“Come here every time I'm in Chicago the staff is welcoming the food portions are good they give u a nice full dinner the sides aren't skimpy my go to is the mixed dinner with mac and yams ? sometime i get the red snapper you must try it The escovitch way it's spicy but very flavorful must try. the catfish is also good as well as the tacos also they are very empathetic when u call them with a complaint they will do their best to make sure ur happy ? 10/10 i love this place keep up the good work“

“Phenomenal catering for a big party! We hosted a party for 100 and ordered a couple of full trays of their scrumptious Signature Pressed Sandwiches (lechon - my fave, steak, Cubans, Cubanito Express, chicken Guava Q, veggies, caprese). The owner threw in some Puerto Rican rice, tons of fantastic condiments, and more. The food was a HUGE hit. I only wish I had ordered more because it was enjoyed so quickly and there were no leftovers!Vegetarian options: There are delicious vegetarian and vegan options including Vegana Bowl, pressed Sandwich or Jibarito (featuring Impossible "meat" and vegan cheese with vegan chipotle mayo and veggies), Caprese and Veggie pressed sandwiches and Jibarito sandwiches (using fried green plantains instead of bread).“

“GO HERE! Seriously, just go. My husband and I were looking for a good jerk place to try in the neighborhood and this place popped up. Well reading through some reviews and pics, we decided to give it a try. I tell you what, it may not look like much from the outside, the food is the real deal! They are putting their foot in it for real! We got the jerk chicken dinner and the fried catfish dinner. The chicken is good on its own, but that sauce is fire. And the peas and rice was a hit for the both of us with that pepper jelly sauce. The greens were so good and had just enough spice and the Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. But I've got to hand it to them with the yams. I have never liked candied yams. But I would buy a side of these anytime! I loved that they weren't overly sweet and were large chunks of sweet potato. We will definitely be back to try some other dishes. And as a bonus, happy to support a local business.“

“First time here and definitely worth trying. The chicken is soft and well seasoned with the jerk flavors. Mac and cheese is cheesy and good. Cabbage is good..now the red beans and rice tasted like rice a roni..it didn’t have that real flavor of red beans and rice plus I think all I got was like three beans. Then it came with some sauce that was sweet, rubbed me the wrong way. But overall I would recommend for anyone to try for themselves.“

“I had the pleasure of living across the street from this place during a travel assignment. The food is delicious. I haven’t tried it all but i plan on it. Jerk/curry chicken, egg rolls and cabbage have been my go to. All the sauces are good, fire sauce is my fav. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. The music is always good, and games are often on. Happy hour prices are great! Definitely recommend stopping in to support local biz!“

“Been coming here a few years and they are consistent with flavor and presentation. They have the best bbq jerk chicken tips and jerk chicken salad. The dressing isn’t anything to rave about but the meats are good. Cornbread could be better, I got green beans and potatoes for the sides. It comes with red beans and rice too. Always good.? Service is great.“

“My Favorite Jerk Spot To Eat Real authentic Jamaican food located in the Chicagoland area. This is my 5th time eating here and I love everything about the menu and their services. I always get the jerk chicken with Mac and yams. The yams are always hot and deliciously made with love :) paired with the Mac and cheese super cheesy and tasty. Now let’s get to the tender- goodness oxtail made with the perfect thick gravy and vegetables are my absolutely favorite dinner on the menu. The Service was A1 and the manager Rajay was very nice and caring making sure I had extra utensils and jerk sauce. “I 100% recommend this spot! Went in after work for a meal and met the owner. He was welcoming professional and knowledgeable. I had the j*** chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens. Chicken had a nice kick and was tasty. MacChz was good and the collard greens were amazing although it was the first time I ever had them and I'll be 39 in July lol. Our crew has a couple jobs in that area for the next two weeks so it's safe to say we will be going there again.. I will be trying the lamb chops for sure...“

“This is the very 1st Jerk restaurant where EVERYTHING was good and fresh. I had oxtails, jerk chicken, cabbage, Mac and Cheese, yams, peas and rice, and plantain. My Ma had a full dark jerk chicken dinner as well. The Mac and cheese was seasoned to perfection and cheesy as ever (no egg; baked). The yams not overly sweet, jerk chicken just right. The cabbage is consistently good. Only disappointment was the size oxtail they give is small. (4 little pieces and 2 big. Thats everywhere though) EVERYTHING was hot, and did I say fresh?? glad it's right around my Mas house. I'll be eating here much more often!!“
