Very good food, great service, but the environment is pretty dark and doesn't always smell that clean (smells like cigarettes). The regulars aren't rowdy though and I have brought my family (kids too) here a couple times. They do have a grill on the side of the bar if you want to take it to-go. Love this place! I make it a point to stop here whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Great food. Great specials. Great crowd. Plus Cindy the bartender!!! This is the type of corner bar this city was built on.

I used to run a trucking account for a mega carrier that delivered right down the street from here. I'm not lying when I say this is the only bar I've ever drank in. Chicago doesn't allow beer sales in convenience stores I guess. Was recommended that I buy a six pack here. I was not disappointed in the slightest. I tell stories down in Georgia about this place from time to time. It's like a legend to all my friends... None of them can get me to drink in a bar to this day. Cheers...read full review
