“The burger was tasty, but extremely salty, so we're the fries. You have to pay $1 extra if you want tomato and lettuce on your burger, which I consider pretty steep. There is no real atmosphere in the establishment itself but when it's warmer out, they open their walls up and share space with the courtyard, which has a nice vibe with a bonfire.“
“One of my favorite places! I hate to "publicize" this small, homey diner because, at peak times, you will have to wait for a seat. It's the sort of place where the staff knows your name and remembers your "usual". The Avocado Eggs Benedict is my usual but my friend loves the HUGE omelets. Coffee comes in a large mug and is refilled often. Tucked into a business center, it is my go-to place for meeting up with friends.“
“Definitely would come back for more of their food and libations. They had their own brews but also offered others as well as cider and draft/canned cocktails and wine. All the food was excellent and would order again. Mexi loaded fries, fried chicken sandwich, and the poblano burger were awesome! Will be back.“
“Huckleberry in all the things. Amazing food and milkshakes. 100% Boise tradition I'd take over In N Out any day. Going there always makes my dad tell the story to the drive through attendant that he used to come there every time growing up after baseball practice. “
“The food and service we topnotch, their mixed cocktails and fried cheese appetizers are out of this world. It cost no where near the quality of food and services. In utah our meal would have been over 100 dollars. Here was less than 60.00“
“Had one of the best Reuben's I have had in a very long time. It was huge with a large portion of fries. No way I would have been able to eat more than half of it if it had been made anywhere else I've had one recently. But I left super stuffed because I devoured every last crumb. Yum mmmm. Now I want another.“
“I don't even recall when I first stayed at this hotel, maybe 2012. I've been back many many times since. The Modern is always the first and/or last stop of my ski season travels. Coming or going, you will find me enjoying a cocktail at the modern bar after a long drive. Given its tiny size and location in a boutique hotel far enough off the main drag to be inconvenient, it's always packed. Kind of the place to be seen in Boise. The drinks are awesome and the food is excellent. If you're a guest of the hotel, their complimentary breakfast is superb ... How many places have you stayed where a bacon fritatta is a breakfast choice? None, that's how many.“
“13th Street pub and grill is worth a visit if you are in Boise. It is family friendly. The server was attentive and available. Most of our food was on point. However, the French fries were overly salty, and Curry soup was heavy-handed on the curry, which concealed the other flavors of the Curry soup. I would highly recommend the black and blue burger and the Cod and chips. For 5 of us, the bill was under $120 before tip. Consider the burger was Wagyu beef, and the salmon was fresh. Try the sweet potato fries.A draft beer is $6 and an old fashion is $13 if you want an adult beverage.“
“Absolutely fantastic breakfast experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a delightful morning meal. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to every taste bud. Each dish was impeccably prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, bursting with flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. We left feeling fully satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommend this gem of a breakfast spot for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience!“
“Classic American dine and drive in had really good food and shakes for a decent price. This place gets very busy during peak hours and was approved by Guy Fieri on his show. Portions are very large. Outdoor seating was okay nothing too special. The shakes were the best part and they have an absurd amount of flavors available.“
“This place has been here for a long time and part of boise history. Great food. My favorite is the homemade cheese sauce. And I dip it with sourdough bread or wheat bread and idk maybe I'm a little crazy but if you try it you will fall in love. Also the lady's are always fun to mess around with and usually playful and great company throughout your experience whether your alone or with family. If coming alone they have a bar top usually no wait. Then the have seating in two spots for a group of 5 average sized adult menOr 7 women. Hope this helps also before 9am is ?“
“We has a wonderful Easter lunch. Food was great and so was the service. Very friendly waiter and waitress that served us.We ordered the family meal. There were 5 of us and we took home enough meat for both households to have another meal.Sides could have been larger as we had none of those leftover. But that might be because the bean's and Mac n cheese were wonderful also.We will be visiting them again.“
“We went here for breakfast for our daughters birthday. The waitress was extremely patient and kind. She treated our daughter so well. She gave her a birthday crepe and had her blow out the candle as we were leaving (packaged it in a to go box.) Our daughter left so happy and happy to have her "breakfast birthday cake." We will definitely have to come back here again.Kid-friendliness: They were great with our children.“
