time i'd tried it. i usually eat char siu ramen or Combination A = mini ramen, mini beef curry ? & gyoza.Tantan is Nice, Big bowl of ramen w/ wakame, bamboo shoots, char siu, 1/2 boiled egg in ono broth (which i added chili oil to).
