“Joe is the best!!! His food is amazing, all of my guests raved over it! Totally stress free and accommodating! His service was great, everything was on time! Guests were making multiple trips to refill their plates. He was great to work with.“

“Their online menu prices, their paper menus and their in store boards all have different prices. Kind of misleading when you think you're paying one price and it's completely different when comes time to pay. Super friendly staff. Delicious food!“
“I’ve been to this location many times for lunch and dinner, mostly pick up. The food here is quality is very good, the lunch menu is a great deal as seen on photo, the portion is great. Compliments to the Chef and all of the hard working staff! I recommend getting the jalapeño fried rice ! It is amazing!Parking: Parking lot on side of building“
“Blew my socks off tonight... the best gyro dinner/plate that I've had in a long time!!!!! A pita with a good bakery quality freshness! Best of all, the gyro meat was generously portioned!!!!! Wowza ,an old fashioned style gyro! A good dive thru! Supper happy!!! Can't get better in my neighborhood!!!! I will now drive for Kojak gyros. TRUTH!!!! P.s. fries great old school, not overly seasoned. A to go to!!!!“
“Best burger I have ever had! I had a single cheeseburger with the crispy fries. The burger was absolute perfection; from the bun to the patty. I sat at the bar, arguably the best seats in the house. You get to see the dedication and care the cooks put into their craft, and the results reflect that!“
“Wow what an amazing dining experience! We were lucky enough to get spots at the bar in front of the kitchen on a packed Friday night and the show was impressive. Seeing this crew sling out amazing dish after another was a real treat. We tried the tuna tartare, dry aged pork and the duck. Everything was perfectly balanced and delicious. Portions were also very generous. My only regret is that we were way too full to grab dessert but hopefully we can return another time for that! Cocktails and service was also on point. This is an easy recommendation for those in the Chicago area.“
“EDIT 03/29/24:Got an email today saying I got a refund for the booking fee as well as the surcharge. I was also told that "The restaurant surcharge is in place to help us offset the rising costs of food, beverage, labor, benefits, supplies, and more. It is added to all checks but can always be removed upon request."I've upgraded my rating to 4/5. I appreciate the response, but I still don't agree with those fees. Just raise your menu prices.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Another toxic Chicago racket. In this one, booking a reservation actually costs you money! Yep - they do not apply the deposit to your final bill or refund it - they just keep the money for you making the reservation. Then, they charge a 3.25% “restaurant surcharge” on your final bill. A surcharge for what exactly??? Covid is over. At least fake it and call it “employee benefit” or some other made up thing. It’s a shame because our waitress was top notch and we would have tipped her 20%, but after deducting the silly surcharge and the deposit it came down to 15%, so good job on screwing over your waitstaff.Vote with your wallet - don’t let them get away with it.“
“The taste was much better than I expected. The two of us spent over 500, with nearly 100 in tips. The A5 Wagyu was more delicious than I imagined, and the oysters are definitely a must-order item at their restaurant. The only issue was personal; I’m someone who doesn’t like being frequently asked "how is everything" while eating. Although the person in charge was very enthusiastic, it was just a bit too much for me. I hope in the future they could pay a bit more attention to individual customer preferences.“
“Fantastic breakfast/diner food, though there may be a bit of a line. Baked goods for takeaway go fast. Donut holes come with every meal and all breads are baked in-house.Parking: Street parking is just as ridiculous as everywhere in downtown Chicago. Rideshare is the more convenient option.“
