The only thing I didn't like was that my pizza wasn't sealed in any type of way to prevent it from being tampered with while it was being delivered. Maybe perhaps some stickers to prevent the box from being open, or put the pizza in a paper bag then staple it up at the end. Otherwise very good pizza.“

Every time I sit down in a booth it makes me feel like i can talk about nothing, (a Seinfeld reference). The menu is full of classic diner dishes, from hearty breakfast options to juicy burgers and sandwiches to homemade soups and salads. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna melt, which was perfectly put together with just the right amount of cheese and tune on white bread. The French toast was also excellent, with a soft and fluffy texture that melted in my mouth. But if you want the traditional, just order the all American breakfast, 2 sunny side up eggs with hash browns and two slices of bread, along with a cup of coffee. Everything is delicious. The staff at De Mar's are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to offer suggestions on what to order and were always on hand to refill drinks or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait long to be seated, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Needless to say, I have been to The Works Tavern a few times and it's some of the best food in Chicago, especially on the south side. Mike is a culinary expert and my last visit proved it. I legitimately had the best Philly Cheesesteak I've ever had. The steak was juicy, the bread was soft and the cheese was super cheesy (10/10).The food is always fresh, the beer is always cold and my kids love the pizza! The butterscotch espresso martini is a decadent treat you can't skip.
