“This little gem is by far the best breakfast you can get in Southern Illinois. It's the only place my 5 and 2 year old will eat consistently and I don't order kids stuff. They are eating 5 or 6 veggies in their meals from here and that is just beautiful. After years of being loyal to places like The Egg and I and First Watch, this little place does what they do, except better tasting, actual seasonings on the food and dang near half the price. From price, to friendliness, to taste, this is my go to Breakfast place. “We love Lexi’s! Karaoke is our favorite on Thursdays! Food is consistent and we love the pizza! Our daughter loves it as the staff are very kid friendly and they even have some kids games! They started a fried chicken Sunday and it is awesome! The chicken is homemade quality and the mash potatoes are so yummy! “Great little local bar and restaurant. We came in for the Breese Optimist Fall Fest and stayed at a nearby farmhouse. The "Friday Fish Fry" and $2.50 beers brought us in. The fish was well breaded and light, but the homemade hush puppies were the star of the show: perfectly crisp with a soft, moist center that fell apart when biting into them but stayed together enough to cut them in half and butter them (in other words, basically perfect hush puppies). Jackie was such a friendly server (and cook, and dishwasher, and Jack-of-all-trades). Even though we had never been there before, she made us feel at home like we were eating at a family friend's house. In fact, we loved it there so much, we came back for (equally delicious) breakfast the next 2 days. Jackie makes an insanely good blackberry jelly! When we come back for next year's Optimist Fall Fest, we will undoubtedly be back!“

I was sitting at the bar, but myself, after a long day of work and was grabbing something to eat. This wasn't my first choice, but my usual place was transitioning and was closed. I knew he was one of the owners because the bartender was pointing out the owners to someone who had walked up to the bar and asked about an old owner who had left. First impression: (We're) not welcomed. (Our) business is not wanted. I'm just saying. ☹️?“

“Good burger out of freeburg destination to deliver. Onion rings was not fresh but mixed to 3to2 fresh to 4 or 5 old. Two same orders both had same side order with rings. Stephanie was super sweet in delivery. I gave the 20 or 25% gratuity cuzz it was late before Thanksgiving day. Personally il just stick to rifscniders here in town an go pick it up.