“Goldy's has been my choice for an unquestionably great breakfast in Boise for nearly 30 years. I know I will never be disappointed, so when I am not looking to be adventurous and want certainty of high-quality food with pleasant service, this is my choice. This is not a greasy spoon breakfast diner so you will spend some money, but in my experience, you will not be disappointed. The combination breakfasts are a great choice (get the Goldy's Special Potatoes), their specials are always interesting and delicious, the coffee is hot and quickly refilled, and the atmosphere is inviting and happy. Go early on a weekend or be ready for a significant wait.“
“The food was GREAT, other than the Crab Rangoon, very overcooked, very little filling inside, we were very disappointed with our appetizer. I wish our server would have noticed how over cooked they were & had them fixed before serving to us. Our meals were FANTASTIC! Great flavors! Will definitely return.“
“We were seated promptly, the waitress greeted us & informed us of a special (sea bass, which I ordered), took our order in a timely fashion & our food was delivered fairly quickly. My food was excellent and my partner enjoyed her meal as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the bill; I thought the meal was a good value.“
“I called to see if these guys delivered, they do not, I asked if they had anyone in town that did and there is no one. BUT just so happened that someone was leaving and able to deliver to my husband who is stuck working on a job site and hadn’t eaten all day. (I live over an hour away and couldn’t bring him food) Customer service: 16/10 - Shout out to Jonathon and Tyler for going above and beyond for my husband. If you’re ever in Hidden Springs, Springhouse at the Merc should be your first stop! Also, the hubby was VERY grateful and said the food was amazing!!“
“BACON is my favorite breakfast spot in Boise. I’ve never liked paying for breakfast food. It’s all so simple and easy to prepare. Other diners are all pretty much the same but Bacon steps it up.Who knew you could make Bacon better than bacon? BACON did. I’ve had nearly everything on the menu and it’s all been great. On my shortlist of Boise favorites.“
“Enjoyed Valentine's Day dinner fixed price meal. Creative menu and selections were delicious. Particularly loved the scallops and risotto dish! Waiter was very good but kitchen got a little behind, nothing unusual for a holiday meal as restaurant was packed. A worthwhile experience overall!“
“Visited twice this week for my birthday week. Love their steaks! Had the filet and the ny strip. Strawberry pecan salad and broccoli. Wild west shrimp appetizer one trip and chocolate stampede cake the other. Absolutely no complaints, steaks cooked to medium perfectly each time, fresh salads and buttery crisp broccoli. I'll be back next year to celebrate again!“
“My husband and I really enjoy coming here with friends. We have done the private axe throwing option twice. I highly recommend it. You get a guide who shows you how to play, and keeps score so you can focus on just having fun! The food was delicious. I did knock off one star because service took awhile, and we had ordered one thing and just never got it.“
“All around great place for food and drink. They just updated their menu last week with some new options. The gumbo was good, just not Cajun style as one would expect. More like a chicken noodle stew. A bit disappointed thar the cauliflower appetizer was removed. Brussels are very good.“
“St Lawrence is one of my five go-to dependable restaurants in Boise. They have amazing smoked meats and sides. I can eat there five times a week and have different food each time and all of it is spot on. Try the brisket, the ribs, and any of the sandwiches. Their Mac and cheese is very good as well“
“The food was an incredible quality for the pretty low prices, filling enough for a breakfast or lunch. The cinnamon roll was the highlight, it was twice the size as Cinnabon, still warm. Service was that of a slightly higher end fast food place, however there’s little room to really improve the way it’s set up. Atmosphere was pretty bland, the outdoor deck being the tallest rooftop restaurant in Boise with its views made up for the atmosphere.“
“I have always enjoyed Double Tap, but it has improved so much over the last year! The food is better, the staff is awesome and it's become one of my go-to places. During a recent family dinner, my 10-year-old accidentally left her retainer in a napkin on the table. We called and told our server, Akayla, who said the table had already been cleared. However, she took our number and, incredibly, called us back shortly after to say she had found it—she even searched in the garbage! That's the definition of above and beyond.“
“Fun popular place. We hadn't heard of it before & decided to check it out. Friendly service, the food came quickly, especially since they were packed. Our food was tasty. Our party enjoyed the carnitas tacos, sweet chili wings & the pretzel. The fiesta chicken salad was tasty as well, and a decent beer selection is always a plus.Kid-friendliness: They serve food so kids are welcome. My son was the only kid in there & it wasn't an issue at all. Friendly staff & customers.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully packed Friday night. It's a seat yourself establishment & was packed. I was Leary, but the staff was on it & so were the customers. The waitress was looking for options & a party of 4 was finishing up & offered their table, our friends were already in the back though so we squeaked through & Had a great night. ?“
“Happy Hour was great for a Sunday afternoon! We are looking at the stadium from the bar. The 2 bartenders, Anthony and Lindsey were so much fun to chat with and we loved our Cobblers Mule and The James cocktail. Chris the manager was very nice and was well connected to the servers, customers and tables around happy hour. Gen (Jen) and Bre were also very kind servers. They were very attentive to all the tables.“