“Update: We were generously welcomed back to Ever for a second go at the experience and it was starkly different and very enjoyable. The food was well executed and the service was incredibly personal. They somehow recognized me and addressed me by first name when entering which was very impressive! Ryan was our sommelier for the evening and his personality and descriptions of the wines were amazing to listen to, and his passion was evident. Paulina's attentiveness and care for our experience was a bright spot as well on the evening. Based on this experience we could definitely recommend Ever, but hopefully you get this the first time around. Thanks Ever team for a great redemption and treating us to a very special evening!Original review for reference:My wife and I dined at Ever for our anniversary this year, and I had contemplated leaving a review but decided to share our experience. We were unfortunately let down. Overall, the food was not what we expected. There were a couple dishes that were very salty, and at least one that just lacked flavor in general. The hamachi was incredible, though, i wish the rest was just as good. The service, although very professional and consice, simply lacked personality and any sense of individualism. It also just felt a bit rushed and that they were on a mission to complete the job. We were asked to supply them with info on special occasions before we arrived, which I did. I expected at least the service staff to be aware of our anniversary but as we walked in the hostess asked us if we were celebrating anything and us telling her was clearly the first time any employee there had heard it. We've dined elsewhere at less rewarded and reputed restaurants where even the valet knew, and we were greeted with a special glass of wine and handwritten note. I don't want to sound pretentious here...but the bill was not light. We spent a significant amount of money at Ever only to leave feeling unfulfilled, and we are not partivularly wealthy. However, we are both in the food industry and looked at this experience as a sort of pilgrimage. Perhaps we should have said something while there but I think we were just a bit shocked. I would not recommend the Ever experience.“
“Truly enjoyed the Puttery experience! We came in on a Saturday during St. Patrick’s day weekend. Fortunately, Ryan advised us to come during a time in which we can enjoy the game and the ambiance. The restaurant/bar area on the 2nd floor was great for eating and obtaining our amazing drinks. They have some of the best mixed drinks in West Loop! The BBQ on Saturday Night was my favorite. We took our drinks to the 3rd floor in the lounge/bar to have a nice, cozy conversation before the game. The patio had some great views of West Loop.We took to the holes when we were all warmed up for our mini golf session. Although the 3rd floor course had flatter and more adventurous areas, the 2nd floor course was more intimate and challenging. There can only be up to 4 people in a traveling group though. My date and I ended up having a fun time.I want to thank Ryan, the manager, for helping to make this a memorable experience. We will be back soon with friends.“
“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.“
“Really cool concept/atmosphere, fair prices, large portions, and they were able to squeeze my partner and I in despite us lacking a reservation. Memorable experience of Chicago for us NE tourists.I ended up feeling inspired to add a new item to my appetite as well as cooking by the carrot cake pancakes, which I've never had before! Still haven't found a great copycat recipe but oh well.“
“Gilt bar’s happy hour is lively classy and delicious. Definitely try and show up right around 4 as it gets packed quickly. But mostly is standing room. We stood near the bar and the service was impressive for how busy it got. The bartender really could shake those drinks! The $7 teeny espresso martini for me and husband ordered an old fashioned with wild turkey rye $8 ...bartender asked if he wanted to upgrade to the Bourbon the drink increased to $17. He should have said something. Errrr. Seats opened at the bar. (Only can order food if seated) We ordered the mussels which had a lemon vermouth sauce. Dipping the crusty bread in the sauce was my favorite part. The ambiance is fancy and artfully arranged. (4.5/5)“
“My first true Michelin experience and it did not disappoint! The staff was excellent and the food was next level. Here's what I had when I visited on 3/6/24:- Caviar with potato, spinach, and smoked sablefish. I was surprised how much I liked this. It was my first time having caviar. It was not overly salted like I expected. It had the perfect amount of salt and the flavors from the smoked fish really pushed it over the top. Possibly my favorite dish from my visit.- Foie Gras Custard. This had a sweet and warm top layer and a cooler bottom layer with persimmons and brioche croutons. Very good and really rich.- Crispy Ricotta Gnudi. These were little semolina pasta filled with ricotta and breaded.- Monkfish and grilled lobster. First time having monkfish. It had good flavor and firm flesh. It actually reminded me of a crustacean. The grilled lobster was cooked perfectly.