“The Modern Hotel is a true Boise spot, with one of the better, more unique, more high-end and innovative food and drink offerings, and also a great spot for events. With an indoor dining area, as well as an outdoor dining area with firepits, and where some musical and performance events are held, it is a cheerful spot, tucked away in downtown Boise, that you might not find out about for a few trips in.Absolutely worth a spot: Always check in on the drink specials, and soak up the great design, presentation, and friendly staff.“
“13th Street pub and grill is worth a visit if you are in Boise. It is family friendly. The server was attentive and available. Most of our food was on point. However, the French fries were overly salty, and Curry soup was heavy-handed on the curry, which concealed the other flavors of the Curry soup. I would highly recommend the black and blue burger and the Cod and chips. For 5 of us, the bill was under $120 before tip. Consider the burger was Wagyu beef, and the salmon was fresh. Try the sweet potato fries.A draft beer is $6 and an old fashion is $13 if you want an adult beverage.“
“The food and service we topnotch, their mixed cocktails and fried cheese appetizers are out of this world. It cost no where near the quality of food and services. In utah our meal would have been over 100 dollars. Here was less than 60.00“
“We were seated promptly, the waitress greeted us & informed us of a special (sea bass, which I ordered), took our order in a timely fashion & our food was delivered fairly quickly. My food was excellent and my partner enjoyed her meal as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the bill; I thought the meal was a good value.“
“The food was an incredible quality for the pretty low prices, filling enough for a breakfast or lunch. The cinnamon roll was the highlight, it was twice the size as Cinnabon, still warm. Service was that of a slightly higher end fast food place, however there’s little room to really improve the way it’s set up. Atmosphere was pretty bland, the outdoor deck being the tallest rooftop restaurant in Boise with its views made up for the atmosphere.“
“St Lawrence is one of my five go-to dependable restaurants in Boise. They have amazing smoked meats and sides. I can eat there five times a week and have different food each time and all of it is spot on. Try the brisket, the ribs, and any of the sandwiches. Their Mac and cheese is very good as well“
“Happy Hour was great for a Sunday afternoon! We are looking at the stadium from the bar. The 2 bartenders, Anthony and Lindsey were so much fun to chat with and we loved our Cobblers Mule and The James cocktail. Chris the manager was very nice and was well connected to the servers, customers and tables around happy hour. Gen (Jen) and Bre were also very kind servers. They were very attentive to all the tables.“
“The main reason we came in was to check out the cocktails as Boise is a bit limited in that area. We're glad we did! Open air seating available in summer. We had a few food items at happy hour and the food was quite tasty. Derick behind the bar was a great bartender and made us great cocktails. We'll definitely be back. We recommend checking out their happy hour.“
“All around great place for food and drink. They just updated their menu last week with some new options. The gumbo was good, just not Cajun style as one would expect. More like a chicken noodle stew. A bit disappointed thar the cauliflower appetizer was removed. Brussels are very good.“
“I wanted to try everything on the menu! Alas, I could not, but everything I did try was delicious, including the spicy tuna maki, Japanese tacos, crab cake tacos and the Optimus Prime rib philly. I've had the portobello sandwich at a work function and it is truly difficult to nail a portobello sandwhich when dining out. It's honestly the whole reason I went to the location in the first place. They had live music (Michaela Stutz French) that didn't interfere with my dinner, but gave a 11/10 ambience. The bartender was incredibly attentive and the whole vibe was just exactly what the doctor ordered. Thank you! We will definitely be coming back and with friends sometime.“
“First time there today. We were so impressed. Staff was wonderful. Best fried shrimp I have ever had. Killer good balsamic salad dressing. I can't wait to go back and try the fingersteaks. edit:. went back and the Fingersteaks we're great.i found out you can order the Fingersteaks and add the shrimp as extra add on so you can have surf and turf.“
“Delicious food with excellent service and great prices. Great place for a date or a group. Save room for dessert.Parking: Right next to the parking garage.Kid-friendliness: Kids could go, but it's a nice place, and it's possibly a lil boring for kids. Older children no problem.“
“Second time visiting Twin Peaks, conveniently located right next-door to a hotel that I've stayed at a few times. It's pretty much a sports bar with too many TV's to count (guessing 30+) and "mountain theme" with a combination nod to an iconic TV show and another famous Florida based restaurant featuring scantily clothed servers. The food is typical American bar mix, priced fairly well for dining out at a full service place, and tastes good overall. Lots of great beer on tap to satisfy any beer snob...and super cold. Shout out to the kitchen for transforming a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich into a French Dip that I was craving. Although it's a pretty good value based on price, quality, fast and friendly service, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. And frankly, I think the "uniforms" of the servers are not necessary. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm staying at the hotel next door in the future.“
“The other night a man was being very rude to the employees because he got pickles on his sandwich and didn’t want any. Said he was utterly disgusted and wanted to vomit, completely lost his appetite, and threw away his sandwich. Loudly and publicly shamed them & was very over the top. Just want to say to the staff that that guy was a piece of work and they did a great job dealing with him and taking it in stride. Also my sandwich was awesome. <3 thanks guys!!“
“Great little spot!! Delicious tastings from around the world. I was impressed by their foreign wines. It is a bit pricey for a medium glass of high end wine, but everything I've ever drank here tasted fresh and unspoiled, which is crucial when dealing with uncorked wine. Restaurant staff is super friendly and fast!! Good vibes and private atmosphere with the high back couches. Food was just meh, I wouldn't recommend the Shoyu Ramen.“
“I recently had a delightful meal at The Lively. The food was absolutely fantastic! The dishes were beautifully prepared, and the flavors were outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the Swardfish, which was rich in flavor and balanced. However, I do have a small piece of feedback regarding the service. While the staff were friendly and attentive, they seemed a little over-eager at times. Plates were cleared quite quickly, even when one guest was still eating. Additionally, we were frequently asked if everything was alright, which felt slightly disruptive to the conversation. It would be fantastic if the service could strike a balance between attentive and allowing guests to enjoy their meal at their own pace.Overall, I had a very positive experience at The Lively and would definitely recommend it for the amazing food. With a slight adjustment to the service style, I believe it could be an even more enjoyable experience for everyone.“
“Huckleberry in all the things. Amazing food and milkshakes. 100% Boise tradition I'd take over In N Out any day. Going there always makes my dad tell the story to the drive through attendant that he used to come there every time growing up after baseball practice. “
