“Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

“Steel cafe is soo convenient and easy to access with the fastest service. The gym is amazing itself but the cafe has been the best addition to the gym. The workers in there are always so sweet.Anytime I need a little pick me up before a workout I grab a protein coffee and it gives me the best amount of energy and that doesn’t leave me with anxiety.There are so many fresh food options along with drinks and as a picky eater I always find something I love that helps me reach my daily protein intake!“

“Hometown Coffee & Juice is a really great spot in downtown Glencoe. They have excellent acai bowls with fruit and granola. The salami and egg sandwich is also very good. They also have bagel sandwiches and giant cookies on their amazing menu. My cousin loves the open face lox avocado toast as well! The staff is super fast and friendly. This place is crowded for a reason and it's worth it. Prices are a bit on the high side, but it is Glencoe and it's at least worth it! Well designed place, quality food and drinks. The coffee and juice here is absolutely amazing. The coffee is roasted perfectly and there are plenty of options to choose from. The juices are fresh and the treats are the best. Their soups & chili, hot sandwiches and pastries are exceptional. The source organic chicken and fresh eggs from from Harrisons; bagels from Kauffman, different dairy and butter from Wagner Farm, pastries from Bennistons and etc. Truly a cool spot to read a book, work on your laptop or just sit with a friend and chat. They get into themed items for holidays and go out to decorate. Also have coordinated events too. Kathy the owner truly knows how to run a great establishment. Very kid friendly and excellent prides for the value of what you get. Plenty of parking and a block from the library, train station and a park. My only grip is that the bathroom need a little more attention. They also have a reward system too eirh gracious cash back and a drive thru. Also have gluten free option. Great variety of fresh items. Truly a gem to have in Glenview.“

It's definitely on the pricey side but it's in a popular part of Chicago so that's to be expected. They can customize them to your liking if you want to swap out certain ingredients. Service was super friendly and recognized my sweaty face after my second visit which made me laugh. “Came here in the middle of the day during a weekday, so it was pretty empty. That also mean we got served very quickly. The store had a cute wall and seating along the wall, but no tables. So it might be a little awkward if you have a large group. The drinks were pretty good though, we got the brown sugar milk tea everything was decent. Definitely not the best boba I've had, but the pearls were decently chewy and the flavor was decently good. My friend enjoyed his smoothie as well. Overall a pretty solid boba place. “Glenview Grind is a great coffee spot. They have many drink and food options to choose from including smoothies, coffee, and sandwiches. Moreover, they have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating as well. They also have a drive thru option which is very convenient. The inside is very clean and is a nice place to go and do some work. The staff is also very friendly and prompt when making the orders.“

“The ice cream is fantastic, the only downside is the service is kind of mid. They sometimes take forever because they’re always understaffed but the food does not disappoint! They always are asking to tip on their computer though which is super annoying considering they just stare you down while you are on the machine. All the menu items are diverse and I prefer the marshmallow, strawberry banana, and strawberry chocolate ice cream!! Also all their teamonades are super good!!! I prefer raspberry, peach, and lychee. They also sometimes add the actual fruit and a lemon piece into the drinks. The ambiance is kind of meh, it’s a very bright atmosphere but with empty and big spacing around the seats. Sometimes when it’s busy there’s not enough space to even enjoy your treat, but I love the ice cream and drinks! “
