“My husband's place to eat prime rib. He says, "it's the best he's ever had." I've tried some dishes, and everyone was good. But, my favorite is the stuffed salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. Service is always the bomb. Overall, it's just a great place to come and grind. You won't be disappointed.”
“Love the food and service here! I can definitely say with confidence that I come here at least once a week. Food is always on point and the service never disappoints. Also, love that the food is usually within 15 minutes. If you're hungry, go for one of their two choice combos. My favorite is the kalbi and zucchini Jun. My top picks are either Mandoo guk sop or the yukgaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup). They use real fernbrake in the soup.”
“Love this place! All their food is made fresh to order and i highly recommend ordering your food ahead of time via phone. You can even ask them to adjust the spiciness level to your liking but be warned, Thai food is generally very spicy...so you can ask them for some spicy chili pepper on the side to adjust to your liking. We usually order the Basil Chicken and the Yellow Curry there. Basil Chicken is so delicious and i love all the fresh veggies like the onion, bell peppers, and basil leaves. The yellow curry we usually order it with chicken, and they give a very generous amount of curry and rice with each order. Service there is awesome, but because everything is made to order, the food can take some time to be made.”
“If you are in the mood for some Hawaiian food. Give HFP (Hawaii Food Products) a try. I called and spoke to Lita. She was so helpful in helping me place my order. They have a variety of laulau's (Chicken, Pork, Beef, and Vegan)Ordered two trays of mini Pork laulau (no fish). Each tray comes with 24 laulau. The laulau's come chilled and all you need to do is warm them in your steamer or put them on the sterno for an hour or longer. My family and guest really enjoyed the laulau's. I'm definitely going to order again for my next get together with family and friends.Vegetarian options: They do have Vegan laulau's. They were out when I ordered, but you can find them in stores. (Under OnoOno food label)”
“1st time @Kuni...&I was born &raised in Pearl City 71yrs ago. Recommendation to dine here came from a friend who ate here a long time ago. Service was good, food was excellent &portions generous. Will be back.”
“Food will make you wanna say "yes lawwd" forsure. Fish was crispy on the outside, hella juicy on the inside. Collards we're well seasoned with a kick. Not a big mac n cheese guy, but if you eat here, it's a must. Will be here again soon.”
“Great food service atmosphere. We took our friends for their first time eating here and they were impressed. Great customer service and we got in quickly to have our ono party boat. We love this place and what a treat to come here with great friends and Ohana.”
“Our server Maika is amazing, first time ever here. I recommend this place he was amazing so professional and kind. Thanks so much for your hospitality, and excellent services. Now and days is hard to get this treatment and we were 5. Thanks great job.”
“I have been going to Club Ruby in Waipahu since 2023. I normally go with a male companion. Of course it is normally on my night off from work and when there's enough moolah to spend. The several times that my male companion and I went to Club Ruby it wasn't as crowded as most bars. Majority of the time it is hard to get in touch with workers via phone since the phone rings more than 10 times with no answer. As a person enters the bar there will be booths on the right side as well as straight ahead. Couple of the booths have game machines. There's two dart board machines behind of the booths. There is even a pool table in the establishment. The bar seating is on the right hand side with the restrooms and the small kitchen nearby. Most nights the bar offers snacks like chips and peanuts. We were lucky one night March 19, 2024 that the bartender June had some oxtail meat to serve the regular customers....not sure how much it cost. Customers can sing karaoke at the bar. Every Tuesday and Saturday is free from 7pm to closing while the other days/nights it's $2.00 a song. There are three television screens for the customers to look at if they plan on singing karaoke. Did I play a few rounds of pool? Yes I have...never win since I am still a beginner. Cost is $1.00 a game. Have I played any darts? No...that's my male companions game. Have I ever sing karaoke? Yes I have several times. I even did a few duets with the male companion.”
“First time there & last. There's an old smell upon entering. The food took longer than expected. We both had the hamburger steak & the corn on our plates looked awful. The Portuguese bean soup was the worst I've ever tasted & it was visually unappealing. Our hamburger was very hard & dry & my ff could have been cooked longer. Nobody likes white limp ff. I will say the server was very attentive & he had his "customer service" hat on. This place could use an update in decor & food.”
“My husband and I stopped at Thai Village on a cold, rainy day for chicken pho. The broth was good. The portion was huge and very filling. The price was reasonable ($15.95). Our server was friendly and service was good. We hadn’t been to Thai Village since pre-pandemic times, so we would like to go back to try some of our favorite dishes (better shared with friends so we can try multiple dishes). If you like Thai food, give Thai Village a try.”
“My BFF & I haven't been here since the Pandemic, this is our favorite location since this restaurant has more than one location (Kunia). We ordered our favorite dishes (Evil Jungle, Red Curry with tofu, Spring Rolls, Pad Thai with pork, sticky rice). Our waitress was friendly, even made a recommendation so that we can try it on our next visit. As always place was nice and clean.Parking: We went early, because this area during lunch and dinner hours can be packed.Wheelchair accessibility: One fronting the restaurant”
“For breakfast, a bowl of Pampanga Kitchen's Arroz Caldo (rice soup) is a great way to start the day. It's full of flavor, with generous amounts of chicken and an egg. Also included: two calamansi to jazz it up even more.Order and pay at the register first. Counter seating.Parking: parking may get tight later in the dayWheelchair accessibility: good accessibility”
“Dined in for lunch and tried the Chili and Chicken Mixed plate. The chicken was crunchy and juicy and the chili was tasty! The Banana Cream Pie was delicious!Portion size was generous!Kid-friendliness: They have a kid's menu which gives a choice of entree, drink and dessert.”
