“I have never been to this restaurant and was in the city visiting and found this hidden but right out front gem.. I actually know one the owners and was so super happy to see her after over at least 10 years. It's on 95th street east of Kedzie in Evergreen Park. There is free parking in the lot and in front. The food was good.. I didn't really care for the taste of the syrup but my date said it was good to him. I had pancakes, eggs over medium and grits. He had a strawberry waffle which was really good, grits and eggs fried hard. He said that coffee was really good and fresh, didn't have the burnt taste. He had about 6 small cups with Irish Crème Creamer. I did taste it and it was actually good.. The Irish Crème creamer was like toffee to me. Our waitress was funny and very hospitable. They had a lot of customers sitting in and taking out. Also I could tell they have regulars. They had a group in the back celebrating a birthday. It's not modern but they provided cleanliness, even in the restroom, quality food and excellent service!! ENJOY!“

“Good is great with fast service. The girls that work here work well together and are friendly. The owner is walling around bussing tables and running food and I respect the hell outta that. He saw me struggling with buttering my toast, told me to hold on and came back with softened butter.“

Once in a while we get it to go and the food is just as good and ready when we get there to pick it up. “My best friend and I met up for breakfast at Bacon and Jam. This was our first time eating here. I ordered the Opa omelet and my friend ordered the Butcher Omlete. Our waitress was amazing she welcomed us to the restaurant and gave us plenty of time to order and to eat. We didn't feel rushed at all. She was very attentive with our coffee refills. I ordered coffee followed by a skillet that I customized a bit. It came out exactly as ordered. The seasoning was a bit lacking for my taste buds but nothing a little salt and pepper didn't address. “I'm from georgia and had a late night with friends. It's tradition to hit a waffle house after a night. Well to all my southern folks this is as close to waffle house your'e gonna get. From the atmosphere, resturant layout, and buildings, it is a nice peice of home away from home. Chunky is a fantastic server and showed us a tremenous amount a care and attentiveness. She brought a genuine aura to our night thats rare in a life filtered by facades. Food was fantastic and differentiates itself from waffle house which made it in to its own experience. “Had a great brunch at Azul 18! There were lots of outdoor seating options but we opted for indoor. It was nice and bright with good music. We tried the life juice and arnold palmer. The life juice was soooo good I should've gotten a large! The arnold palmer wasn't bad just not what was expected. For food we got the smoked salmon benedict and the 8oz new york strip steak. I loved the smoked salmon benedict! One egg was significantly more runny which unsettled me a little but the flavors overall were great. The steak and eggs were really good as well. The eggs were seasoned perfectly but the steak wasn't cooked to order and was inconsistent. We had two waiters, both very nice. We later learned there was some miscommunication about where the servers were sectioned which is why we had 2. Because of this I give them grace for not checking in on us until after we were done eating. The prices were also decent and our bill was cheaper than expected. We will definitely return and I look forward to trying another benedict!“

Our waitress accessible to us (we sat in front of her station) while she still got out to each of the tables for coffee refills.First visit - got the pork chop sandwich. Generous size pork chop, no bone, a little drier and less caramelization than I preferred but still above average. Crinkle cut fries were $1.50 on top of the $6.50 sandwich. TV set to NBC (Dateline was on) but not loud. Cash only, ATM available. Tap water available so you're not compelled to pay for a drink if you prefer not to. (Also a hint to me that things are hopefully clean enough for washed cups and clean water.)Clientele that day was a mix of Black women and men, owner/staff appear Mexican, and my co-worker and I are neither but we all enjoyed a workday lunch.Reserving a star until another visit for breakfast and will snag photos of new menu next time. “I wanted the Cheeseburger with some Spicy fries. I watched him grill it and flip it a few feet away from me. The sizzle crackled and popped to prepare me for that first bite. I smashed the bread a little bit to cut my burger in half properly. The juices escaped the sides and left it's mark on my plate. Some of the fries couldn't escape it's reach.I forgot to take a picture for you, but I promise you (this place makes burgers better than anyone I could think of).