- Coconut Key Lime Custard. The dessert probably my last favorite dish but was still good. The citrusy and tangy flavor from the lime and lemongrass was so strong that I couldn't taste much of the coconut from the meringue but the white chocolate sorbet helped round it out.The staff also brought out a few more items throughout the service: house bread with cultured butter, an amuse bouche (so buttery, so good), and a truffle (I think) and caramel.I ordered a glass of orange wine and a cocktail (Unique, New York) as well. The cocktail tasted great and the flavors weren't overpowered by too much alcohol. The cocktail does have a bubble with ginger smoke when it's brought out but I was too slow with my camera to capture it.Overall, it was a great dinner. The staff made sure I was being taken care of and the food (possibly with the exception of the dessert) was on point. Well worth the cost for an occasional indulgence ?.“
“Girl and the Goat offers an exceptional tapas-style dining experience! The food was amazing, especially the must-try empanadas. Each dish showcased incredible flavors and creativity. The lively ambiance added to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable culinary adventure!“
“It's not just the food that makes a restaurant, it's also the vibe. The minute you enter Oriole you know you're in for an evening that you won't soon forget. Never have had such attentive yet not overbearing service. These people are doing what they love and if not they are excellent at acting like they do! Oriole is about you enjoying the complete experience of fine dining without being stuffy or pretentious. It's been a week and I can still feel the serotonin buzz every time I think of one of the gastronomically amazing dishes or delicious wine pairings that my friend and I had. I know I'm laying it on thick but so wowed by everything!“
“My guy and I dined there last night and I can only say that every aspect of this visit was, on a scale from 1 to 5, a 10. Atmosphere, service, cleanliness, promptly being seated AND served with a reservation, courteous waitstaff, and last but not least...every dish we tasted was superbly plated and tasted amazing. We had the restaurant week special with 3 entrees. We chose the pot roast, blackened salmon w/creamed spinach, honey chicken with fried pound cake, short ribs /mashed potatoes, shrimp n grits. Well done! We will be coming back!“
“We sat on the patio with a view of Millennial Park. Service was attentive but not in a rush. Thanks Abigail. Food was prepared wonderfully and the portions were unexpectedly large. I definitely recommend the Croque Madame. You won’t walk away hungry. Atmosphere reminded me of a Parisian cafe.“
“We were a party of 6 people, tried the black croquettes, corn Madeleine, the vegetables , the fried chicken and the salt. Everything was delicious. Cocktails were very good too. The service was a bit long but at the same time, it is pleasant to not be rushed in a restaurant and to have time to eat your plates without anyone asking you every 5 min if you were done.I will definitely be back“
“From start to finish our group was taken care of. The hostess kept us entertained while they were getting our table ready, which was our fault not theirs. Our server “Sir Charles” Charlie was great. The food and drinks along with their presentation were wonderful. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place to have a good dinner in Chicago.“
“Are you ready for the 411? Here we go... Are you ready for the 411? Here we go…our son’s rehearsal dinner was hosted at Remington’s. The servers were very good and attentive to our needs. We had one server, who are the New Yorkers appreciated. We did not get her name but completely reminded the New Yorkers in the group of Cardi B. She was sweet, courteous and funny and although she is from Chicago, she would truly make it in the Big Apple with her level of customer service and bubbly personality. My only disappointment was I ordered a mock-tail from a male server and he completely forgot and left me hanging until the main server that was assigned to our party came back and saved my thirst. The aesthetics and food was on point which we all enjoyed. The salmon, prime rib and chicken perfectly seasoned and flavored well. The sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes were excellent.Again, another good restaurant to visit if in Chicago!“
“I love this place! The chicken Marsala is incredible! We also had eggplant roll acting as an appetizer, linguine with clams, gnocchi and manicotti! All great and we all have dinner for tomorrow! Service is great and always like talking to the owner, who makes you feel like you are his personal guests! Only suggestion for improvement is to assign the waitstaff to one area! This happened last time too. The servers are running all over! Be a little kinder to them. They work so hard!“
