“Celebrated a friend’s birthday and the evening could not have been better! Our server, Rose did a fabulous job. 4 out of 5 of us had never dined here before and Rose was so helpful with her recommendations from the menu. We started with a couple appetizers, toasted artichoke hearts and stuffed mushrooms. Both apps were very good. My pepperloin with a side of blue cheese and bacon potatoes was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. Tony’s is a great place for a special occasion or a date night. We will definitely be back!”

“This is a perfect good ol'tavern. Exactly what I like if I go to have a drink. Bartender s are great, atmosphere is fun and friendly, it's a cheers for the motorcycle club and friends. Always a good time. Sam and Woody are not serving you it Missy, Michelle, or as they call Cheyenne " the new girl" you can't go wrong with any of the three. And if you are lucky enough to run into Elliot or some other regular faces, you have a great day ahead!”

Most places like this the workers don't interact an check on the customers... She greeted me checked my identification then ask if I'd like a drink very friendly then wished me luck. After that checked on me here and there but wasn't bothersome.. I had great time...”

“Maeva’s has been my daily driver for just over four years now. Their seasonal drink selection is always delicious yet complex. Their house roasted coffee is to die for so pick up a bag for your mornings at home. Their baked goods and soups are delicious and the portions are great for the price. If you’ve never visited this hidden gem, I highly recommend you do it asap!”

“Good donuts usually good service. Last visit we were the only customer at 430p on a Friday. Girl was in a hurry to get us out and they were mostly out of donuts ( I was getting them after work for Saturday morning work). Iced long John’s were icing down in the bottom of the box and donuts I asked for in addition to the dozen for work weren’t in the bag or the box. Like I said great donuts and hopefully next time it’ll be a better experience.”

“my 4yr old grandson and I go there as often as we can. Great service and great food. Definitely beats McDonald's were he usually wants to go. He eats biscuits and gravy sausage links and fried potatoes there. when before we went there he wouldn't eat anything but McDonald's. so glad to have this place to go to. Plus like I said super friendly place with awesome service”

“We came in today and had lunch. We were able to bring our dog in and they even had water/food bowls, and even had “pup cups” that were actual food! My girl LOVED it! The bartender and the girl who made our food were DELIGHTFUL to say the least. They provided a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and isn’t normal food truck food you’d find at a carnival. They had stuff for kids to play with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, they also advertised their trivia night, and when they do live music. My husband got to sample of new beers and he NEVER strays from a Budweiser. He really enjoyed what beer he ordered. It was a LITTLE on the pricier side but with the experience we had today, we’ll pay it every time. We raved about this place the whole way home. We will DEFINITELY be back!”

“Sammi’s creates and delivers some of the best tasting sandwiches that you’ll ever have. Treat yourself today or any day for that matter. The staff is great and you’ll will not leave hungry with the way they pile the meat on their sandwiches. There is NO CUTTING CORNERS at Sammi’s. Scott Yarbrough, owner of Sammy sandwiches, is also one of the best corporate citizens that the Riverbend has and it has many. Do yourself a favor and stop in if it’s your first time you won’t be disappointed and if you’ve been there many times, stop back in and say hello and pick up some grub.”

“I wish I could say something good about today's visit to Castelli's... ●Always a highlight when we want to go out to dinner and drive the hour it takes to get there... Their fried chicken has always been a delight to look forward to... But today's experience was a big disappointment... The chicken prices have gone up and the chicken piece sizes have gone down... The dark chicken pieces I received were Lilliputian in size... I thought a mistake had been made, for when I saw my drumstick, I thought they were part of a wing.... I asked the waitress ( More on her later) about the small size and she agreed it was small and she would bring me 2 more.... I had finished with my meal by the time the extra drumsticks arrived, so I took them home.... The drum sticks that I took home were no bigger than the ones I was served at the restaurant... Once home, I measured the drumsticks and they were each less than 4 inches long ... The service was very sub par.... Never were we asked for our water to be refilled.... And not until the end of the meal did she ask to refill our other beverages... Like I said, Very disappointed today... It will be awhile before I darken their door again....”

“First time here. So glad we stopped. It was Fish Fryday! The fries were crispy, the hush puppies were crunchy and sweet and the fish.... THE FISH WAS AMAZING! The batter was crispy and didn't taste burnt (huge deal to me) and the fish was fully cooked and still moist and flaky.

“Chubby's grill and garage is a wonderful place to grab a big juicy burger, fries, and appetizers. Great food specials weekly, as well as drink specials. It is family friendly. The staff are all super friendly people. The owner is a stand up guy, and you can tell he really cares about his customers and he treats his employees with love and respect like any great owner would. I would HIGHLY reccomend this place to ANYONE looking to have some great food, drinks, and fun. The hours are 11am to 11pm, kitchen is 11am to 10pm. this place is an absolute gem 💎.”

“Me and my wife were wanting to try something new in Alton and a bartender from Rajun Cajun suggested Don & Penny's. Not sure about all the other food but we tried the Dill pickle bacon wrapped bombs, the Cajun chicken Alfredo and the steak and mushrooms Alfredo. All was delicious. The wife would not leave my Cajun pasta alone. If you get a chance, definitely try Don & Penny's.”

“Hong Kong House - How Happy I am to have you opened again! The ONLY Chinese Restaurant in the Alton area that serves REAL Chinese Veggies in their meals - NOT frozen peas, carrots, & corn. I ordered the Veggie Fried Rice - served with thinly sliced carrots, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn, and bamboo shoots just to name a few. We also had Hunan Chicken Combo Plate with Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon - Yummy. Again lots or real fresh veggies without being over loaded with huge chunks of onion. Love Love Love the food here”

“I've stopped in here a few times since I live just down the road from it. The times I've gone in, it wasn't too busy, but they tell me they have a good time on a Saturday night. It's really not your best bet if you want food. They serve your basic frozen pizzas and the like, but nothing remarkable. Sammi's Subs, next door, is another story though. EXCELLENT sandwiches (but they aren't open late). Like another reviewer said, I think Norb's is a great dive-bar with some pool tables and darts. Probably the most fun if you bring a friend or two, and preferably ones who like to play pool or darts. I believe they were cash only at the bar, and they didn't really have a lot of drink specials when I went. So bring cash.”

“China King is my favorite Chinese food in this area. Especially if you are a crab rangoon fan like myself, THEE best around here! They are quick and efficient. Not somewhere I would sit and eat but great for take out. Veggie St Paul, veggie lo mein, fried dumplings, egg rolls, general tso's are all good. They even sell some quality natural care products like lotion, tooth paste, and face masks. My last fortune cookie from there had 4 fortunes in it! Made me feel pretty lucky!
