It's worth every penny to make memories with friends here!”

“One of the best Mediterranean food in Boise even the best! We had 2 plates: one is called Mushakal that includes chicken Shawarma, chicken taouk style (skewers) , hummus dip and salad! Second plate is called Ishtar which includes falafel, lamb kebab, chicken taouk, hummus dip and salad! Both were so delicious and both were served with rice spiced with Safran! Finally we had delicious baklava that was so tasty! I'm sure going back there! Very friendly owner and staff! Nice atmosphere! Fair prices! They have also a shop where you can buy Mediterranean grocery items, bread and other items! It is highly recommended!!!”

“Our son is a student at Boise state and we were here for the parents weekend! Our hotel breakfast was yucky. We googled a breakfast place and found Chefs Hut. We just had breakfast there this morning and it was SO GOOD!!! Our breakfast was mostly omelettes, coffee and orange juice. The best service and closest to home made meals! We highly recommend Chef Huts for breakfast but I am sure their brunch is just as good. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!. We also loved the fact that it was a family owned business! They both work daily in their restaurant; one is the chef and other is a waitress. You can definitely feel the family ownership! They sure have a good team in place!”

The special they had while we were there was a delicious hamburger. They have gluten and vegan options, not for everything, but options. Women's/W bathroom only has 2 stalls so there was a line at one point in the evening on a Thursday, but they were clean, functional and without foul smells. I'd definitely go back!”

“We came here one early morning after a terrible hotel stay and lack of sleep. The server we had was very nice. He was a bit on the quieter side but was amazing. It wasn’t too busy at the time and we got our food in a timely manner.

He was also kind and asked if our kid wanted the exact picture of the pancake displayed on her menu.

Establishment was clean and welcoming. Coffee was hot, it was an extremely freezing day that morning.”

“California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

All the staff that work here are amazing so far. I would say that they could definitely put more meat on the nachos but other than that pretty good.

Yesterday we placed a to go order at 3 pm and was told that it would not be ready to pick up until 7 pm, 4 hours later. That is not unusual and sometimes they stop on-line ordering several hours before closing. They either need more ovens, a better system or discontinue take out orders because on-line ordering for take out is very frustrating and annoying.”

Parking: Metered street parking is hard to find but paid garage parking is above the restaurant.”

“First time with Korean bbq. Good flavor combinations with rice mix, and pork. The rice, vegetabe blend and chicken was also very flavorful. Caution with sauces. Level 3, the heat starts. Slight tingle, very full on flavor. Rest of higher levels go warmer from there. Level one stays on sweeter side with mild flavor and no heat. My associate said level 1 was perfect for her spice sensitive tummy. Pot stickers rounded off meal with lots of filling and soy sauce dip topped it off.

“Came here with friends and family and overall it was a good experience. Food is usually good and you won't go bad with the majority of the menu. Just make sure to read the ingredients to make sure it's what you like. There is also a vegan menu if that's what floats your boat. My only disappointment is the food didn't seem to have the kick I was expecting. Maybe I missed seeing it on the menu of how spicy each pepper is but mine had two and seemed a bit lacking in the spice department. It tasted fine though.

We've been here a half dozen or more times and we'll probably come back in the future.

The boba is wonderful and what's great. is that a lot of the drinks that contain milk? you can substitute it without milk and use a alternative milk such as coconut or soy or almond milk. The boba itself is very soft, but my favorite is the crystal boa. it has a texture like aloe. Every time I come in I'm always read it with a smile and catch up with them from the past week. sometimes I'll have them pick out their favorite drink for me to try and everything on the milk. tea is a wonderful. The taro. they make it in house. my personal favorite is the winter melon with half sweetness the mochi waffle is to die for. I love the matcha one and get that every Sunday as well”

Parking: This is the middle of downtown Boise, so parking is difficult during the week, but it is very walkable/bikeable if you are somewhere downtown

Wheelchair accessibility: The building follows ADA regulations, but the floor layout does not allow ease of accessibility during peak times. This is probably the only negativity I have about this location”

That night I vomited 5 times throughout the entire night due to Ecole or salamona positioning. During the morning I had diarrhea and took a sick day all because of bad meat. “Maren saved this 1 star review, and changed it to a 5 star review! Our initial waitress was terrible. Was very curt with us. Never brought breadsticks, refilled our waters, and food was cooked wrong. Over all just wasn’t taken care of. The girl who ran our food, Maren, was outstanding. Got us our refills and our bread sticks. Along with taking my over cooked steak off our tab along with our appetizer just to make up for the lack of service. She went above and beyond. Got us a free dessert and a $25 gift card. It was my birthday dinner and she saved it! Thank you, Maren. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is important to you. If I knew the first servers name, I’d leave it in the review so people know what to expect when getting served by her. “Food was delicious. Burgers were full of flavor and fries were the perfect texture. Atmosphere between Wild Child and the brewery/coffee shop and ice cream was great for hanging out on the patio with friends.”

“First time with Korean bbq. Good flavor combinations with rice mix, and pork. The rice, vegetabe blend and chicken was also very flavorful. Caution with sauces. Level 3, the heat starts. Slight tingle, very full on flavor. Rest of higher levels go warmer from there. Level one stays on sweeter side with mild flavor and no heat. My associate said level 1 was perfect for her spice sensitive tummy. Pot stickers rounded off meal with lots of filling and soy sauce dip topped it off.

“Seriously one of the best restaurants in Boise. The food is excellent. I’m a vegetarian and that can make it tough to find places with more than a couple things to try. Not here—there’s an entire menu. Service was absolutely top notch. So friendly and attentive. It was my spouse’s birthday and they overheard and brought us dessert (which was also delicious). The interior is very nice…modern but cosy and unpretentious. Everything is perfect here…the ambiance, the service, and the food—just perfect.”

“So much bacon! It was lunch and there was a line. One of the servers came and took our drink order while we were in line. The line goes to the counter in back where you order. We sat at the bar. Especially good are their bacon bloody Mary's!”

“Overall, a nice coffee shop!

The atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. There are several tables and a couch to sit and enjoy your coffee.

My particular cup of coffee was good, but not great. I had a pour over, which I did appreciate as a choice!

I’d certainly come back for the atmosphere, the coffee shop has definite good vibes.”
