“I am from out of town and picked up my nephew for a few errands. Once we were done, I asked where the best place for ice cream in Ottumwa is. He told me Rock N Roll Dairy Bar. I had never been there, so we tried it out. I got a turtle sundae, and it was amazing. I’m not really a vanilla fan, but I could get excited about a bowl of their vanilla ice cream. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in town again!“
“We were visiting family in Bloomfield - so we went to Ottumwa for lunch. I was impressed, FRESH burgers- thick, juicy. No potatoes available but I had a small potato salad. It was 4 of us and the bill was $50- I think is affordable. We like the staff, friendly. I also got a hug from a nice lady that was coming out of the restaurant when I was coming in. Complete stranger and definitely made me feel welcome in Iowa.“
“The ambiance gives off Backyard grill in the summer vibes, I came with a party of 9 so expectingly, Service took a bit but it was faster than I expected, and they were kind too, and the food, I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and it was big and meaty, and not tall big, Wide Big, I also got the Lava Cake and Ice Cream and it was melty and warm“

The BLT wrap is really good too. I went completely outside my comfort zone, tried something I’d never tried before and I will return 100%!“

“i visited for the first time this evening and it was absolutely lovely!! i ordered to-go but the lady i talked to was very sweet and the food was great!this was one of my first times going and grabbing food for myself at a restaurant and in my confusion i completely forgot to tip! (i also stole their copy of the receipt by mistake) ? i didn’t realize until after i had already left, but if my server happens to see this i am terribly sorry!! keep up the great work!!! i will leave double next time! ???“
“We occasionally stop for ice cream because it is so good here. They have good flavor options with all the toppings to choose from and good flavor of the day variety. The espresso toffee bar flavor of the day is sooo indulgent. I've also had their burger and fries. Very good flavor as well. Never have to wait very long to order or to get food.“

“Quickest order of over-easy eggs and hash browns I'd ever had. Parking is always decent with the shared lot between other surrounding businesses. Service was excellent and very pleasant. They touch back with customers frequently, which I appreciate greatly. I wish the burger was a bit bigger for the price. But I'll try something else next time. The yogurt muffins were great ?.“
“We were driving through town and I was looking for a place off 34 hiway. I saw the reviews and my wife and I tried it out. So, the first thing when we walked in my wife was amazed how clean the place was for a bar. We walked in after the lunch crowd around 1:30. They had a nice menu with a variety of apps, and sandwiches. Burgers they are famous for, as well as what we had was the tenderloin. It was large so we split it. It was very good with great french fry's. The bartender did a great job as the server. He was very friendly he made us feel welcome. So, if you are looking for a clean place that has good food for lunch or dinner this is the place for you. Enjoy!“
