“No notes! So dang good! Add the bacon and egg to your burger (single) and you won’t be disappointed but you will be stuffed. Their Paloma is also very delicious! Long wait (1hr for 1 person) but I would wait even longer and there is a lot to do in the area so it was nice to just walk around.“

“Some of the best steak I've ever had. The wagyu tartare was good, if a little mayo heavy. They really like bbq chips and chimichurri sauceIt tasted good but was abit heavy handed. The gin cocktail was amazing and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and accommodating.“
“Amazing outing the vibes in here were amazing. There was amazing music and the staff was so courteous. When we sat at the bar our orders were immediately taken and made well. There were a few snacks behind the bar for purchase but we did not see a menu for food.“

“I'm a sucker for Heritage's Happy Hour Oyster for a while so had to circle back for the restaurant week. The whole experience was giving East meets West as it covers a good range of dishes/inspired cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised with how each courses was planned out, with very balanced flavor combinations, leaving me full but not uncomfortably stuffed. My favorite we're definitely the tuna crudo, braised beef and fiancier, hopefully that make the official menu one day. Overall great experience and the downstairs speakeasy space makes it so fun to eat and catch up.“

“As a food hall, the choices were pretty good, while the interior was just okay (nothing like Revival Food Hall with its unique signage and seating for every stall). We ordered the feta encrusted with sesame and honey, which was incredible! Other choices were pretty standard.“

“Absolutely excellent bar, amazing staff who are calm, kind, and knowledgeable. The entire environment is intentional and high quality. We sat at the bar and got to see the drinks being prepared which was a great experience. Have heard good things about the food though we didn’t try any this time. The drinks are INCREDIBLE. This is a MUST GO in Chicago. We made a mistake with our reservation and they were kind enough to still put us on the waiting list and we were able to include this in our trip. Very grateful and will come again!“

“Was sent here to enjoy a drink while we waited for our table nextdoor from the owner Armando at La Scarola. Despite not being a smoker, there was nostalgia around enjoying a drink in the smokey Cheers inspired ambience. A bartender even put on Svengoolie which just wrapped it all together. I enjoyed a Limoncello and my date a whiskey neat. Enjoying a little taste of old school Chicago wasn't originally planned but definitely appreciated!“

“It was cool. Met some friends on St. Paddy's Day for a happy hour drink. My beer was $6, and her ranch water was $9 (not sure what the happy hour special was), but it was a one and done with no issues. It's super dark inside even on a bright day, so if you are a day drinker, this might be your vibe. Not so much for me.“

“I LOVE going to Ositos. It’s the perfect spot for brunch, dinner, or just for a drink to catch up with a friend. I have never been disappointed with food or drinks here! I highly recommend the quesaditzin (entree) and Palomaso (cocktail). Seriously the quesaditzin is so good, I crave It all the time!!!! Also, parking lot in the back is easy to miss, but it’s free! Lastly, the staff has always been so friendly!“
“Great beer, board games available and atmosphere. However if you would please turn the heat on it would be most appreciated. It's odd to still be in jacket and scarf while indoors and still chilled. Great place in the summer but maybe their heats broken Jan 15,2024.“

“Enter from the cozy looking patio with wooden fence. We easily found bar seating for 2 without a reservation but it was mid-week. We had the asparagus and cheeseburger with an egg. The asparagus was surprisingly refreshing served cool fresh veggies complemented the hamburger. The burger was fantastic. It had well melted cheese and two patties on a grape bun with what seemed like crispy sweet potato egg was cooked perfectly for a burger not too runny and wet yoke did pop absorbed right back in to the burger really complementing all the flavors .“

“I absolutely love everything about La Scarola except the limitations with getting in. Simply put, reservations must be placed by phone during restaurant hours. Showing up without run is likely to result in an hour plus wait or being turned around. If you overcome this hurdle, you'll understand why it's a staple that keeps patrons returning whenever they can. I've never ordered an item that I didn't enjoy and I dream about their vodka sauce and grilled octopus. Add to that pricing is reasonable and they're usually a handful of featured items to keep things interesting. In terms of ambiance, the walls are filled with photos to celebrity and notable diners. Thank me later.“

“The hits at nettare were fantastic but the misses were also pretty bad. we did the tasting menu with the drink pairing and I would say it was very worth the price. it was a lot of food and they were incredibly generous with the alcohol. my favorites by far were the skate wing and the burnt ends. our server was very friendly and it was cool that all the alcohol came from Michigan. I thought the interior was really nice but some of my friends think it's too sterile.“

“I hosted a party here last month and everything about the experience was above and beyond. Isaac and the full team were so welcoming to our party which spanned in age from 9mos to 76. The other patrons were also so friendly and we had a great time. The oldest and youngest among us were able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate but leave before the bar got too crowded and the rest of the party carried on while the bar filled. Highly recommend for the drinks, staff, the crowd and the free juke box!“

