“great find thanks to Yelp located downtown on the river the space is wide open with high ceilings with a lot of natural sunlight coming in. The beer selection was good with a variety of tastes so everyone was pleased . The upper loft area overlooks the river perfect for private parties“
“Went to meet up with a friend from high school and as I sat down, I was graciously met by our server, Bella. As I waited for him to show up, she checked on me every so often to see if I needed anything and, after he showed up and we placed our order, she continued to check on us, even as the place was filled up on the upper patio. Food was very good, very nice atmosphere and our server, Bella, was the best server I’ve had at any restaurant I’ve been to. She was so attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I’m hoping the next time I go there, that Bella is working, she’s the best“
“My wife and I love this place! We've been on and off regulars for a few years now, and it just feels like our very own Cheers. We started coming for the beer and cocktails from the fully stocked bar because it's so close to home, and the atmosphere and quality food choices on the menu drew us back for more. TOn top of that, the entire staff here are so welcoming and friendly. These are good people running a fantastic business like nothing we've ever found anywhere else in this area. We always bring our family and friends whenever they come to visit. Strongly recommend, two thumbs up!!“
“Was really hard to find this place even with google maps. The building's exterior does not look like a tavern house at all and we were worried we drove into an office space.Otherwise, the place was incredoble. Food was great but the cheese curd appetizer was especially the highlight. One of the best dipping sauces I had. Cheese curds are a must try here.Waitress was very kind and helpful with understanding the beer menu. All this plus the dedicated pinball area makes this place a great hang out. Now if only the exterior matched how fun and lively the interior was.Parking: Parking will be out front of the giant white building. If you see the two brothers logo on the front door (its a single door), you're at the right spot.“
“Awesome food and a laid-back environment to grab a bite. They brew their own beers here and incorporate some of those brews into the dishes they offer. The pretzel appetizer comes with beer cheese, which has the DuPage Domaine brew in the recipe. It's really fantastic ?? I'm not a beer aficionado, but I did try a flight. The flight offers different options of Pilsner, IPA, golden ale and pale ale. All were pretty light and refreshing. My husband and I split the flight.The BBQ chicken sandwich and the fish tacos were absolutely amazing. I 100% recommend! We have visited here again recently just for the fish tacos. The tacos have so many layers of awesome flavor bombs and texture, from the very lightly breaded fish to the soy marinaded cabbage. Big flavor and big crunch ?Service was good and everyone was very friendly. This place is great for big friend gatherings and good for kids.The menu has alot of options from appetizers to small plates, to entrees. There are some vegetarian /vegan options, and alot of the dishes can be made gluten free too so something for everyone!You can dine in or do take out and pick up. They do not deliver.“
“Originally planned to stop in for a drink but ended up staying awhile longer because of how great the service and atmosphere was! My group was able to sit outside in one of the enclosed tables and there was a speaker to connect our phone to play music to.Our server Paul was the best! He had such a great personality and was thorough in explaining drink/food options. He went above expectations and easily became a local tour guide in presenting the difference between Portillo's chocolate shakes.“
“This was my first visit here, and initially, I was somewhat puzzled about where to go. However, the hostess was exceptionally welcoming and kind, taking the time to guide me through both areas. Upon entering, you find the restaurant to the right and, to the left, a bar along with a venue for live music. I visited on a Saturday night specifically for the live performance by Semple Band, and it was incredible. There was a $15 entry fee, payable in cash only. I hadn't brought any cash, but fortunately, there was an ATM right at the entrance, which was convenient. Inside the live music venue, there are two floors and plenty of space for dancing. There were lots of tables and seatings available, but you have to grab them quickly as they're first come, first served. The live music venue opens at 7:45 PM. Both the bartenders and the staff were amiable and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed the roundhouse burger with waffle fries, priced at $16, and the beef nachos for $20. Both dishes were scrumptious, and I'd definitely order them again. The live band was fantastic, and I met many wonderful people. I had a great time at this venue.“
“A busy Sunday afternoon in and we sat at the bar. Had Pot Stickers as an Appetizer. A nice start Had a few of the in-house suds. Very nice. Especially liked Viking Red Ale. Did a Pub burger with Swiss and fries. Tasty. My friend did the French Onion soup as a main plate. He enjoyed it. Menu had many options. Service was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Brant, out main server, but all the bar staff helped out. Liked all the historical photos. First time, but not the last time! A gem in Gem in Geneva.“