“I’ve been here many times and have always had good food and good service. The menu changes based on the seasons though a few options are always on the menu. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The duck is very good, but they have excellent fish and vegetarian options. Once, service was slow, and they comped us a pasta they brought to us while we waited for what we had ordered and the dessert we ordered at the end. Which brings me to the other positive of Duck Inn and that’s the service. I’ve never had bad service here. The Duck Inn is a special place and reflects well on the Chicago food scene.“
“I went to LIPS with a group of family and friends for my cousin’s birthday. The performers definitely put on an amazingly entertaining show!! The food portions were a bit small for the cost but nonetheless delicious! We all had a great time!“
“This is our new favorite date spot! This is the restaurant with the best ambiance in the city! It’s right across from the river, and it’s super dark inside, but very intimate. The service was second to none and everything we ordered was spectacular especially the desserts! We can’t wait to come back!“
“If you’re thinking of mimosas and good food on a Saturday morning. Parlay might just have to be your best bet! Perfect location to come in after Friday night hangs and just enjoy company with friends. Did I mention the mimosas are bottomless? Sports & Brunch enthusiasts you’ll love this place.“
“Stopped in for dinner and beers with colleagues. Then sat in the bar area. We started with burrata and side dishes. Both were very delicious. I loved the pita bread and hummus on the appetizer plate. I will definitely get it again. Round two, we had fried chicken, croquettes and pizza. The chicken is super delicious. It was fried very well and the sweet sauce was great. I liked the pizza, although it was closer to flatbread because the crust was very flat and thin. Nice beer list. The cocktail list could be more impressive. Service is very friendly and attentive. Five stars!“
“We were not expecting The Smith to still be on the brunch menu when we arrived but it not only was but absolutely delicious. Our server was attentive and I just cannot adequately express how great the food tasted. I honestly thought the “flatiron” steak would be a little dry, but it wasn’t! In fact, it was one of the best cooked and tasting steaks I’ve eaten. Our son got the strip and he also said it was one of the best he has eaten. My husband got the eggs Benedict and he said it was awesome. The brunch menu was an incredibly great value which included a breakfast cocktail of your choice. This was the first time we have eaten here and it definitely will not be the last. We will come here as often as possible. I do not take great pictures (and had already eaten the eggs off my flatiron steak), but you can see how great everything looked.“
“My wife and I have never been to a Michelin star restaurant and now that we live in Chicago, we had plenty of options. For our second baby moon we decided to treat ourselves to an experience at El Ideas. The whole experience was amazing! The location is really unassuming and not in some pretentious building or area. It was such a laid back yet exquisite experience. Guests were allowed to wonder the space and take in the food preparation. You could ask questions of the chefs. It was really neat and nothing like I've ever experienced. Since there are a limited number of reservations the entire staff is really attune to guests needs. I have no complaints about any of the dishes. Some of the standout dishes were the shrimp dish which was an ode to the history of Chicago fried shrimp. The Swedish style meatball cooked in smoked beef tallow with gnocchi was so well balanced. The smoked duck bahn mi and smoke duck pho was amazing . The Lamb dish was out of this world! I'm still in awe of the vanilla shake and fries dessert. It was truly a work of art. The vanilla with the crunchy potato bits and potato and leak soup just worked. I could take one of those every day. This experience is definitely worth it! I hope to be back in the future!“
“Alulu is great, they have two floor levels, and an outdoor patio. They have a lot of themed nights like chess night, video game night, etc. They have daily food specials and a solid happy hour. They brew different types of beer and have solid cocktails too! It's also really friendly, everyone who works here is awesome and their patio is dog friendly.“
“I had the pork chop cooked medium well with broccolini. The chop was moist and flavorful with an apple/raisin sauce. Very good. Broccolini was fresh and crisp. I also had the Red Head cocktail; much like a Cosmopolitan. Very good with just enough vodka. Topped it off with brownie sundae. Definitely will be back. Highly recommended.“