“Was there for a birthday. We were seated inside not on the patio. When the monsoon type storm hit the staff did an amazing job accommodating those that were on the patio. The city-living branch of our family thinks it's well worth the trip out here to LGP. A wonderful restaurant.“

“We headed over to Bridgeport to grab some tacos. I ordered delivery from here before but never been to the actual location. I love the outdoor seating spaces that they have.. decked out with lights and a fire pit that smelled so good! When you go inside, they have a lot of throwback decor, which I always love. The cashier was so patient with us and took time to answer our questions as my sister searched to find something that suited her dietary restrictions. It took us a while to make some decisions about what to eat, but ultimately, I had a fish taco and a brisket taco. The fish was just okay.. your typical fried cod with some basic toppings. The brisket was amazing! Their handmade corn shells were so good and fresh . The meat was tender and very well seasoned. My sister had the shrimp taco, which she enjoyed, and also chips and guac. They have various flavors of margaritas and other libations. It's a great place to go for a quick bite, especially if the weather allows you to sit outside. I'll definitely be back!“

“Great breakfast spot. Weekend brunch is walk-in only, but we stopped in around 10 on a Saturday morning and we were seated right away. Friendly service and food arrived quickly. Corn cakes with the red pepper sauce were delicious - great mix of sweet and savory. Would definitely return.“

“A Chicago institution. If you don't like Maria's then you probably don't like Chicago. That's fine, but why u here? Maria's is a great place to chill with a cold one. They don't have a huge tap list, but they do have a nicely curated mix of local brews. They also have old standbys like Old Style and PBR. Even on a Sunday afternoon they had good music playing. Maria's feels like home. Thats Chicago.“
“When J. R. R. Tolkien wrote "If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world." I'm thinking he was referencing what Sportsman's Club's Sunday dinner does for the soul...you gotta go.“
“I go here 2-3 times a week to sing, drink and mingle with every customer. Everyone talks to you and the staff is the greatest line up anywhere. They love their customers and they like to have fun, as I have seen them dance to karaoke or just being silly with each other. The front deck is amazing and I can't wait for the fun meals once the kitchen is finished. I used to make this a once a year place, but now it is a must stop everytime if out for drinks. Thank you Eileen, Theresa, Karen, Darla and Tracy for making me feel welcome.“

“I popped in just to meet my friend but then I had a dirty martini and now I am OBSESSED with it. You don’t expect much from a dirty martini right? It’s dirty. That’s it. Yum. And this was…… so good. Something about this dirt. Cuz I asked the bartender and he was saying something about the brine, it was somehow floral? He said the brine - not the vermouth. Idc. I just want another one. And then there’s the story: which I never got right, so I will irresponsibly spread it around here to generate more sensation. Something about… the original owner was tragically shot and died on the premises, in the bar. The wife shuttered the place and went upstairs for sixty years. The new owners kept the interior, the bar has original wood work and features. It is o. L. D. In a good way. I have no idea if that story is accurate or true. But I loved believing it while I was in there. What a great thing to be so surprised by a bar on division in wicker park! I love Chicago!“

“We came here for a concert over at Thalia hall from Columbus and stopped in for a drink after and met the sweetest bartender named Courtney. She was extremely welcoming and her smooth playlist of jazz fit the atmosphere perfectly. All in all 10/10, definitely will drop by again next time!“
“It consistently remains an excellent spot for enjoying drinks, whether with family or friends, prior to or following Sox games. As one of the last original bars in Bridgeport, it holds historical significance and promises many more years of success and enjoyment to come. A must-visit spot in Bridgeport's rich history.“

“We recently had a large family party at this restaurant. It was my first time at this restaurant but not the first time having Greek food. The food was fantastic! The staff were incredible and so attentive to our party and needs.the gentlemen who worked our event were available and constantly bringing drinks. Our orders were taken perfectly and the food was delivered hot and fresh. My chicken kabobs were cooked perfectly. I wish I didn't eat so much delicious French and Italian bread with olive oil so I could try more of the vegetable dish and potatoes they served. The saganaki was mouth watering. Beautiful job yo these employees and managers. They care for their employees who in turn care for their customers. ???“
“This place is pretty cool!!! Appears to be a renovated church turned music venue. Very roomy for large parties, and has great architecture. The basement bathrooms are situated next to what appears to be old catacombs, but I don't know if it's just the signage that remains, or if the catacombs still exist as well.It had a old style UK church feel to it, and it was interesting enough that it felt like it holds a lot of secrets from decades (maybe centuries) ago.“

“The place was NOT what you'd expect from the outside. It's a VERY CLEAN, newly decorated bar/pub table area. The food was above average! We had mushroom appetizers and burgers and they were both cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious. But what's not to love about WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO are FRIENDLY AND KIND THAT SERVES YOU. ANN was the bartender/ waitress and she was one of the nicest people we've met in a long time. Fun conversation, feel like I've known her forever!! Everything WAS GREAT and I've been a total "Karen" lately because of so many bad places!! PUB FOOD AT IT'S BEST, a diamond in the rough!! Give it a try!!!“

