“I would eat at Portillo'a every evening if I could afford it. They never disappoint, and the food today is exactly the same as it was before Mr. Portillo sold the business. i have never experienced anything negative, either with the food or with the service. I am a happy Portillo's fan and have been for many years!“
“Gene and Jude's is my preferred destination for Vienna hotdogs. I typically opt for mine plain with a double dog, and it consistently meets the expectations of both myself and my family. I've also tried their tamales, which are of high quality. The popularity of this establishment is evident from the long lines often seen outside. The employees are courteous and welcoming. I highly recommend this establishment and believe you will enjoy it as well.“
“Juiciest burger in Illinois! I've never been to Au Cheval, but several people have told me that paradise pups burger tops Cheval. The bun is tasty, patties are fresh, and the sauce is out of this world. Parking is a bit cramped and be prepared to wait but these burgers are WORTH IT!“
“This is not your typical Chicago style hot dog. This place is art! Yet at the same time: amazing fries, affordable prices, fast and friendly service. Everything a hot dog stand should have and the selections are super creative and delicious. I recommend looking at the menu online ahead of time so you can see what the special is this week. But good luck making the decision!“
“I’m born and raised in Chicago and this was my first time at this place. Their beefs are good quite smaller than what I’ll get in the neighborhood restaurants but they’re good. Served with no cheese but you won’t miss it. I’ve went to this place 4/5 times since I found out about it. You won’t be “
“Flew from Reno to Chicago to see my son play lacrosse in the Milwaukee area. Had to stay in Chicago over night due to problems with our rental car. Happen to stay right next to Frannie"s Beef. So glad we stopped for a Italian beef and sausage combo sandwich. I have been craving a good italian beef sandwich since my last trip to Chicago. This place is an icon. Definitely will be stopping here again.“
“Yummy! I was on a quest to find a true chicago style hotdog i and this place delivered! I always forget to take a picture before digging in! The hotdog was spot on! It was my first time there, so I ordered a cheeseburger and cheese fries to test out too! Everything was absolutely delicious! The owner was super nice and cool! Definitely be back for more!“
“Had the beef with sweet. Best sweet peppers I've ever had on the beef! Beef itself was juicy, a good level of spice, and just about perfect! The inside of is just as described in other reviews, but I care about the product in a place like this!“
“Mickey's is always great. Service is always quick and friendly. We love the hot dogs, pizza puffs, Italian beef and sausage, polish sausage and more.Kid-friendliness: No explicit kids menu but they have kid friendly options like chicken tenders and grilled cheese (and of course hot dogs) which my kids love.“
“First. Let me just say that ive been coming to that area for years and never knew that thjs place existed.. I went through drive-thru (a bit quirky but doable), received my food (the order was correct), got to my destination (east of Manheim rd) the food was still hot. That hot dog and fries was delicious. Next week, im trying the beef.“
“I have been tired of the mill of giant name fast food burgers for a long time. I happened to drive by this place and decided to give it a try. Glad I did! Fries HOT and Salted perfectly. Burger HOT, flavorful, and just the right amount fattiness to let you know you were eating a real burger. This thing was perfect. Thank you, Jimmy's, for reminding me there are amazing burger and dog joints out there!“
“Great little place. Nice music vibe, decôr funky and cool. Have your dollars ready. Had the gyros fries. Excellent, even after sitting they still had a nice outer crunch. A little less meat that than a normal gyros, pita bread a bonus, tzatziki good, nice amount of tomatoe and onion utop. Gave 4 stars as limes were completely old and dry.:(???“
“My go to place for Hot Dogs in the area. For the price and quality this hits the spot. I have tried the beef which is very good and the burgers are pretty good but I always seem to fall back on the Hot Dogs. Service is great and the customers seem to be regulars there (older crowd) since this place has been around for a while.“
“The ultimate Chicago experience. Portillo's gets it right all the time. Real charbroiled hamburger cooked right to achieve that maillard effect, topped with melty yellow cheese, fresh purple onions, tomato and lettuce or try the Chicago style hotdog with that distinctive lime green relish, sport peppers, onions mustard and Portillo seasoning in a poppy seed bun. Whatever you choose to eat at any of their Chicagoland locations, you can't go wrong. Also, the chocolate cake is velvety, moist, but not overly sweet.“
“H I wanted to try Korean cheese dog for the first time, but the egg toast looked delicious so I half-heartedly gave it a try.The store staff is kind and speaks good Japanese, which is refreshing. The toast itself was delicious, the eggs were fluffy, and there were a variety of sauces to choose from.“
“Ok, I love this place so much. I came all the way from Denver to eat their delicious food. I got the two for $7.99 hot dog w/ fries special, the hot Italian beef sandwich and I got a Polish dog deep-fried. HOTT DAMN everything was so damn tasty. From the fries to giardiniera that fell off my Italian sandwich. The service was great, more like fun cuz they all you 2 or 3 times what you got so they can make sure they get it right. And it is cheap to eat there. It was less than $25 for all that deliciousness! Mickey's, you have my heart, thank you! I will be back.“
