“I have been going here for a few years now. I Wasn't one for doing reviews, but I decided I will start with the places that are exceptional. Scooby is small inside, but everything about the food is worth it. The fries are amazing, once I tried the ribs I had them straight for the next 5 times I went in there. Pete the owner cuts the ribs in individual pieces then puts them on the grill to crisp them up, OMG fire! I am also addicted to the strawberry shake.“
“Was in the area and had to make a stop back to Mochinut. The flavors this week looked really good. I love the texture and chewiness of these donuts. They are light and not overly sweet. We enjoyed the original glazed and churro at the store. My sister was expecting the glazed to be a sugar rush. But to her surprise it wasn't too sweet, but perfect! She had her first mochiball and loved the strawberry filling. Great little after noon treat to enjoy with hot tea on this frigid cold weekend!“
“As busy as it is, this Portillo’s is a classic. Fresh food, great employees & affordable prices. I deliver for Ubereats from here too when I’m in the area, and sometimes when an order has something that seems really good I go back and order it myself. I’m always impressed. I hope this franchise stays around for a while, and based off the drive thru and foot traffic, I’m sure I’m correct on this one.“
“Juiciest burger in Illinois! I've never been to Au Cheval, but several people have told me that paradise pups burger tops Cheval. The bun is tasty, patties are fresh, and the sauce is out of this world. Parking is a bit cramped and be prepared to wait but these burgers are WORTH IT!“
“Flew from Reno to Chicago to see my son play lacrosse in the Milwaukee area. Had to stay in Chicago over night due to problems with our rental car. Happen to stay right next to Frannie"s Beef. So glad we stopped for a Italian beef and sausage combo sandwich. I have been craving a good italian beef sandwich since my last trip to Chicago. This place is an icon. Definitely will be stopping here again.“
“Yummy! I was on a quest to find a true chicago style hotdog i and this place delivered! I always forget to take a picture before digging in! The hotdog was spot on! It was my first time there, so I ordered a cheeseburger and cheese fries to test out too! Everything was absolutely delicious! The owner was super nice and cool! Definitely be back for more!“
“Kong Dog is a unique take on a hot dog and very creative. We had the Cheetos and Potatoes half and half dog. Both were fresh, tasted good and had incredible cheese pull from the cheese portion. It is certainly a speciality kind of a place rather than a quick stop in for a "regular" meal however.“
“Try either of the hot dogs. My favorite was the Whoopskidawg. My husband liked the Superdawg better. Great place for trying authentic Chicago food and the history is great and atmosphere was so fun! We tried 2 types of beer also and they were very good with the dogs. Oh and a chocolate malt for dessert was nice to take on a walk by the river behind the restaurant.“
“It's been awhile since I've been in the area. Had to stop out. Layout is the same. The place remains under the same owner as far back as I can remember. Staff is very friendly. The food is delivered quickly, the portions are above average in size, and they even do stuff like serve full pickle spears instead of cheap thin slices. Overall a solid entry into a pretty competitive market (Lake Zurich). I'll be back soon.“
“Absolute banger. The Italian ice was to die for, the watermelon one was so good it made crave more by the end of it.The beef was perfectly wet and the peppers were just right.The only reason I didn’t make it five stars was that the beef was missing cheese. If that was on it, it would’ve been perfect.“
