“The whole experience from top to bottom is an absolute “SMASH”. The bar staff, and specifically Alyssa, are top shelf. She was fun, had a good knowledge of all the beers on tap, and was never too far when you needed a refill. I’d give em 10 stars if I could!“
“Pizza is awesome. And for pub food, very good!! Detailed on ingredients and sauces. Sometimes gets crazy if bartender is also cooking, but Service is always on. With a smile too. Great neighborhood place. And always a game to play, like cribbage or yatzee.“
“Place was packed. Had the atmosphere of your favorite neighborhood establishment. The waitress recommended we join a table with another gentleman, who turned out to be a regular patron, and we had a very pleasant visit w/him. Ordered the Bubba Burger and it was excellent; especially liked the flavor of the "Sully" sauce. If we are ever in the Des Moines area again, Sully's will definitely be on our must stop list.“

She was so efficient and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks and so friendly and welcoming while my husband and I were so unfamiliar with the menu. “Awesome food, awesome staff, and great location. The first time I came here I thought why is this restaurant out in the middle of nowhere? Now it’s becoming more developed around the area and it fits that gap for an area that is somewhat out the way. It’s the perfect place to stop on my way home after work. I like to stop for a beer or two while I wait for my take home Pizzas. Trust me if you like Fong’s pizza, you will really like this menu!“
“This is a fun little bar if you're headed to a concert at Val Air. It's full of regulars But we didn't feel judged as outsiders as we walked in. It's an old building with a dive bar feel But there are certain things that make it feel like someone really cares. For example the drinks like screwdrivers and greyhounds are made with fresh squeezed juice, the bartender rotates the glasses, and everyone has greeted as they walk in the door. The only downside is that it's a cash only bar and the ATM was down so we had to leave.“