“This was the most phenomenal Chicago hot dog I've ever had in my 63 years. Just outstanding! The flavor, texture and taste of the all-beef and accompanying fries was simply delicious - a real bargain for the cost, too. A family-run business that could not have been more welcoming. I look forward to my return!“
“Wow Scoobys has got to be one of the greatest hot dog places in my area. Every time I walk in there I get the aroma of French fries in the air. I never know what to order but I usually get a beef and cheese. But their Chicago hot dogs are delicious too. Wash it down with a green river and you might not want to eat again for days.“
“Came here for another corn dog. My wife and really Luke the original kong dog with half beef and half cheese, so we got 4 of them. The corn dogs are good, I just wished the stick wasn't so long. Every time you take your first bite, you will bite into the stick. Otherwise, everything is good here.“
“Yum yum and more yum! This is a Clarendon Hills staple that never gets old. It's perfect for a family ice cream outing, date nights, and even private events. Every time I enter the store I am greeting by warm staff members who are eager to serve. Don't miss out on this wonderful ice cream experience!“
“Nothing special about the dining area, but dining room is clean and the food is solid. I had the Double Cheeseburger Special which includes Fries and a medium Drink. Quality ingredients, burgers cooked perfectly, fresh shredded lettuce, tomato slices, dill pickle and mustard. Add your own ketchup or whatever. It's the little extra touches which can make a burger special. Donald's toasts the bun! Fries were perfect, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and perfectly salted. My wife had the Gyros Special, and she loved the extra onions and the generous sauce. The meat is tasty, and the pita is toasted. Solid gyros! I'm eating in the restaurant on a frigid evening and while the dining room is not full, there is a steady stream of customers coming through. The young lady taking our order is friendly, courteous, attentive and unlike 90% of young people who work in food service! Donald's is a winner!“
“OK, so we wanted authentic Chicago dogs or Polish dogs and Bob-O's was highly recommended on Yelp. I am SO glad we went there. We had a Polish that was grilled with grilled onions and sport peppers. It was absolutely fantastic. We also order something I would never see outside of Chicago...a tamale on a bun prepared just like a regular Chicago dog with onions, mustard, pickles and tomatoes. It was great if strange. I would love to go back if I didn't live 2000 miles away.“
“Mostly the food was very good for real but I got a Gladiator burger that did not have everything on it that they said it would on there plus I asked for peppers and they neglected to put that and yet they put the top part of the tomato that has that brown circle where the stem was on it. I can't eat that and I don't want that on my $11 burger! and that was the only piece of tomato. it made me feel like they don't like me! Then the fried okra was overcooked tough and horrible.“
“Never disappointed with the food and service here. Food was hot and fresh. Everything was delicious. The only disappointing part of the meal was that it had to end. If you're ever in or near addison IL give this place a try. You won't regret it.Vegetarian options: While glancing at my options I noticed a few vegetarian dishes clearly marked as such. I myself am not vegetarian only have them as friends which is why it stood out to me.“
“Best-looking staff anywhere around!! The guys here are ???They make the greatest food even tho they look like male models. Very nice place. My sister comes in from out of town just to come eat here and watch the good-looking tall guy. 10 out of 10 for the food and the “
“This is such a treasure in the community! They have good tasting, quality fare at a reasonable price point. The restaurant always appears clean. The staff has got to be the best around...always friendly and pleasant. I really enjoy the gyro sandwich. I ask for extra meat and it's always so hearty and delicious! Their hotdogs are every bit as tasty as those from Portillo's--and you help support a local business in the process. Just began going to them regularly and it's never disappointing.“
“Never disappointed in the best of all Chicago best beef sandwich I've ever had I've had several things to eat in my life. Wish I could franchise a business like this in the south they don't know what they're missing great service great menu 5 stars“
“Simple fast food, takeway place (no tables). Very freindly people, quick service. The food is plentiful, and good, though not great. What I mean is I have been to similar places with similar menus and others had better food. Very affordable and very plentify are their strengths.“
“We got a couple of things. The burger was good, I'll get one again. Fish sandwich was ok, wife said a bit to much breading. Chicken tenders were delicious!! So many cheese curds in a large order. Had enough for munching on the next day. Rootbeer was out of this world. Next visit is rootbeer floats.“
“Ready friendly service. I ordered a Philly Chicken sandwich with fries. It was not noted that the sandwich was made with mushrooms, but after receiving it I noticed it had mushrooms. I am allergic so I returned the sandwich and they made me a fresh one. My only complaint is that that sandwich would have been superb with honey mustard. Please add honey mustard to your condiment offerings!“
