“We were traveling from Indy to Moline . We stopped in because of their reviews . All appetizers are homemade , not frozen. We had the scorpion tails !! Very fresh and unique flavor , I would order it again. We shared the Big Mic smash tacos , also original to Opies . It was plenty to share and the flavor was awesome . Opie herself was our server and she was extremely personable ! Well worth the stop !”

Outdoor dining in the warmer months is a must, but the food year round is delicious. They offer shipping of their own brew & there's always something new to look at when visiting. Highly recommend visiting when Experiencing Galesburg.”

Parking: The parking lot is located in front of the restaurant and there is space in the back as well.

Kid-friendliness: Staff is friendly and patient even with kids! You can adjust meals with a good amount of ease.”

“We had our son's rehearsal dinner at Iron Spike on June 7th 2024 and it was WONDERFUL! Manager Dan and bartender Ashley were very easy to work with and amazing. I didn't have to worry about anything. I had so many compliments from the atmosphere, to the food to the drinks from ours guest. All the compliments go to Dan,, Ashley,, and the rest of the team at Iron Spike. Everyone there had a really good time. If you need a venue don't hesitate to check out Iron Spike's party room, you will not be disappointed.”

“I haven't been to an AppleBee's in a long time and after a long day of driving we decided to walk from our hotel room to catch a hearty meal. We splurged and got drinks to relax. The bartender was not on his game as we waited quite a while and when I ordered a second drink (which I shouldn't have) it took FOREVER and we were ready to go at this point, and it didn't taste quite the same as the first one. The Cajun salmon was really good!! The server seemed like it was the end of her shift and was kinda ready to go (it was a little late, but not that late). My husband noted his food and whiskey sour were ok, not great. The atmosphere was really the same AppleBee's you find nationwide, which I'm sure is standard.
I know inflation and all that, but it really seemed expensive to me for an average person's nice dinner establishment and what we got for over $100 ( 3 drinks and 2 meals)”

“This review is for the Subway on Henderson Street. If you go to Subway in Galesburg, DO NOT go to the one on East Main. Go to the one on Henderson Street. The people are much nicer, the sit-down area is cleaner and you get enough on your sandwich to know it's a sandwich and not just a loaf of bread.”

“I have been curious about this place for as long as it's been in business and I finally made the trip in today for lunch. We were SO impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the dining room and the food was absolutely delicious and fresh with such a wide array of choices and don't get me started on that Godiva cheesecake... Heavenly! Now I could kick myself for not trying it sooner. We have really been missing out. Definitely will be back!”

“We asked The Carriage House to make a bunch of yummy goodies for Jordyn and Isaiah‘s wedding. Even though we are like family to the Anderson’s, I will say they treat everyone like family. We had chocolate cupcakes, vanilla cupcakes, vanilla vegan and gluten-free cupcakes(they are delicious), custom designed sugar cookies, which included the tiniest rose flowers, the detail was amazing on every single one. Laura is always a joy to work with, she always goes above and beyond any and all expectations. The staff at The Carriage House is amazing as well. I recommend them for any large event, family gathering, or if you just want to pop in for a good cup of coffee and baked good. We love The Carriage House and can’t thank you enough for making our special day even more special🤍”

“I am allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs. It’s insane I can come here and pick anything in the place. I love it and so does my son (no allergies). Everything we’ve tried has been amazing. My current favorite is maple cookie crunch! I am hopeful that a graham cracker flavored treat will be made sometime! 10/10 recommend.”

“We came in to play some darts and have a few drinks and eat some food. It’s a great welcoming atmosphere. The bar don’t serve food but the owner was sure to go to another bar he owns that does and bring us wings. We being not from around here and here for work felt very welcome. Everyone was so interested in what we do for work and very polite. We will definitely be making this our go to bar while we are in town. I highly recommend stopping in here if you’re in the area. Thank you very much to these friendly group of amazing people for not looking at us like we’re outsiders like almost every place we go to does we greatly appreciate it.”

The calamari is great! You wont regret trying anything off of the menu! The jalapeño chicken wraps to the meat loaf all the way to the steaks are great choices depending on what you are craving that day! Did I mention that the salad bar is phenomenal? I've tried many of the drinks here, and I love the long islands and I especially love their red cabernet sauvingons! this place is great whether you are coming here alone, with a group, or for date night! I could really go on and on about why you should eat here but I'd love to see you experience it for yourself! Tonight I had the pleasure of Alexia and Kolissa serving me and they are both great compliments to this establishment! They also were more than accommodating! 5 out 5 EVERYTIME!”

“After a rough night with little sleep, I came to McDonald’s for breakfast. I went through the drive thru and was immediately greeted with kindness. The ladies at both windows greeted me with a smile and told me to have a great morning. The lady at the second window noticed I was having a rough morning and even went as far as to genuinely ask if I was okay. I know how hard it is to be kind and cheerful some mornings and this morning the kindness was greatly appreciated.”

“The food was probably a 6/10 but I had to wait 15 minutes in the drive thru to receive the food. It seems they eye shot staffed so I understand and the customer service was actually very kind. I would come back to this location. Although, I don’t think it’s as good as it used to be when I was a kid and eating in there was a treat.
