“Walking into this establishment almost felt like walking into a bar trying to be a restaurant. Very limited seating, so if this place catches on, there will be wait times. We sat in a booth, and the wait was about 7-8 minutes. Our waitress informed us they had a call in, so she was playing bartender to a full bar while waiting tables. My heart felt for her.We had a blue berry mule, which the drink menu is very mule heavy. The star of the show was the Sweet German. A drink that had drizzled chocolate in the glass and the tastiest drink inside.I had the Rahmschnitzel, which is like a tenderloin, only smothered in a gravy. It was delicious, as were the seasoned fries. She had the basic burger and thought it was delicious.I ordered a side of beer cheese and told the waitress, I didn't think it was beer cheese, but she insisted. What I had in my small cup was so thick it took 60 seconds to roll out. Still think it was mustard. Also, I never received my spatzel.I will attribute this to the short staffing, but for a new restaurant, you need to step the game up as your concept as real potential.“
“This bar is lost in time. I mean this in the most fantastic way. Jukebox by the pool table couple pinball games and amazing bar food. Like classic bar food, not the new age, frozen pizza, and hamburger patties bar food good Ole classic real made bar food.“
“The east side of the river really isn’t dirty anymore. It’s been gentrified with your typical cookie cutter businesses and people. I enjoyed my Saturday afternoon visit. The prices are typical with the area. The bartender was on point and it wasn’t to sticky. For me the ambience wasn’t what I expected. Numerous bachelorette parties and those people that ride that drinking wagon thing came and went. A privileged frat boy sorority girl feel but maybe it was just the day. Without the patio I don’t think I’d bother with the place and I wonder what happens in the winter 3/4s of their seating disappears. I’ll swing in again to enjoy a nice patio evening but maybe on a weekday instead.“
“BRE was phenomenal. We are from Omaha & don't know Des Moines. She handles a big crowd and makes everybody feel comfortable and handled. This is a cute bar with great music. Highly suggest to come here. The amazing bartender and service was just a plus!!! Would come again.“
“I was looking for a restaurant that wasn't in West Des Moines or Downtown Des Moines to celebrate my wife's birthday... just something different. We were blown away by the service, the environment, the food, and the overall vibe. The place is just fantastic, and we plan to return often.“
“Love Quinton's for the people and the servers that are always cracking jokes. Go to Trivia here a lot and have enjoyed it every time. If you're looking for a place with great drink deals and some food then this isn't a bad stop at all.“
“Yummy food! Friendly staff. It happened to be karaoke night. Had a great time. Ate lots of the 36th Street Corn Dip before we took a picture. I had the Honey Garlic Flatbread, and my husband had the Bedda Chedda Stuffed Cheeseburger. Everything came out on time and hot! Jamie was very nice.“
