We were very pleased we chose this place right down the street from our hotel. The food was excellent, and the service was fast. I especially recommend the octopus and cannellini small plate - absolutely divine.The prices were also great. I would have expected to pay at least 50% more for a meal of this quality in the Chicago area.
I enjoyed my lunch special of soup and half a sandwich with grilled vegetables. For me, the bread really makes the sandwich, and Trattoria Demi's bread is the tops. My companions enjoyed their sandwiches and especially the soup (chicken broth and white beans). I look forward to returning and trying other items on their menu.

We had a wonderful lunch at this lovely Italian restaurant. Something for everyone from pasta to sandwiches, all creative and delicious! Great service and lovely Italian atmosphere.