“My wife had a craving for a Smashburger. We decided to skip the name brand places and try Johnny B’s. It did not disappoint! Perfectly cooked burger and well done fries hit the spot. Awesome that they have beer too. A beer and a burger equals happiness!“
“Teddy’s is our favorite local spot with some of the best Chicago staples! Great hot dogs, beef sandwiches, and pepper and egg sandwiches during lent! Great daily soups as well! We love the Italian ice year round too! Iota a great family owned spot and we keep coming back!“
“My food was fye. Everything was hot and my shake was mixed with pineapple and strawberry (which I included in the notes and they actually read it and did it it's a lot of places that don't). Gyro cheeseburger has always been my go to.“
“Came across this place by accident, and saw that they had a breaded-steak sandwich, which is really hard to come by, so I just had to try it. Ordered the 12-inch sandwich, thinking I'd be getting something smaller, but surprised to see that it was indeed a foot long. I liked the marinara sauce and melted mozzarella. Next time, I'll ask for sweet peppers as well. Got a small order of fries that were still generous. Will return to try their other sandwiches!“
“I love when I get food that’s super Duper hot and I have to wait for it to pull off a little before I eat it. Everything tasted fresh considering it’s just a corndog. But very delicious toppings and the Kong fries were great. This is my favorite fast food.Parking: Clean ??Wheelchair accessibility: It’s a mall totally open. We parked in a handicap parking space right next to entrance ??“
“I visited this location on 11/5/23 because my boyfriend had been saying how good it is. I ordered a 6 piece chicken tender and asked for 3 regular tenders and 3 barbecue tenders and my boyfriend got a patty melt, we also got cheese fries, drinks and condiments. The 3 staff members working were so friendly and nice! The tenders were amazing... probably the best chicken tenders I've ever had, and the ranch was so good that I wish I had taken some home. My boyfriend liked his patty melt as well. The cheese fries were pretty good and came with plenty of cheese sauce. I definitely will be coming here again for the chicken tenders and ranch! 10/10!“
“This is a small space in an older building with no tables. One guy was there by himself serving up orders as quick and efficient as some places with an entire staff.I ordered the Snappy Dog. Fries were piled on top. Ugh, I hate that. I realize it's an old Chicago tradition but it's not my thing. I have to admit it does give the fries some extra flavor in this case.It was on a fresh poppy seed bun with sport peppers, cheese sauce, onions, and their secret sauce (which tasted a lot like barbecue sauce). It was tasty with a bit of zip but very messy.I wouldn't mind trying some of their other unique menu items sometime.“
“The Chicago style special, with a hot dog, pop, and chips definitely hit the spot before my flight. The Chicago-style dog with a poppy seed bun and a pickle, tomato, relish, onions, jalapeño peppers, and of course mustard, was delicious. I was tempted to go after one of the pizzas too but resisted.“
“It's portillos, what nor do you need to say. Where a burger truly is "flame broiled" and awesome. Where the tamales are steamed amazingness. And the fries . . . Are to die for. Have loved it for decades. Still the same awesomeness.“
“I love this place… it reminds me of my childhood growing up in Chicago. The fries are real cut fresh fries.?The staff was quiet but friendly. The Italian beef was ? they dipped it as many times as I liked, and I love a soggy beef. The gyro burger was ?the gyro meat was cooked to perfection and everything was fresh. If you ❤️ Chicago style food this is definitely the place to go.“
“Small older building but everything was clean. There were a few high tables and a bar with stools lining the window. Lots of character to the place. Good prices, plenty of menu choices, and the staff was friendly enough.I ordered the double cheeseburger. It was grilled on the flat top and then chargrilled, always a good sign of a good burger. It was well seasoned and served on a toasted bun. Thumbs up.“
“If there was an option for 4 1/2 stars that would be my actual rating. Got a double cheeseburger with fries and root beer. Everything was great except one tiny problem... No bacon!! Only thing better than a greasy burger is a greasy burger with bacon! Just my opinion. All in all, great job! Fast and friendly service. Will definitely be back.“
“Went to this Portillos in Bloomingdale drive thru only.We ordered Italian beef, chopped salads, and a hot dog.The Italian beef is excellent, as always. Same for the chicken chop salad. The hot dog, however, was rather tough. I believe it had been overcooked, making it somewhat chewy.“
“I went there this past weekend. I order Italian beef everytime my family goes to the Chicago area. They are in the top 3 Italian beefs I had ever had in all my life. The good was so good. The service was amazing. All smiles. Whenever I am in the area I will definitely return there. They are expensive and charge for peppers but worth every penny.“
“Place was old school with workers who have been there for several years. It was fun to listen to the old timers banter each other and the regulars. The food was okay, not the traditional gyro but huge portions of meat and onions if that’s what you’re looking for.“
“Watch out Portillos this place can beat your hotdogs !! So good. The fries are yummy as well. I do love how the hotdogs and fries come together. Inside was ok. Cutish ambiance. . The service was nice. I did tell the lady that it was our first time hete. we didn't know they had specials so she could've saved us some money by telling us about them instead of ordering everything individually. We will be back to try other food.“
