“We had a great meal with excellent wait service. Even with drinks, it didn't cost as much as I was expecting. The only issue was the long wait to get in (party of 10). I know that's not the fault of the restaurant, but it's worth noting if you're planning on going. Once in, we were not rushed to leave and it was appreciated.“
“We were visiting from out of town in late January. Des Moines had just had a heavy snowfall and the streets were not in great shape so we wanted to find a BBQ restaurant close to our hotel and found Rrackss via the Yelp app. We were there at 6:00 on a Friday night and there were no customers in the restaurant. We thought they might be closed. Parking was limited as they share a small parking lot with other businesses. It was dark, raining hard, and the street in front of the building was very narrow because of the piled up snow and it did not feel like we could park there. The food was delicious, served quickly, and really hit the spot. Another couple came into the restaurant shortly after we did and with only four customers the waiters were able to be very attentive. Come on, Des Moines, support this great restaurant!“
“Lindsey, our waitress was awesome. We ordered the ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese, and onion rings. Wow. The meat fell off the bone, the beans were the best I've ever had. Loved the spicy bbq sauce and the raspberry habenero was fantastic. If you ever pass through Altoona, Iowa, this is a must stop.“