“Lisa was our server and she made the experience there absolutely amazing. She deserves to be recognized as she was super attentive to everyone in our group including the children. We left our lunch super happy and shocked it was one of the best experiences we have had eating at a restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh.”
“First impression was meh! We walked in and the girl in the front (Razelle) looked at us and walked away and then just watched us stand there from another part of the restaurant. Then after a while she came back to the front and asked if we were taking out. We were dining in. So she walked us to our table. Can I say she (Razelle) is the worst server. She took our order and disappeared. We then had Henry come by and started to take care of us afterwards because (Razelle) ignored us after taking our order. Henry was an amazing server! Very attentive and great! He brought us plates and water which (Razelle) didnt even bring before our food got to our table. She had the worst attitude! Then we finished off with Henry. He brought us our doggy bag and our dessert. We ordered the small garlic rice, the bulaklak, Max's chicken and they were all good. The only thing I didnt like was the kare kare. Usually I am used to the oxtail in the karekare fall off the bone soft and this one was hard and I didnt like the flavor of it. I gave it 3 stars because of Henry and the other tasty things on the menu. Halo Halo was nice!”
“We had a great experience here! The entire staff was really friendly. The food arrived quickly and was good. The boys gave them bonus points for having hockey on the TV. Overall a very pleasant experience.”
“We'll always a place to go and get Fried Saimin for any party or gathering. Located in the old Waipahu town next door to Savers . Make sure you go to the correct L&L because there's another L&L location in the Waipahu Town Center . I normally phoned my order in and they always have it ready for pick up without paying over the phone . It's a small pan of fried Saimin for about $26 dollars can't go wrong it feeds up to 10-12 people ? . Depending on how much everyone takes lol . It has a lot of fish cake on the top with lots of green onion. The noodles is cooked perfectly not oily and not tasting like sesame oil . Lots of parking and fast friendly service so next time if your in the neighborhood you can either order a fried Saimin plate or a small pan for your future parties. Support local and be safe”
“First time I came here was just before closing. Although it’s very annoying for workers when somebody comes before closing, they still were very nice and kind to cook just before closing.”
“Been wanting to try their food for the longest time. Someone brought me the chicken katsu special with drink included. I enjoyed the katsu more than I expected. The batter had a crunch to it - even after microwaving. I liked the "hard" batter, although some say it's overcooked. It wasn't dried out at all. Not much of a flavor (how some people like it) but the katsu sauce completed the fkavor. Katsu sauce was filled to the brim of the separate round container and on the sweet side. Mac salad had a flavor of its own. Overall, I did enjoy my meal and would order the katsu again. The portions are plenty! Very generous - especially for a $10.00 lunch with a drink included. I look forward to trying the other items.”
“I'm very picky when it comes to Korean food and very rarely do I give a 4-5 star review. The food at Y'kele bbq is pretty darn good. The Kalbi is nicely charred and very tender and the fried mandoo is tasty as well. The portions are very generous also.”
“Decided to try this place after reading the reviews. Two of us went on a Saturday around 1pm. We were the only party there, then another table of three arrived.Location: Waipahu. Don't know the name of the mall. This is the location of the former Thai Kitchen between what used to be the Chinese restaurant and the laundromat. Nearby there is Pacific Market.Parking: There is parking in that area. Hey now this is too funny! If you look at other yelp photos of the parking, even from a year ago - you'll see the same gray SUV parked in front of the restaurant license plate number NVD.....I just thought that was hilarious. What to expect: Friendly staff. They accept cash and cards. No liquor so BYOBottle. Any takeout container (for leftovers) costs $1 each. Eat all your food, or bring your own container.Atmosphere: It is a small place, with about 10-12 tables. Friendly staff. I didn't ask about a bathroom so unsure about that.Service: Friendly! Food: Nice menu. There are three banchans. I don't know if the variety changes daily. There was bean sprouts, radish, and kim chee. Would have been nice to have a green one too. We ordered the meat jun and BBQ chicken combo, stone pot bibimbap, seafood pancakes.Verdict: BBQ Chicken was excellent. Meat Jun was tasty but could've had more meat. Way too thin. We have a favorite Meat Jun spot in Aiea which sets the bar. This place did not meet that standard. If you're reading this you know the spot in Aiea.Seafood pancake was very good, though I like when they're served how I normally see it at other places, and not in little round pieces. Stone Pot Bibimbap. Now I was looking forward to this. The rice did not crisp because maybe I turned it too soon?? IDK. Also, there was something missing. Not enough sesame flavor?? Not excellente, missing the umami. We have our favorite Stone Pot bibimbap place in Ewa Beach. This place missed it by a couple marks. Price: We thought the price was comparable to other places. With the tip, our bill was around $60. Will I be returning?? Definitely, to try a few other items on the menu. Though the meat Jun and bibimbap did not meet expectations, this place is not off our list. There aren't many choices for Korean restaurants on the West Side unless you want the take out counter type where you stand in line, choose four veggies, etc.....and those aren't very good.”