“My first time in today… Some of the best food I’ve had in a while, the sweet and spicy wings were also the best wings I’ve ever had, they topped buffalo and wingstop! I will be coming here A LOT MORE to try out some of they’re other menu items! 6 STAR!“
“They have a food truck outside. The burger was juicy and tasty. The fries were crispy. Service was perfect, friendly and quick. The bartender Jackie was awesome, supportive and made my favorite drink without a question. Will absolutely be visiting again“
“Our waitress was very friendly and efficient on Jan. 30th, 2024. Our meals were brought out in a timely manner. The food was warm and appetizing. I always enjoy your gift shop. I purchased a valentine's sweater and a pair of summer pajamas. Cracker Barrel is our favorite restaurant. My husband likes to kid me about ordering a vegetable plate almost every time. Carol Gorman Garden Valley, ID“
“One of my favorite downtown spots. They have a great beer selection and a variety of excellent food. I specifically love their poutine options and their house fry sauce. It's so delicious!Vegetarian options: They have their own veggie patty that can be subbed on their other Burger offerings. They also have some mouthwatering poutine!“
“The meat! Pork belly is succulent. Ground brisket is premium beef. The place! Queens Trailer is a perfect match for Payette Brewery, completing the outdoor seating.Kid-friendliness: Payette Brewing outdoor is shaded and spacious… with corn hole and other games… kids love it!Wheelchair accessibility: On the level with the paved parking. Close to reserved parking spots“
“The oldest brewery in Boise. Nice little place on Bogus Basin Road. Good ski and antique decor. Good beer selection, my brown ale was tasty.I ordered the 1/2 Reuben, which was a good choice for $9. Comes with a large portion of fries. The fries were okay, not a fan of the limpy style though. Salad or soup are also side choices. Plenty of meat and kraut on the sandwich.Liam took great care of us. Definitely worth a visit.“

“I have had burgers in just about every state in the US, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada.... this was hands down the BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD in my life. we ordered the Hangover with some added fig jam and it was Devine! The sweetest of the jam paired perfectly with the saltiness of the burger, egg, and bacon. Ahhhhhmazing! We have had the fries and tots as well, very good! Staff is always excellent and environment is lovely and cozy. Highly recommend.“
“I was recommended this coffee house while looking to meet someone for an interview. The location was easy to get to. Ample parking near Java. It has a comfortable interior atmosphere and the staff were friendly. I only had coffee, but the food they were serving looked good.“
“My hubs and I got married at the courthouse, and we went to the Reef following the ceremony for a celebratory lunch - 18 years ago. A couple of kids later, we haven't had an opportunity to go back until recently. Nice to know it hasn't changed and brings back good memories. The place was hoppin' and packed with St. Patty's Day peeps but the servers killed it. Delicious as I remembered.“
“Went there and had some great drinks late night yesterday. Solid place to round out the night and chill out, plus their kitchen was open late and that's always a plus. Shout-out to Sam for being a cool waitress, and being very friendly to myself and my very drunk friends.“
“We had the tomato bisque and grilled cheese fondue which was super fun and tasty! It’s a good idea that I will even start recreating at home as it’s pretty simple and hard not to like! The Frose was very cute and a different take on this fun drink. It was Prosecco poured over an ice cube with loads of frozen berries. They were not stingy on the berries which I loved! For our main we had the Idaho rainbow trout and added 5 grilled shrimp and buttered mash! It was everything I wanted it to be and was super satisfying and felt nourishing! The beer braised kale was an interesting addition to this dish! The server was lovely and was super accommodating to the substitutes… just happy to make us happy! The atmosphere was not as unique as I was expecting from the pictures/reviews and we got put in a quiet corner. I think id eat at the bar/counter next time as that’s probably the best area for ambience!“
“I wanted to try everything on the menu! Alas, I could not, but everything I did try was delicious, including the spicy tuna maki, Japanese tacos, crab cake tacos and the Optimus Prime rib philly. I've had the portobello sandwich at a work function and it is truly difficult to nail a portobello sandwhich when dining out. It's honestly the whole reason I went to the location in the first place. They had live music (Michaela Stutz French) that didn't interfere with my dinner, but gave a 11/10 ambience. The bartender was incredibly attentive and the whole vibe was just exactly what the doctor ordered. Thank you! We will definitely be coming back and with friends sometime.“
“This Bad Boy location on Federal Way is AWESOME! The food is always good and the service is impeccable. These reviews are not accurate. We have eaten here at least 20+ times and have never had bad food or service. I urge you to go and try it out for yourself you won’t be disappointed. Finally a burger place that is not a cheap, gross franchise. Support your local business!!“