“This is the reason I love Bridgeport and think it is so underrated! #KeepBridgeportWeirdI love smash burgers and they did not disappoint whatsoever. My husband got three tacos, and they were hefty portions to! The food came super quickly.I highly highly highly recommend the apple pie CBD elixir. Here is what they currently have on tap for CBD and THC elixirs.“
“I’m giving Tony’s 5 stars because I mean I PERSONALLY have never had a bad meal or experience there. It’s everything you could want in a family style restaurant/ diner. The waiters , bus boys & staff are very attentive. The place is always clean INCLUDING THE BATHROOM! It’s our go to breakfast, lunch or dinner spot ! The menu is filled with so many options and specials to choose from . Portions NEVER disappoint .Today I had their beef stroganoff in which I forgot to take a pic of because I was so hungry but it was fire ! ? you get exactly what you pay for here . They don’t skimp or scrimp on anything !!! Thank you Tony’s for being the go to place to take our family to enjoy a good quality meal. Many memories have been made here .“
“Went to experience Mimi's as fries are my favorite and who doesn't enjoy good tacos. My family and I ordered Birria tacos, loaded Jerk fries, sautéed broccoli and the house made Italian ice. The food was 8/10, I have had the pleasure of tasting other fusion Jerk type tacos in past this was sweet with slight heat and super enjoyable. My only complaint is if I'm going to a place that has Fries in name, I'd like to think fries should be handmade and a star standing alone I don't think that is the case here. The broccoli though was insane with garlic butter, I'd go back just for them tbh.“
“My husband and I really enjoy great service and paired with good food; it is worth our time and money. Even though our visit was on the spur of the moment, we were able to get a great table. We arrived about 30 min to an hour before the restaurant became full. We were treated the same as those who had prior reservations and we were not rushed. The service/sever was great. Alex was very familiar with the menu, providing excellent descriptions of specials . Alex was attentive, checking to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Alex was also kind and friendly. Our meal (roasted chicken) was delicious. The chicken was cooked to perfection….very tender. If we could change one thing (minor) would be the lemon and caper jus. Flavor/taste was good, but it was just a little too much for us….the mash potatoes (which were tasty) disappeared into the jus. Loved the kale…very tender. Now, for the dessert(s); we are not sure how often the dessert menu changes, but the dessert menu on Saturday, April 12, 2024, presented a hard choice. Saving calories, we opted to share….we chose the Pound Cake filled with warm banana pudding, and drizzled with a rum sauce. This dessert was “De-Lish”, and worth every calorie. The pound cake was moist with a nice texture and the banana pudding was warm and full of flavor. Also, the sauce was so delicious, we tried to get every drop off the plate.?Again, we would recommend Chicago Firehouse!“
“Was visiting Chicago from Philly and found this restaurant on Google. It was well worth the wait. The food tasted fresh, was hot and tasty. I had the cheese grits, turkey sausage and French toast. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.Kid-friendliness: They had food my 11 year old likes.“
“As huge fans of Irish pubs, my boyfriend and I were really excited to stop inside of Miller's Pub and it did not disappoint! We received excellent service at the bar and I really enjoyed all of the historical aspects and decor of the place.I enjoyed my hot chocolate and my boyfriend was impressed with the draft beer selection- can't wait to return when we are in Chicago next!“
“Went with a group of friends celebrating a birthday and the staff were amazing!! Paul was so nice and social with our whole group! I definitely rate this place 5/5 and plan on stopping anytime I’m in the city!! Thanks again for all of the hospitality!“