“My fiancé and I were visiting chicago for the marathon weekend. Our friend friend who lives local recommended Takito Kitchen based on the great experiences he has had there in the past. The owner himself is a UCF alum just like everyone in our group, so he came to our table to introduce himself and we had a great conversation. He was so friendly and our waitress Alma was amazing as well! So sweet and very helpful/ knowledgeable. An overall great experience! We will be back next time we are in town and we will recommend all of our friends here as well!“

“Calling this place a "dive-bar" is a disservice. It's a family run neighborhood bar with the works. Good music (from an awesome preloaded jukebox), a fair selection of beer, wines, and spirits, friendly and quick service, and a very laid back and welcoming atmosphere. The mood definitely gets more upbeat and rowdy(in a good way) when there are things like bingo (Stingo) or live music performances going on, but even when those aren't happening, you can bet there's an interesting film being played on their TV. The owner Steve runs a tight ship, and it shows. I urge anyone passing by or new to the area to come grab a beer on a weekend or weekday night (except Tuesdays because I don't think they're open those days). You're guaranteed to run into the colorful characters that make up the Bridgeport community. I live in the Midway area, and the drive to get here is more than worth the trip. Stop by, grab a beer, order some Japanese food from next door (or tacos across the street) and start a conversation. You'll be hooked immediately and won't regret it ✨“

“Wanted to check out riverside and it's located nicely in their downtown area. Parking is pretty easy. We did like the drinks and the decor was unique. The downside was that it took such a long time to get our drinks despite there being multiple servers and Or bartenders. Also, they need to update their drink prices and include information on surcharges. It was annoying to see the bill.“

“I like to visit this place during the week because it is relatively chill on nights that are not fridays and saturdays. Their food is fantastic and they have a wonderful assortment of great drafts to choose from.pool table in the back and enough Miller highlife to supply an army of beer drinkers. They have an eclectic array of spirits! This joint is a must visit for those looking for a place to relax and feel classy while they do it.“
“So Good! Vast wine and beer selection, and great intimate atmosphere. I’ve gone by myself and with others, a blast every time. The toffee cake is so damn good, it’s outrageous. Mushroom flatbread is delicious too.*they rotate the wine selection; so if you have a favorite on the menu, write it down for your notes“
“Noticed you have a gluten free menu on our last visit, but here are just a few suggestions for gluten-free protocol:1. Server informed us that the sauces are not gluten free. Please confirm and, if not, mention this on the gluten free menu in the barbecue section.2. Server marked our order with a gluten allergy but the tray was delivered with the meat on top of (touching) bread. Maybe the bread could be put more to the side with the sauces.3. Fries are listed in the gluten free menu but appeared to be breaded. It’s possible that they’re fine, but please confirm for the menu. Thanks for accommodating!“

“Nice bar good music friendly door guy great selections I came here by myself on a Friday night and Whitney and Julian who were both rather busy at the bar, still made me feel right at home When I mentioned I was visiting and kept getting lost on Google Maps. Whitney even drew me directions to my next destination. After mentioning something about being trans, Julian asked my pronouns. In a really nice way and made it may feel way more comfortable as it is trans women alone at a bar at 1 AM. Also as I'm sober, they had a great non alcoholic menu. and didn't treat me as a second-class citizen being of the non-drinking variety all in all great place would absolutely come back/recommended“

“If you are a craft cocktail or spirits enthusiast, then this speakeasy spot is a must visit! Unrivaled selection of bottles, extremely knowledgeable staff, and the food is exceptional. I was lucky enough to go to Alinea the night before and had the black truffle explosion. The one served here is equally delicious! Thanks to the staff for their hospitality and I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago. Don’t forget to make a reservation since this place fills up quickly!“
“Ordered a small thin crust from uber eats juss being lazy & not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Pizza sauce is very tasty, wish I had ordered it on the side for dipping my pizza in. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and it was cooked Just how I like it. I will definitely order from here again. The only thing I didn't like was that my pizza wasn't sealed in any type of way to prevent it from being tampered with while it was being delivered. Maybe perhaps some stickers to prevent the box from being open, or put the pizza in a paper bag then staple it up at the end. Otherwise very good pizza.“

“Love this place. Tho this is new - here's to 30% being the new 15%. Really?? Seems pretty greedy. Maybe because of the conversion away from cash and the bartenders have a bigger tax bill? Or, um, maybe just off the rails? Or I'm a jerk for thinking $5 for 2 drinks and a bag of chips is good.“
“Stella's is the perfect divey Ukrainian Village gem. Great mix of typical beers/booze plus some polish staples, yum. Stella herself is the real reason to visit, she is the absolute best. There's games, boppin touch tunes, and pups are allowed! What more could you want in a bar?“