“Big Juds has the best steak fingers in Boise! Truly the gold standard. Their fries are meh, unsalted and mushy. Burgers are great! I was recently in the Big Juds on Protest and the employees were talking disparagingly about customers loud enough I could clearly make out the conversation seated in the back. That definitely was unprofessional and detracted from our experience.“
“First time there today. We were so impressed. Staff was wonderful. Best fried shrimp I have ever had. Killer good balsamic salad dressing. I can't wait to go back and try the fingersteaks. edit:. went back and the Fingersteaks we're great.i found out you can order the Fingersteaks and add the shrimp as extra add on so you can have surf and turf.“
“we had a little party with our friends (a little under 30 people) and the staff were amazing and so accommodating! unlike other venues, they did not charge us for the space rented so we only had to pay for what we ate and drank as well as gratuity. they went above and beyond to make sure our party was well taken care of. they had multiple servers dedicated to our party and everyone had a great time. while the space isn’t private or closed off, we felt the atmosphere was great and didn’t even notice we weren’t in a private area. Joe, the manager, stopped by and introduced himself when we arrived which was a great touch! I 1000% would recommend having any little get together here. we will for sure be hosting future events at edge!“
“The other night a man was being very rude to the employees because he got pickles on his sandwich and didn’t want any. Said he was utterly disgusted and wanted to vomit, completely lost his appetite, and threw away his sandwich. Loudly and publicly shamed them & was very over the top. Just want to say to the staff that that guy was a piece of work and they did a great job dealing with him and taking it in stride. Also my sandwich was awesome. <3 thanks guys!!“
“18$ for a burger and fries seemed steep until my food came, huge portions! I could only eat half the burger , and it was delicious and fresh. Parking was available outside the front door too. Great service, I will definitely return! The nachos were huge! And my burger was worth the price.“
“Food quality is excellent, everything we tried was super tasty and creative. Beer was really solid too. Love the decor and the welcoming atmosphere, the owners were incredibly nice and fun to chat with. We are so excited to have a brewery like this on our side of town! Definitely recommend.“
“Pros- I was greeted right away for my take-out order and noticed that the interior was clean and they were doing a good amount of business. The hostess staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was quoted 20 minutes from my order, which was totally fine as I was not in a rush, and I could see they were busy. I was quite surprised when my food was ready just 13 minutes later! Getting the food home, it was quite delicious and a good-sized portion. I had the French dip sandwich with au jus and a side Caesar salad. The meat was tender and ample. I appreciate that the salad dressing was in a separate cup, so as not the salad before I got home..Cons- When signing for my bill, the manager gave me a pen that did not have the center part with the ink. It was just a hollow plastic tube, but it did have a security chain attached to the counter. Apparently, that was the only pen available at the front counter, and while they were scrambling trying to find a pen, I decided to use my own. There was an employee who was not a hostess, who was just standing up at the front counter the entire time of my visit. I'm not sure if she was supposed to be working, but if she was not clocked in yet, maybe she could be out of the public way. I looked inside of the paper bag, and notice that the Caesar box was open, so I closed it, and there was a larger box with my sandwich and a small cup with the au jus dip. Unfortunately, the lid on the cup was not secured or taped down and came open during my drive, soaking the au jus through the bottom of the paper bag and into my cloth passenger seat. I suppose I will be smelling that for months to come. No napkins nor utensils were provided. Note that there is very little parking close to the building, so you will be walking around the back to the front door.“
“Second time visiting Twin Peaks, conveniently located right next-door to a hotel that I've stayed at a few times. It's pretty much a sports bar with too many TV's to count (guessing 30+) and "mountain theme" with a combination nod to an iconic TV show and another famous Florida based restaurant featuring scantily clothed servers. The food is typical American bar mix, priced fairly well for dining out at a full service place, and tastes good overall. Lots of great beer on tap to satisfy any beer snob...and super cold. Shout out to the kitchen for transforming a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich into a French Dip that I was craving. Although it's a pretty good value based on price, quality, fast and friendly service, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. And frankly, I think the "uniforms" of the servers are not necessary. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm staying at the hotel next door in the future.“
“We came by for lunch before hitting the alleys at Emerald Lanes. The food here is super affordable overall. All of our sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The service was very fast as well. After your meal, make sure to browse the store for unique drinks, candy, and more. Skip the bowling alley fried foods and come here, you won't regret it.Vegetarian options: Veggie sandwiches are available for order.“
