“Steel cafe is soo convenient and easy to access with the fastest service. The gym is amazing itself but the cafe has been the best addition to the gym. The workers in there are always so sweet.Anytime I need a little pick me up before a workout I grab a protein coffee and it gives me the best amount of energy and that doesn’t leave me with anxiety.There are so many fresh food options along with drinks and as a picky eater I always find something I love that helps me reach my daily protein intake!“

“Absolutely a treat to have this place in Glenview. They have a location off Glenview Road but are also in The Glenview Park Center and a Evanston location. Whether you are health conscious, have good allergies or just like to try different thing... the staff and owner is sooo informative. They know all about their ingredients and products. They have seasonal items too and holiday themed too. Love the Smoothies, he wide varieties of available bowl and oatmeal bowl, great soups with cheesy waffle is a must. The spinach waffle is awesome and the banana bread waffle is a must to try! Also great detox beverages! You can find fresh pressed juice as well. Worth the extra few dollars for truly high quality ingredients and superior service. “Nice little neighborhood place. The hours are odd so you have to check if they are open. I think they close mon-wed. I found this place looking for queso birria tacos. For $15 you get 4 decent sized tacos with the consommé. Great meaty tacos, I'm a big guy and I usually could knock out 8-10 tacos. I could only eat 6 here. The guacamole was big enough for me and my buddy. They have a juice bar inside and we ordered off of the server's recommendation. She recommended a pineapple drink and it was solid. We ended up getting a second order of drinks for the road. They don't have parking but you should be able to find something across the street. Place is clean and the cook wore gloves. I appreciate when a place is clean and people are wearing gloves. The waitress/server was very helpful and had great recommendations. She was easy to talk to since I don't speak Spanish. There was a bunch of online orders and takeout which in my opinion is good. That means there's no old food, they sell it all and buy fresh. Bathrooms were clean. I noticed the table next to me ordered a latte and seen they had an espresso machine. I haven't tried the coffee so I can't talk about the quality. Just that they have an espresso machine. I like this place a lot. Very friendly staff, great food and great amount of food for the price. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you.“

“Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

“Smooth, creamy, with a bit of crunch and so decadent and healthy. Who said you can't have the best of two worlds?? It's definitely on the pricey side but it's in a popular part of Chicago so that's to be expected. I stopped by here after many runs I did during the 100 degrees weather weeks.. and the delicious smoothies were worth every sip! They can customize them to your liking if you want to swap out certain ingredients. Service was super friendly and recognized my sweaty face after my second visit which made me laugh. I especially loved the maca protein smoothie. Take my money.“

“This is a perfect addition to DG! I’ve tried so many acai places in the city but the bowl I had from here today was honestly the best one by a long shot. I ordered the large size because usually I feel like you get skimped on acai bowls but this wasn’t the case at all, it was actually huge and worth the price. The only small issue I had was that the acai bowl was so packed with toppings (which is great), that when I took the lid off the container I had to transfer it to a bigger bowl or it would’ve made a huge mess. Other places I’ve been to have used containers with a wider rim at the top so the toppings don’t spill out and it’s easier to mix. But the acai itself was amazing, I’ll definitely be back to try more off the menu“

“We were six and we dine together once a month, alternating between Chicago and Oak Brook. Today it was Beatrix in Oak Brook and I was pleasantly surprised. Walking in, the restaurant was extremely busy with lots of people celebrating Wednesday lunch. We were seated immediately and our attentive server came by to see what we wanted. The appetizer list was small so we ordered our main courses, which all found enjoyable. I had the Poke bowl and asked for chop sticks but there were none available. I also asked for some chips for my tuna poke and the waiter delivered a large bowl of chips costing $4.95. I did not want all those chips so I had an issue when I got my check. I also brought wine and was told over the phone that the corkage fee would be $15 but I was charged $25 for the corkage. I pointed out the two problems to our server, he said no worries, and promptly removed both questioned charges. All in all, we had a very nice meal and first time experience at Beatrix. We will return in the future,“

“Don’t let the name fool you. This place is as authentic as anything you’ll find on Argyle. They have all the usual dishes but come here to try something less common. I had the crab rangoon and liked their homemade version of this typical guilty pleasure dish. Then I had Bún Riêu which was light and flavorful. It’s attached to a Filipino grocery and seafood store, and some other Filipino and Asian food stalls, restaurants, and bakeries so there’s lots to explore and taste.“

“Came here in the middle of the day during a weekday, so it was pretty empty. That also mean we got served very quickly. The store had a cute wall and seating along the wall, but no tables. So it might be a little awkward if you have a large group. The drinks were pretty good though, we got the brown sugar milk tea everything was decent. Definitely not the best boba I've had, but the pearls were decently chewy and the flavor was decently good. My friend enjoyed his smoothie as well. Overall a pretty solid boba place. I'd come back again.“

Sauce is amazing here and I like the atmosphere but it seems a bit small and hard to find seats here. I think they could improve seating and decorations a bit. Service was good.“
