“Driving home from Des Moines and needed a quick meal. Didn't want fast food, sandwich, drive through ? nothing seemed right. Stopped at maid-rite and BINGO... Perfect. Had a chili dog with cheese and onions, and house fries (real potatoes cut up). Great staff, great food! Thanks Maid-Rite ?“

“15 minutes before they had to turn off the grill and they still msde our order. A small chicken salad ? chicken strips and a Philly Steak. Everything was done in 13 minutes and they gave me a time of 15 minutes. So it was even done early, very friendly, clean and I have to say the food is amazing. Will be back again and the portion size and quality was five star ⭐ service. Thank you guys“
“Traveled from out of state for the drag races at Eddyville Raceway and found this gem of a restaurant called Melody's Kitchen. The minute we sat down at a table next to a husband, wife, and their mother, we felt welcomed. They told us all about the community. The wait staff was just as welcoming. Going on was a high school reunion with professional karaoke and people having fun. I had a jalepeno bacon cheeseburger that was outstanding. The french fries and buttermilk ranch dipping sauce was the best I have ever had. My friends had a bloody mary and philly cheesesteak. Everything was made from scratch and homemade. We were able to meet Melody and she even sent us back to the hotel with pork tenderloin and sides for the next day at the race track. Definitely a family vibe restaurant with the best homemade food. Thank you Melody and staff. We will be back next time we are in Eddyville.“
“I love the atmosphere, it’s a friendly local -everyone knows everyone, but with the bustle of a busy cafe. The food was good, the Pizza was GREAT. And they have…*drum roll please.. fountain DIET Mt. Dew! Be still my heart. I was stuck for 4 hours waiting to get my truck out of the ditch (Blizzard) so I waited at Tasos. They were so welcoming and kind. The beautiful hostess double and triple checked to see if I was ok or needed anything and that I had help coming. My waitress was amazing, she asked every so often if I wanted anything else. The last thing I ordered was pizza, I took have a large home; I should have ordered two.Kid-friendliness: Perfect place to bring your family.“