“Last night, my girlfriend and I celebrated her 30th birthday with an unforgettable dinner at Roister. The evening was nothing short of magical, beginning with the Market Oysters that were delicately smoked and served with a tangy mignonette sauce. The shishito peppers, paired with a savory topping, were a burst of flavor that set the stage for the rest of the meal. Each dish was a masterpiece, not only in taste but also in presentation. The Pork Belly was succulent and perfectly seasoned, melting effortlessly at each bite. The Fried Chicken & Caviar was a surprising blend of down-home comfort and upscale indulgence, creating a delightful contrast. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Hearth Grilled Scallop. The cauliflower purée and fresh melon provided a sweet and creamy backdrop to the perfectly charred scallops. Following this was the Blue Crab with sofrito, which was a testament to the chef’s attention to detail and flavor balance. For dessert, the Butternut Squash Sorbet was a refreshing palate cleanser, and the Banana with pecan ice cream ended our meal on a decadently sweet note. Each plate was not only a treat for the palate but a feast for the eyes, served on beautifully curated dishware that enhanced the overall experience. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to savor each moment of our celebration. Roister has truly set a high bar for culinary excellence and a memorable dining experience. Five stars are not enough to capture the essence of our evening. We will definitely be returning!“
“Great beer selection. Really good service. OK food. Cesar salad had way too much dressing and the grilled chicken was bone dry. Kale salad was uninspiring. Pretzel nugget appetizer was great. Maybe if stick to barfood and would have had s better experience.“
“I went today…I did not get the name of the person who attended us. I believe he is the owner, he is very nice and welcoming. The chefs are kind with good vibes too. Overall Good vibes. The chicken is not dry, and the friendly fire fries are very well served and delicious. I know a lot of food places get promoted in the city, but I am happy to know that there is a good chicken place here in Forest Park, IL. The food is well priced, and not expensive. To anyone who wants a delicious chicken sandwich and amazing fries please go here. - Ramiro“
“Randomly popped in here on a self proclaimed “espresso martini bar crawl” and am so happy we did! The staff is hands down the best I’ve experienced in the city, everything we’ve eaten has been amazing (espresso martini included), and it’s relatively easy to get a spot at the bar. 10/10 recommend!“
“This is a historic German restaurant in Chicago and specializes both in comfort food and comfort atmosphere. We visited here during Christmas time, and the whole place was decked. The children could play games while the adults enjoyed good food. I ordered an oxtail and tasted their steak, and both were delicious. We had a party of 20 and had our own room booked with our own Christmas tree.“
“Since moving to Cicero in 2020 this has been our spot. Food is always on point, service is super friendly and they have an outdoor patio that we can bring our pup pup.Vegetarian options: There's always something vegan or vegetarian friendly.“
“The first thing that I noticed about Amerikas was the super lively and bright ambiance. I went I on a Saturday night with my wife, so I wasn't surprised by all of the people dining and having a good time, and as I ate my dinner I definitely learned why. The decor is bright and fun. The walls are lined by mutuals, mostly yellow, with big splashes of color. I liked how then kept the lights on to keep the atmosphere bright and fun. The food was delicious too. My wife and ordered the pulpo, barbacoa, tacos (shrimp and pork shoulder), tostada de pescado, ceviche and the dragon fruit cheesecake for dessert. I enjoyed all of the dishes, my favorites were the barbacoa and the pulpo. The barbacoa was super flavorful and fell right off the bone, no knife was need. The pulpo was cooked to perfection and was tender and delicious. The risk with pulpo is that it can be chewy and tough, definitely not the case here. One note, the tostada for the tostada de pescado seem a bit too dry, but the flavor of fresh seafood made up for it. If you want a fun show with your food, order the ceviche, it comes out with a cool smoke effect. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and the overall experience at the restaurant was enjoyable. While they don't have a parking lot, street parking is cheap (at least compared to Chicago) and plentiful. Amerikas is a must visit in Oak Park.“

“Always a great experience at Dalia’s . Staff is always graceful and attentive. We have been here several times and never have been disappointed with our meal or service.Parking: Dalias is in a little shopping mall area. There’s always parking.Kid-friendliness: The staff is always so patient and kind with the kids. They have coloring books, crayons and stickers for the kids.“
“This place is amazing. We came here for my daughter’s birthday and one they went all out for her. I highly recommend this place. Michelle was our server and she was super sweet. This place is great. And we visited from Minnesota which made it extra special they all went out of there way. Thank you.“
