“The cheeseburger and fries were amazing, fast, and cheap ($7 is unheard of these days). Be warned there is not indoor seating and the outdoor seating is located directly under the train tracks so it is deafeningly loud, but earplugs are offered!“

“A basic, unassuming hotdog stand right next to the Field Museum. They have the regular Chicago dog (onions, mustard, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt, pickle spear). They also have vegetarian and turkey dogs as well as polish dogs. You can have the basic toppings mentioned above as well as chili, cheese, and sauerkraut. You can also purchase water or canned soda and chips. All combos (dog, chips, drink) appear to around 10-11 dollars (prices reflect a 3% cash discount). You can enjoy one after leaving one of the museums while checking out water views!“

“Right across from Portillos, the Fixin’ Franks stand offers Chicago-style hotdogs at a fraction of the price. Serving up all the Windy City classics like hotdogs, Polish sausage, tamales, and elotes, their Chicago dog is loaded to perfection. ? Ideal for satisfying your street food cravings while strolling through the area.??“

“Got The Dogzilla and The Lord Byron burger, both Byron's style. Staff was very nice and quick and the food was great. If you're ever in the area, make a stop here. It's worth it. Awesome place and good food.“

“Definitely a staple when it comes to hot dogs and jumbo fried shrimp in the Bridgeport neighborhood... Stop there before a Sox game or for a good lunch... You won't regret it! Bring cash because, they only accept that. No debit or credit cards! 😎“
